Ok, now burn a candle without it in anyone's ear and let's see how much wax is in the candle then. :) I'm sure you'll feel like your brain was empty when you thought these worked. The candle has its own wax that falls down to the bottom of the candle as it burns. When it does this, it solidifies making it seem that the wax left over in the candle actually came from the ear. It doesn't. It actually puts more wax in your ear rather than removing any of it.

FYI the crumbly yellow wax is the candle wax left over, chunks of tan or brown wax is the ear goop.

It does work (and feels great) but should only be used when your ears are really clogged, or so I am told. Some earwax is a healthy secretion that your ears make to keep out infection, it is when it builds up and becomes hardened that you need to do something about it..

A few of my friends looked into it and bought a few sets. We put some in our ears the whole deal and the rest we didnt. WE GOT THE SAME RESULT EVERY TIME! In the ear and out of the ear. sorry man but they work. i did not feel any different but you can clearly see darker wax if it is done correctly. did anyone seal they end that goes in your ear. you can use water but it works better with oil. when it is done there is light wax and dark wax. the light wax is from the candle the dark is from your ear. and while you say many studies bring the specific studies up dont just say there have been "many". with that being said i can see how a lot of people would be skeptical about this.
