What`s your job man? I actually little bit envy :-). But I`m pretty sure, I would play better than you, if I have this gear. I would never go out of my home, becose there wouldn`t be reason.
haha i work at a music store. but the gear has nothing to do with the playing. i could play through my line 6 and still out play people using better gear than me.
yeye, the vans shoes.. you gotta wear those everytime you play or else its not your usual rig.. if you wear different shoes you gotta give us an update video, haa
a 50 watt dual rec.? never heard of that. A Dual Rec. is primarily a 100 watt amp unless you remove a couple of tubes or have a Mesa model with the switchable wattage.
is that dual rec a 50w? im not a huge fan of mesa's other than the 50w Dual Recs, anything else and you have to run them so loud to make them sound good, I prefer the chunkyness of a 50w
i would prefer a dual over a triple still, and i also have a jcm900, its the 100 watt but i run it at 50 cutz it sounds less glassy and harsh, which the 900's are already known for, must be retubed!
everybody always says that the clean channel on the peavey is no good but i have my clean on the crunch mode without the "boost" and my settings are pretty great.
as far as distortion i think that raw amp distortion and tone for metal the peavey has it. now if you add a bunch of peadels then yes you can make anything sound good.
but i think that for $1200 the peavey has it. i dont know how much the mesa is but i would gess that its more.
Yeah, sorry don't agree. Your testimony is bias. Even though I have the dual rectifier, I would admit that the 6505+ has good metal tones, but nowhere near the gain the Mesa has. It doesn't matter how much it is, if it is better, it's simply that, Better...
you're good at guitar man i have a few questions. how long did it take you to learn how to sweep and what was your learning process. you're a pretty clean sweeper. im self taught and have been playing about 4 years but i cant stay focused on practicing sweeps cause it gets boring for me. any advice? oh and it was smart of you to tape your pedals
for sweeps just look at all the tutorials by paul gilbert and john petrucci they're way in depth and very beneficial i've been playing 2 years and from my experience i've learned practicing slow and building up to full speed is the most important factor in clean sweeping
VERY NICE GEAR!!!
LOL I have a Zoom g2.1u, a cry baby GCB-95 and a peavy rage 158 but I can play better than you *troll face*

which would you recommend man? the recto or the JCM 900? im amp hunting and the Single recto and JCM are well within my budget?
15viceandvirtues 2 years ago
Depends, what kind of music do you play?
PYROSF 2 years ago
Honestly, anything. My bands full of people with huge tastes in music..from led zep all the way to deicide.
15viceandvirtues 2 years ago
Personally, I would get the JCM 900.
I have one, it's amazing.
Plus its like the base sound for most songs/bands.
and if you need to get a heavier or just plain different sound you can always throw a pedal in front of it.

holy shit dude!!! you got a fucking nice rack!

the dual recs only come in 100 watts, the 50watts are single recs, i have one of those now along with my jcm 900 they sound amazing.

alright man.
thats the thing about life, people disagree. He asked an opinion and I gave mine.
and my testimony is bias, because he asked which amp would be recommended, and I gave him my opinion.
666ScoopsOfLordGod 2 years ago
then I will agree to disagree :-p
emgguitarist15 2 years ago
all you need is the tube screamer and the mesa for brutal tone no need for the line 6 stuff it's all digital crappy cept the boss :)
