@Pinin500 Yeah I completely agree. I thought I enjoyed driving my '84 Porsche 944, until I took my dad's '67 GTV out for a spin. The Alfa is just so much more....VISCERAL!
If you mean pre-FIAT I'm with you - glorious poor man's exotics.
But cars like the 159?... no interest whatsoever.
I look forward with hope, to seeing what comes out of collaboration with Jaguar on a proper RWD platform. Even if it doesn't have the gearbox where it belongs - in the rear!
yea man that is what i meant had so many chances to swap my alfettas or 1750 gtv for 156s and 164s but i just couldnt do it even if theres a 3.0l v6 under the bonnet
yea i no man i could still get a 3.0l original gtv but would cost to much in shipping im from south africa and still know alot of people there who would help out
I love this! The Group 2 Alfetta GT Rally is the coolest car that ever slung its tail around a curve. I want it. I need to drive it. I'm jealous of whoever has it.

Once youve owned an Alfa romeo nothing else comes close, not the fastest cars
or the best handling but for carisma and the feeling when piloting one they are
unbeatable...forza Italia

In years to come the Alfetta will be a classic. The 164, 156 etc will be forgotten just like old Camrys.
You can salvage their V6 for your Alfetta, to recreate a 3.0 replica!
Some good things did come out of South Africa in the dark days...

Sell your house, your mother, whatever it takes!
That car is the Holy Grail to me... and RHD too.
My brother has dreams to recreate a GTV V8 in Jamaica (we have a friend with a rusted out Montreal), but the 3.0 is the better car.

mhhhh wonder how much i would get if i sold my mother lol

My brother has a 1977 GTV with 3.0, LSD box and isostatic linkage (75 propshaft cut and balanced with BMW couplings).
Not the real thing, but very nice and far prettier than the later V6 body to my eye!
Only a slight indentation in the body was necessary to clear the linkage. Think about it.
