I don't know if I'm glad enough for him to compensate how sorry I feel for the other contestents. That's because while being glad for Neal, as he's quite emotional and touching, I'm also sorry for his opponents; some were better. And I'm sorry for them, because while being better, they've lost not to Neal's talent, but to Neal's story. To the "emotional and touching" I was talking about.

Neal did "Nessun Dorma" good, but far... far away from (out)standing ovation.

It takes no "true" talent. Singing opera is just a different type of talent. There are soft voices out there that are just as amazing. They're just not powerful enough to sing opera. Same, most opera voices don't sound good when singing pop.

But I agree with you. Opera singers are more impressive. TRUE opera singers. I wanted Paul Potts to win Britain's Got Talent. I wished Jackie Evancho won America's Got Talent, I was outraged she didn't. But Neal E. Boyd wasn't good enough.

he has a great voice yes but eli should have won. neal used a repeat song he already knew. eli switched it up every week to show the judges what he could do not use the same song they already heard him sing.

Compared to Donald Braswell's operatic voice this guy is mush. I read Donald wasn't allowed to sing opera too much competition for his shaky wanna be Pavarotti cry baby. Donald's voice is like silk Neal's voice is like a pig's ear. Proves you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. After listening to Donald's voice on his myspace I was outraged he wasn't allowed to use his majestic opera voice to compete with this sow. Besides Donald is the most handsome man to ever appear on AGT.

I am happy for him he won, he is a great opera singer. I have great respect for people who can sing or play an instrument BUT I have even greater respect for people who write their own music. In the final, Eli Mattson couldn't reach high tones in the song he sang that caused me unimpressed. Neal really could reach very high tones that I think he deserved to win.
