Yeah I have a virgin mobile restore and none of this works on that phone, you can see the file just fine but there is no option to set it as a ringtone, and if you send it via email the email shows up but again no option to download or set as ringtone

Good vid. Tried it, and that dog's not hunting! Changed the .mp3 to .3g2 and when I play the .3g2, the "file info" still says .MP3. On my SD, but won't let me nothing to select "it" as a RT, and does not show up in other media when I go to set a RT. BTW, got a V-M Rumor Touch and only about 2 months old. maybe they did something in the newer phones to disable this work-a-round and wants the $2.50 PER for themselves.

If you send it by email you can set it as incoming calls or messaging. And instead of downloading that crap to shorten songs you can just download them from a website. Now doesn't that sound more simple?

umm i would do this but A. my phone doest take micro sd it has internal space but i could work with that the real prob is B. When i plug in my usb cord into my virgin mobile phone nothing pops up and when i go to computer and click the removable disks it says theres nothing in there. I have the kyocera loft and i can get ringtones as i have opera mini 5 but this is so much easier if it would work

@InfernoFighterPrise nah sorry. thats the only way to get the ringtone to register as a text ringtone. have you tried shortening the file? if you use yahoo it'll tell you how much smaller you'll have to make the file to send it
