frettin' the octave with the little finger enables you to mute the low E-string with your middle-finger - works better for me

This is a great lesson... It Is Not Perfect... but it dont need to be! This gave me the basics and if you can play this then you can easily work out the strumming pattern and such by ear! Good lesson M8

What i do to mute the e string is i use my index finger to mute it. I don't use my middle finger, just use the last part of the finger to touch it a little bit. Seems easier for me :)

No no my friend it is a PRS 10 top trem singlecut. The real deal!!!! Sweet.

Check the headstock and it's an archtop as the SE isn't and obviously the tone is the main benefit.

@PhantomXBJ Nah Jason White plays it the same way but he uses different frets on different string which sound the same as the notes hit in this vid. You could even play it on the G string only if you wanted to but this is way handier.
