To italstallion06 i don't really think American soccer should really conform into all of the European way, yes it should see that as a model and try to imitate how soccer is played around the world. But at the same time it should be an American(canadian) sporting system and what it has now is similar to other major sports in American, the NFL,MLB,NBA,NHL and ect. So i think the system is okay

I really think the league needs a european organization to it scrap the 2 conference and playoff format, one table, team with the most points is the champion, and have every team compete in a tournament and call it, American Cup or something like that, similar to the Premiership/FA cup in England this way more emphasis is on regular season games, also why not make the USL (which is like north america's tier 2 league) liek an MLS 2nd division with top teams being promoted to MLS. just my opinion

Did anyone saw the inaugural match between Sounders FC and Red Bulls New York?

Correct me if I'm wrong but if football (or as Americans call it soccer) is so bad in the US. Explain this match for me and the ECS (Emerald City Supporters) who actually has a band that marches people to the match.

Sounders FC have sold out the 2 bottom bowls of Qwest Field for the season. The one shown during that recent match.

I don't think football in the US is as bad as some people say.

@constifuck : US national team is not so bad, otherwise they does not qualify regularly for the world cup, but their major default is to be sometimes too naive during game Soccer is a game who require technics, but also instinct and trick (and luck ;))

i still dont see what the worlds issue is with us soccer. we used to be pretty rough around the edges, but we've improved a lot. the national team isnt THAT bad. i hope the us wins the world cup some day to FINALLY prove that we arent the terrible soccer country we're portrayted to be. (it might be a while still though, haha)

i think the right team won the cup this year. ccrew played as a team and won as a team. im a die hard dynamo fan, but i can appreciate a good run... and crew had an almost perfect run.. congrats crew fans. enjoy it because dynamo will be back in the playoffs next year and will be out for blood... preferably some redbull blood.. lucky bastards!!!

ha ha ha. what? you're crying because the red bulls won 3-0? soccer is not an easy sport to play. it's hard to maintain a repeated mind frame to win, so your ''dynamo'' got lucky the past two mls finals. the crew would have certainly beaten the ''dynamo'' by a score of 2-0 0r 3-1, had they made it. stop calling the ''red bulls'' lucky bastards!
