  • the fact that the cat at least has a roof to live under should be enough to make people happy.....

  • wow, poor kitty, I suppose he's learned that from his owner, he's so lonely! =S You can see when a cat doesnt have many cats to hangout with, and I'm sure Ligeti doesnt make you very popular either... lawl

  • @NevinJarek

...and just what makes you think me or my cat are lonely?... She now lives in a big house, full of nature and other cats to harass her...

  • @bigfootpegrande I know cats well enough, and when they play with themselves or humans like that it usually means they dont have other cats with whom to play, and music is an affective construct, as socially charged as smiling, but I never thought of the probability that your ambient isnt a cultural desert... anyways, salute your kitty on my behalf.

  • Gostei!!! Da música do Ligeti e performance artistística do gatinho!

  • Next time play him some Captain Beefheart

  • @chubbylegend

...well, she certainly heard loads of Zappa...

  • Very very imaginative sweet kitty:))))

  • I dont think it is the effect of Ligeti... the cat's brain is not that much complicated yet...maybe after 10000000 years living with human I will agree :D but the thing is: Why are you playing ligeti for your cat? She wil be brain damaging...haha!

  • bravo

  • he looks EXACTLY like my kitten!

  • This is like the third video of cats in a week that ive seen that has a replica of my cat in it XD

  • lol awesome.

  • SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE

  • Too funny! I see the influence of Isadora Duncan and Doris Humphrey! Your cat is a choreographic genius! And cute as a button, too!

  • It's OBVIOUS that your cat grasps the intrinsic value of Ligeti's musical vision, and expresses that understanding through the complexities of well-conceived and executed interpretive dance. Okay, all glibness aside, this is fantastic. I'm traveling, and thus, far away from my cat, so seeing this has made me feel a bit less homesick. I love this video.

  • this is my cat kitty!

  • hahahahahahaaaaa!!!!!! you´r so ignorant!!! :D

  • im not ignorant cause i hate dissonance

  • in that case you must hate Bach, Haendel, Corelli, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Wagner, Prokofiev, etc. All of them use plenty of dissonances. Don´t believe me? Listen Mozart´s string quartet "Dissonance" :)

  • You might be right about your statement.

but There is A LOT more going on in this music besides dissonance and a lot more elements that people can "not like". So if all you hear when you listen to this is dissonance, THEN you are ignorant.

  • Dissonance is an integral part of all music. Ligeti did not just write this piece for the dissonance, he was using compositional techniques that happened to produce those notes. What you said was ignorant because you aren't listening past the discords.

  • kitty is so cute

  • beautiful!!!!

Next time try to catch him reading Schopenhauer! :)

  • OMG so cute. i want a cat but my mom said everyone here is allergic to them, and plus she hates animals. it really sucks.

  • They are so very serious about chasing that tail, aren't they? But there's always time for a little shoulder grooming. Got to keep looking good even when fighting the Snake Tail.

  • thats sooooooooooooooooooo cute

  • cute kitty--ugly music :)

  • thats a long tail...funny!

  • that kittys at the stage where its tail and its body are disproportioned... too cute.

  • cuute! ...but dont u think itd realize it is its tail once it hurts to bite? :)

  • haha, awesome.

  • some guys can entertain themselves like this for hours.

  • haha that awesome

  • wish i was amused so easily! Cant believe it still didnt work it out even after biting it numerous times! Silly kitty indeed!

  • Haha what a silly kitty. :D

  • thats one adorable cat

  • This cat is my hero....what else could one want? A cute cat that like contemporary music...awesome.

  • the cat is on crack!

  • i want a cat

    hehe

  • CUTE

  • While personally, I instinctually feel that Debussy or Ravel might have better provided a more solid sense of other-worldlyness suggested by the cat's emulation of a dog confused by the actions of its own tail, one cannot help but note the underlying feral instincts brought to the forefront of this video by its producer's subtle use of Ligeti's catchy tunes. Daring and delightful, this is a must see for fans of Kafka and Espinosa.

  • I could not agree more.

  • fibermaven, your gibberish is so...provocative. You are definately a maven when it comes to trying too hard to sound smart.

  • And your point is???

  • I don't know if it was the intention but you made me LOL so hard it was painful

  • fibermaven, please come and give a view on my video entitled 'Stockhausen on 9/11'. It's about modern paths in music since the new viennese school.

  • That is really, really cute :)
