Yes, it's true that GSP was greased. It's true he had an unfair advantage in the fight. Would it have changed the outcome? Nope. BJ lost every aspect of the fight, not just the part where GSP was in his guard (the only place where the grease would have made a difference in that particular fight).

Anyone who trains no-gi, knows that an athlete like George can posture up and keep your guard low with NO vaseline. He's way too strong to be in the cage with BJ, and his MMA wrestling is second to none. Should that vaseline have been applied? No. Did it effect Bj's chance of winning? No.
This is simply a case of superior positioning skills, and greater physical prowess.

@WhitedCOW It was a close decision the first time they fought, but after the loss to Serra, GSP seemed to become very motivated and was a much better fighter in the fights after that leading up to their 2nd fight. I think he would have won either way. Listen, I like both fighters but realistically I think GSP is a little too big for BJ. Penn goes up in weight and GSP has to cut down to make that fight.

Before Gsp greased up and took him down, Gsp may have gotten more shots in, but round 1 was pretty even, Supermanpunch is still just a punch and BJ landed a few too in round 1. After GSP took BJ down in round 2-5, it was too late, BJ was too tired from GSp's grease wrestling, and couldn't get his standup together. I think BJ coulda used mission control, and no question coulda got back up to the feet.

Yes, it's true that GSP was greased. It's true he had an unfair advantage in the fight. Would it have changed the outcome? Nope. BJ lost every aspect of the fight, not just the part where GSP was in his guard (the only place where the grease would have made a difference in that particular fight).

Anyone who trains no-gi, knows that an athlete like George can posture up and keep your guard low with NO vaseline. He's way too strong to be in the cage with BJ, and his MMA wrestling is second to none. Should that vaseline have been applied? No. Did it effect Bj's chance of winning? No.
This is simply a case of superior positioning skills, and greater physical prowess.
Fedor did this to Nog for 15 mins without the aid of any vaseline. It's difficult, but not impossible.

@WhitedCOW It was a close decision the first time they fought, but after the loss to Serra, GSP seemed to become very motivated and was a much better fighter in the fights after that leading up to their 2nd fight. I think he would have won either way. Listen, I like both fighters but realistically I think GSP is a little too big for BJ. Penn goes up in weight and GSP has to cut down to make that fight.

Before Gsp greased up and took him down, Gsp may have gotten more shots in, but round 1 was pretty even, Supermanpunch is still just a punch and BJ landed a few too in round 1. After GSP took BJ down in round 2-5, it was too late, BJ was too tired from GSp's grease wrestling, and couldn't get his standup together. I think BJ coulda used mission control, and no question coulda got back up to the feet.

wow this answers some questions i had! i noticed in the past that when i pleasured myself using liberal amounts of petroleum jelly, if i were to re-pleasure at a later time not having showered in the meantime, that i would notice i was still a bit slick after i got to tuggin. so it was the emulsification of the jelly that maybe was still in my shorts and on the skin from before. a load off my mind!

Wow dude i actually thought that GSP was a legit fighter and that no one is currently at his level in the MMA game. Yeah i believed that until i read about GSP and greasing. BJ Penn is known for working on his back and holding his opponents in his "guard" and look at that fight. Penn couldn't even hold GSP and you can see his legs slipping off of GSP greased up back. Basically GSP has been greasing even before he fought Penn meaning that his road to being the best is questionable.

@pascalbellerose there is no doubt that GSP is a great athlete..no one is saying that he isn't..But there is also no doubt that he cheated in the BJ Penn fight...i mean did you even watch the video? and as for american's not accepting a canadian fighter? we don't care where he's from.. that doesn't change the fact that he cheated..any american fighter who did the same thing would be under the same scrutiny.. He has a lot of skill and talent thats why him cheating is so lame..
