This is among my top favourite movies of the year - one of a very few comedies. Although I have to say Wahlberg wasn`t as funny as he was in The Departed - but then he totally stole that movie under the noses of DiCaprio, Damon, Nicholson, Baldwin & Sheen - and Vera Farmiga. In a fair world he would have gotten an Oscar for that one. His best performance to date, in my opinion.

Imo it was a shit movie. It had a few funny moments, but a lot of the writing was just embarrassing and bad, and full of clichees. Whalberg had like no personality, and his acting was terrible. The majority of the jokes seemed like juvenile attempts to copy ealier successful Will Ferrell movies. That being said, it seemed like Will Ferrel did the best he could with the material.

Here's another cast I could see in this film: Mike Myers in Will Ferrell's role, Vince Vaughn in Mark Whalberg's role, Dustin Hoffman in Michael Keaton's role, Ricky Gervais in Steve Coogan's role, comedian Sinbad in Sam Jackson's role and Will Smith in Dwayne Johnson's role. Don't get me wrong, I have no complaints about the jobs any of the actors did in this film, I just saying that's another way they could've cast this film.

OMG, this was such an awesome movie. I was dying to see this for a second time, but i couldn't. I think my favorite part was when when the best cops (played by the Rock and Samual L Jackson) jumped off the roof to try and catch the bad guys, but they wind up dying instead. That was so unexpected, it was hilarious. This is a very tempting movie to buy on DVD.
