That's not exactly what McCain said. He said that he would be willing to keep troops and bases in Iraq for the next 100 years, similar to how we have bases in S. Korea and Europe. And he said that would only be a possibility if the region stabilized and our troops weren't always under attack.

Well, let me put it this way.... I think it's obvious more blacks are voting for Obama because he is black. That said, I think there is still racism, of course, but my point was it definately goes both ways. Just like if Obama wins the nominee he will face racism in the general election (as will Hillary being a woman) Hillary is facing it now from blacks who otherwise adored the CLintons but will not get their vote because there is a black man in the running and she is white. Actually Mrs. Clinton is playing with the emotions of people by offering a salary raise to US$9.50/hour in a middle of an economical recession. She's not stupid, though. She said that in El Paso, Texas, where the minimum wage is US$6.25.

With her current deficit Hillary needs not just a win but a big margin of victory in TX. Obama is going to be ahead by over 120 pledged delegates (maybe 150) and Texas only has 193 to split between them.
Superdelegates state their preferences now, but it's reasonable to expect they will get behind the people's choice. They're starting to slip already.

So who do you think people ought to vote for? Mccain? Clinton? Paul? There is no one person who has enough experience or is actually ready to be president. I mean hell, Bush has been president for seven years and isn't ready. People adapt to that job. Who's to say that Barack wouldn't better adapt to the presidency than anyone else. I know if he beats the Clinton machine and the racist views of many....he deserves a chance at the White House.

I didn't say if you don't vote for Barack you're a racist. I'm just admitting the fact that alot of America is still racist and Obama has to get over that just like he has to get over the power of the Clintons. Which btw he's doing a really good job of so far. Now old Mccain will point out Barack's liberal views. However, Barack will remind us that Mccain said we should be in Iraq for 100 years or so. SCW01902, the only reason Obama is where he is is becasue there is racism on the side of the black people who are ONLY voting for him BECAUSE he is BLACK! You really do not have a point in saying he has to fight racism because actually it is racism against whites by the blacks that Obama has gotten as far as he has. I see plenty of whites voting for Obama. It is over 90% of blacks that won't vote for CLinton. And the Clintons did alot for blacks so why is that?Get your facts straight you nimrod!

I agree with you that alot of black voters are voting for Obama simply because he is black; but c'mon now, are you suggesting that whites arn't racist against blacks anymore? As for those black and white people voting for Barack....well at the end of the day it's Americans right to vote for whomever and for whatever reason. You don't like it....then move!

Clinton did a lot for blacks? His welfare reform legislation of August 1996 threw more black people into the streets than any other president in history.

Mccain said that it may take 100 years to be in Iraq in order to win the war. You honestly think you will have people volunteer for the next twenty years with a war as unpopular as this one? In order for Mccain to achieve his goal in Iraq, he will have to call for a draft at some point. Respect that buddy! Barack will be the next president...thanks for playing :)

That's not exactly what McCain said. He said that he would be willing to keep troops and bases in Iraq for the next 100 years, similar to how we have bases in S. Korea and Europe. And he said that would only be a possibility if the region stabilized and our troops weren't always under attack.

srad, If you don't favor a draft during wartime, then you adopt an elitist philosophy or 'I'll send your kid to fight my war, but NOT my kid' If you're indeed patriotic during time of war, then don't fear a draft, embrace it. Just as you embrace the debacle that has been created by the repubes.
