It's OBVIOUS that your cat grasps the intrinsic value of Ligeti's musical vision, and expresses that understanding through the complexities of well-conceived and executed interpretive dance. but There is A LOT more going on in this music besides dissonance and a lot more elements that people can "not like". So if all you hear when you listen to this is dissonance, THEN you are ignorant.

Dissonance is an integral part of all music. Ligeti did not just write this piece for the dissonance, he was using compositional techniques that happened to produce those notes. What you said was ignorant because you aren't listening past the discords.
