Davros was involved into the Time War, The Doctor saw his ship fly into the Nightmare Child, it was mentioned in an episode of the new series. It was either the Stolen Earth or Journey's End in series 4. But Dalek Khan flew into the time war and rescued him.
Makes no sense. We see the hand of omega return to the mother ship to destroy it. But the Doctor says it was the feedback from the sun going super nova that destroyed the mother ship. We see the sun explode, but the Daleks say it's the device headed towards Skaro, then going critical there.
One of the Shttiest Dalek stories has to be Day of the Daleks .. i remember watching The Panoptican, Jon Pertwee and Katy Manning saying that they only used 3 Daleks in that story .. plus if you think about it, they spared humanity and had The Controller as a human?
People of youtube, if you are planning to do a Dalek Story, then make sure that you know this ... What ever ISN'T a Dalek ALWAYS DIES .. unless it has a very good reason to stay alive!
Remembrance was brilliant but i wish that McCoy did`nt overact ( UNLIMITED RICE PUDDING!!) It wa only that bit that annoyed me. The rest of the confrontation of Davros and The Doctor
@kpuc1973 No Doctor Who was wiped out by the BBC, McCoy and the crew (post-McCoy's crappy first season) wanted to make it better than before with complex plots and a dark atmosphere which expanded the mythos.
@Wodanaz the cardboard backgrounds, poor story lines didn't help.
But fundamentally McCoy was not Dr Who. he was that funny little man who appeared on things like The Adventure Game and Jigsaw. He had too much baggage and a funny voice.
It was a miscasting, the same as it would be if Tony Robinson were to be Dr Who as that would merely be Baldrick in space.
@kpuc1973 Firstly the character is the Doctor not ''Dr. Who'' and McCoy was fine as the Doctor, a lot better than the overrated Tom Baker, who deviated too much from the original three and became the ultimate bungler in space who saved the day mostly by accident. McCoy feels like the other Doctors and brought a lot to the role. His Doctor is powerful and sometimes eerie, something that has entered ''Who' canon deeply.
@Wodanaz "...Firstly the character is the Doctor not ''Dr. Who'' ..."
Thanks for that, but given that the character is also known colloquially as "Dr Who" your pedantry is unnecessary and indeed laughable particularly given your attention to detail is not consistent:
"... actors like McCoy has funny voices..."
I suspect Dr Who may have said "...have funny voices..." but what do I know.
@Wodanaz Considering the character is known amongst the masses as Dr Who I am correct.
We have already covered the unnecessary pedantry and perhaps we should move on to someone leaving their Dr Who magazine sprawled bedroom and catching some real life.
@kpuc1973 No, you are still wrong, cretin. And I do not read Doctor WHo magazine and I often leave my room. I think it is probably you who has no real life hence you try to push your own problems onto me. Transference, if you will.
@Wodanaz So mass use and acceptance of a word or expression that you do not approve renders it wrong does it?
Given your god complex, your inability unable to accept that anyone has a different view to you and need to endlessly correct/answer back, of course I must be a mere cretin in your infallible eyes.
@kpuc1973 Well you are not wrong. Did you borrow my glasses for a while?
Actually, the same can be applied to you. This video is for fans of McCoy generally, yet you are claiming ''he is not the Doctor'' and that ''he was miscast'', to which I disagreed. Something concerning eyes and logs comes to mind.
And I do not have a god complex. I am god, end of story.
@Wodanaz Well god, thanks for taking the time to correct me with your pernickerty nonsense and for letting me know my opinion is not valid as it doesn't match yours.
perhaps you can push off now and sort out something more worthwhile, like global warming, the african famines or perhaps the banks?
@Wodanaz@kpuc1973 Wow you two must have no lives to get caught up in an Internet argument like this. As the wise man said: "Arguing through the Internet is like running in the Special Olympics: even if you win, you're still retarded."
@StephenArgonneProd No, I have a life, which is why I am only on here every few weeks or so. Arguing through the internet is merely a distraction when you are bored.
@StephenArgonneProd Thanks, however your "wise man" didn't have the wisdom to know that "retarded" is an offensive term to anyone - especially those with mental disabilities. Neither was he clever enough to realise that not everyone at the special olympics suffers from mental disabilities.
Perhaps you ought to spend your life looking for another wised man before interupting wodanaz's endless answering back and erroneous comments.
@kpuc1973 Maybe YOU ought to spend your life doing something other than arguing. What do you think all this arguing is accomplishing? Proving your supremacy? No, it's proving that both of you are idiots. You must enjoy arguing, I on the other hand don't, so this will be my last comment on the matter: get your head into real life, or I will flag all your comments as spam.
@StephenArgonneProd If you don't enjoy arguing or debate why on earth did you pop your nose into this one?
Funny how you take issue with a back and forth that's involved noone else rather than the inappropriate retard comment. You guys like PC terms i.e, Blue on Blue for shooting your allies in the back. I am having a healthy debate/disagreement/exchange of personal insults with wodanaz and it's none of your beeswax, so flag as spam to your heart's content you softy.
@Wodanaz Considering the character is known amongst the masses as Dr Who I am correct.
We have already covered the unnecessary pedantry and perhaps we should move on to someone leaving their Dr Who magazine sprawled bedroom and catching some real life.
@Wodanaz a bit oversensitive there. it was a comment about his voice and no one else's and certainly not an "..actors like..." generalism.
please do not put words into my mouth or try to twist my comment into English vs Scots and Northerners. That's not smart seeing as nothing was said about Tennant ( scot), Ecclestone ( northern) McGann/ T Baker (scousers). I don't need to go on, but fear you will...
@kpuc1973 I love the fact you think you are so humorous yet your humour is only revealing your own problems. When was the last time you saw the sun, moleman?
@kpuc1973 Then who is the Doctor? I can just as easy declare that Tom Baker isn't the Doctor because he is bad to fans, didn't take the role seriously, hates the show now and was one of the people who made it into a ridiculous, critic-hated, farce with bad (and I mean really bad!) humour. Actually, it was not humour, it was inane, stupid drivel. Tom Baker + Graham Williams = mind-rotting crap. Thankfully Graham Williams' era gave way to a great era of intelligent science fiction.
@Wodanaz you could say that and you are perfectly entitled to your opinion.
Tom Baker was my favourite doctor, probably only because I had the benefit of watching it when it was current and through the eyes of a young child. I'm sure if I were to watch it now it would have dated and the context won't work. (like most things that were good at the time).
@kpuc1973 Maybe. I didn't watch it at the time, but I did watch a lot of things from the same time and Tom Baker's era is bad for the time and his Doctor is more of a bumbling idiot. It is depressing that Pertwee was replaced by him, but luckily Davison replaced him. So...
I stand corrected, you can't be a lonely spotty boy stuck in his bedroom with his Dr Who toys. It's apparent you are in fact a woman and you will keep going on and on about the same non point forever more.
even The Doctor would have trouble sorting you out.
@kpuc1973 Actually you are right. The Doctor would have a problem sorting me out because of the simply fact that he is merely a fictional character in a Sci-Fi. I am sorry I had to ruin your belief that there is a man flying around time and space in a Police Public Call Box, righting wrongs, but it had to be done.
@Wodanaz Just a small point to make here. Looking at Tom Baker from just Graham William's era's point of view is narrow minded. The Hinchcliff/Holmes years arguably produced the best Doctor Who in it's history and future. Tom got a little out of control during william's era yes. But playing the role for as long as Baker did gave him an ego that even he himself didn't like later on. It was William's fault for not delivering and letting Tom Baker dominate the role... I love both Mccoy and Baker
@Timelord6661 I am not looking at only that era, I merely mention it the most because it was the crappiest era in the show. I hated the Holmes era as a whole, but at least the makers had some dignity. Even so, it was still farcical and childish mostly with a few exceptions. It just pales in comparison to the Davison era which was more philosophical and had better writing; and was way more even.
And you liek both, McCoy and Baker? Good for you! Each to their own.
@Wodanaz Woah, I diagree with you their, the Tom Baker/Holmes years produced some of the most iconic and most enjoyable episodes the series has produced, to just list a few:
Genesis of the Dalek- One of the most iconic stories in Doctor Who's history, introducing both Davros and the first Daleks.
Terror of the Zygon- Arguabley one of the most popular monster fans want to return, In spite of only doing one story.
Pyramids of Mars- The most powerful villian to feature in any who story...
@Timelord6661 I think I have mentioned that 'Seeds of Doom' - great story - and 'Deadly Assassin' were good. But a few good o OK stories do not make the whole era a strong point. Even 'The Deadly Assassin' had a lot of silliness in it such as the facelift line. Anyway none of Tom Baker's seasons were that strong when taken as a whole, unlike Davison's, which were all pretty even and none were really, really bad. The weakest Davison story may have been 'Warriors of The Deep',
I disagree, because the list I gave was a very brief one, I see the the same way you do with the hinchcliff era (I did list a majority), the weakest one in that era was probably Revenge of the Cybermen (it felt like a 60's cyber story rather than a 70's episode) I enjoyed every Baker/Holmes Episode, the direction was spot on for me. The Davison stuff is decent but lacks the extraordinary feel the stories in Holmes's era had. And why can't Doctor Who be silly at times? as long as it...
@Timelord6661 Each to there own of course. And I agree that 'Revenge of The Cybermen' was weak, though I think the sixties stories were a lot stronger than that. I hated the majorit o the Holmes episodes because I hated the farce that was injected into the show. I didn't think it should have been a comedy like it was. I did like a few of the stories though.
The Revenge of the Cybermen story did seem very 60's to me (structurally), i'm not saying it lacked strength (I loved the 60's) the problem with it was it felt out of place with the rest of the stories the 60's were over at this time and the rest of the stories had a completely different feel too them. Fair enough, but remember in the 70's Doctor Who was budget stretched meaning it was a case of getting the job done on what was given. as oppose to being creative....
@Timelord6661 I think the Davison era, though the Doctor is not my ultimate favourite (his nobility and heroism was maybe greater than the other Doctors), had the greatest feel and writing of the show. None of the stories were very bad and many had a ''filmic'' quality too them, especially in the first season. The late Baker era was good too for the same reason as it gave us beautiful cultures like Traken, and greater writing. If his whole run was like that, i would have liked Baker more.
@SynthWho I read they managed to abandon their homeworld. If not though, given the daleks became a major universal power, it is unlikely any thals would remain on skaro.
Hmmm... If you closely when the imperial dalek mothership is about to explode, you can actually see a small dot (probably the escape pod) leaving the ship.
"Unlimited rice pudding!" That's one of my favorite Doctor Who lines. Along with "And over there is a chair with a panda on it." and "What a wonderful butler, he's so violent."
hmmm the doctor who top trumps game was rubbish methinks, but i thought what if they made a game a bit like star wars battlefront yet set in the dctor who world it would kick ass
i think he imperials joined with the renergades. the emperor from series 1 was the same one as in evil of the daleks, or so i heard. but the renergades were the originals, so they would have destroyed davros. maybe a deal was done to keep the daleks alive and davros was part of that deal.
True but this isn't how the Daleks were wiped out at all. The Doctor Who movie shows Skaro and the Daleks in one piece. The time war took place during the 8th Doctor life which makes the time war part of the old series.
I would love to see David Tennant do a seen like this. I see a bit of the tenth in the seventh or vice-versa. The tenth's death stare would be perfect, though the last line would be different I imagine.
yes - thats what created the emperor and then dvaors kinda of had to make his own race again
or
no- its was the old emperor dalek from ages ago and must have allainced with davros imperial dalekd made a uniformity of daleks and the did taht big battle but eh escaped ,. davros the wiley fox
That's because Sylvester McCoy is Scottish and unlike Russell T. Davies, John Nathan-Turner wasn't concerned about keeping the Doctor's accent English sounding.
this was fab. just think, greatest show in the galaxy, rememberance, silver nemises, fenric, survival. these are some great stories. us fans who joined in the late 80s know mccoy was the best Doctor.
why did Davros choosed to be an insane scientist. Did he wake up one day and said too himself "i gonna destroy every creature that his better looking than me! oh wait..."
For being a one-armed blind cripple Davros has a very strong confident.(i know that he sees through is blue eye in his forehead but its cybernetic so he is actully blind isn't he?)
Davros is naturally blind but he can artificially see through his blue eye on his forehead. And, anyway sorry to correct you but Davros actually has two arms but his left arm is just constantly broken and so are his legs. So he is not a one-armed cripple.
He 'danced and weaved' or something and it was because he somehow broke into the time lock he was able to find Davros who then went onto create another race of Daleks (from his own flesh)...now, since this has happened, I reckon that the Time War will be set at zero and the Daleks will have Skaro back, the Time lords will all be resurrected and then...(con'd on page 94)
I meant after remembrance of the daleks (classic series) and before the time war (new series) how did davros rebuilt the dalek race to be able to be an equal force to the timelords
There are two sequels to Remembrance which contradict each other a bit. The novel "War of the Daleks" reveals that the leader of Davros' enemies was actually the Dalek Prime, who had tricked the Doctor into tricking Davros into blowing up a decoy planet. The Prime survived with loads of Daleks.
The audio drama "Terror Firma" reveals that Davros built a new race of Daleks on Earth sometime in the future. At the end, his mind was dominated by a Dalek personality and he left Earth with the Daleks.
Not Tom Baker, Sylvester McCoy...I hope he's dead...Tom Baker is a brilliant actor, especially as the corrupt and misguided priest in Life & Loves of a She Devil...and his voice is equally well-known...
Davros was involved into the Time War, The Doctor saw his ship fly into the Nightmare Child, it was mentioned in an episode of the new series. It was either the Stolen Earth or Journey's End in series 4. But Dalek Khan flew into the time war and rescued him.

Wodanaz 1 year ago
@Wodanaz
Timelord6661 1 year ago
@Timelord6661 I think the Davison era, though the Doctor is not my ultimate favourite (his nobility and heroism was maybe greater than the other Doctors), had the greatest feel and writing of the show. None of the stories were very bad and many had a ''filmic'' quality too them, especially in the first season. The late Baker era was good too for the same reason as it gave us beautiful cultures like Traken, and greater writing. If his whole run was like that, i would have liked Baker more.

I never considered this before but what about all the Thals? Surely they would have all been destroyed? Thats bad :(
SynthWho 1 year ago
@SynthWho I read they managed to abandon their homeworld. If not though, given the daleks became a major universal power, it is unlikely any thals would remain on skaro.
Symos 1 year ago
I just wish they did not use Davros so much after Genesis.....the Daleks were given second thoughts, made into mindless drones.
TheCastellan 1 year ago
Hmmm... If you closely when the imperial dalek mothership is about to explode, you can actually see a small dot (probably the escape pod) leaving the ship.

"Unlimited rice pudding!" That's one of my favorite Doctor Who lines. Along with "And over there is a chair with a panda on it." and "What a wonderful butler, he's so violent."

i think he imperials joined with the renergades. the emperor from series 1 was the same one as in evil of the daleks, or so i heard. but the renergades were the originals, so they would have destroyed davros. maybe a deal was done to keep the daleks alive and davros was part of that deal.

True but this isn't how the Daleks were wiped out at all. The Doctor Who movie shows Skaro and the Daleks in one piece. The time war took place during the 8th Doctor life which makes the time war part of the old series.
jsutton0010 2 years ago
I would love to see David Tennant do a seen like this. I see a bit of the tenth in the seventh or vice-versa. The tenth's death stare would be perfect, though the last line would be different I imagine.
"I have pitty for you davros... It hasn't been"
pleasant woudl be more like.

why did Davros choosed to be an insane scientist. Did he wake up one day and said too himself "i gonna destroy every creature that his better looking than me! oh wait..."
fraur001 3 years ago 5
For being a one-armed blind cripple Davros has a very strong confident.(i know that he sees through is blue eye in his forehead but its cybernetic so he is actully blind isn't he?)
fraur001 3 years ago
Davros is naturally blind but he can artificially see through his blue eye on his forehead. And, anyway sorry to correct you but Davros actually has two arms but his left arm is just constantly broken and so are his legs. So he is not a one-armed cripple.

Sylvester mccoy was awesome!!!! and so is this episode

answering the episode description, davros used an escape pod look at the little thing moving away from the ship as it explodes :)

how did davros rebuilt the dalek race that wasn't explained in the new series
pedro27mumble 3 years ago
nor how dalek caan was able to get davros and the dalek supreme, out of the time war while he was insane
likbeaX 3 years ago
the dalek supreme was presumably created by davros after caan rescued him, and we find out the daleks turned on him (again)
AlexanderT21 3 years ago
Those Daleks are so untrustworthy!
Bez1960 3 years ago 4
He 'danced and weaved' or something and it was because he somehow broke into the time lock he was able to find Davros who then went onto create another race of Daleks (from his own flesh)...now, since this has happened, I reckon that the Time War will be set at zero and the Daleks will have Skaro back, the Time lords will all be resurrected and then...(con'd on page 94)
Bez1960 3 years ago
they did explain it he created the daleks by using his own cell tissue (from his chest mainly)
AlexanderT21 3 years ago
I meant after remembrance of the daleks (classic series) and before the time war (new series) how did davros rebuilt the dalek race to be able to be an equal force to the timelords
pedro27mumble 2 years ago
There are two sequels to Remembrance which contradict each other a bit. The novel "War of the Daleks" reveals that the leader of Davros' enemies was actually the Dalek Prime, who had tricked the Doctor into tricking Davros into blowing up a decoy planet. The Prime survived with loads of Daleks.
The audio drama "Terror Firma" reveals that Davros built a new race of Daleks on Earth sometime in the future. At the end, his mind was dominated by a Dalek personality and he left Earth with the Daleks.
Mathiastro 2 years ago
Another plot idea would be that the civil war still existed even after the Remembrance of the Daleks. Not that plausible, but still.
