Masyadong Maraming salita-salita sa bulok na politika. Think & Act Globally!
We have to start with the inequitable distribution of wealth. And also, poor tax collection on the part of gov't. Corruption has eroded the basic foundation of our principles. President Noy has to look and untangle everything and fix it fast. My dear fellow Filipinos, We have to support the gov't., It may not be the best but President Noy at the very least is honest and down to earth.
President Noynoy Aquino should do something to make sure the poor are represented in the government. The country is not investing to help the poor such as providing them health services written in the RH Bill they still have to pass. The government can ignore the Catholic church stance on that bill if they are determined to reduce the rapid population growth and poverty. The problem is the allocation of budget which mostly is being used to fund the government's own priorities and benefits.
Titi power family me bhusdi ne buba tee he ne hindi na landa kutriyo nee bhusdi me ghusedwa tee he...Dapat rin tulungan mo silang tulungan ang mga sarili nila.
Hay, ewan ko ba, lolz, i love to watch videos about Pinas, specially if will be seen in the point of views of non-Filipinos. It give us a different prospective of looking things, kasi we sometime see things either too negative or too positive, nawa-wala MINSAN ang objectivity... And yes, you''re super correct!
@manutdr8 Heh. It's only been about 2 months since he's been in office. You say we need a strong government. Uhm, last time i checked, Noynoy was reeling in $1 billion. Yeah, 1 billion dollars not pesos. That's way more than Gloria has done. You talk big but you need to be updated and I may be stupider than you but I have a lot of common sense.
@maIaystud22 in the legislative department yes, but we can't justify or make a conclusion yet at this point he haven't reached his' first 100 days or have seen the end of his' term, as for progress we will see signs in a year or two, but looking at an economic forecast it appears this country has a higher growth rate than its neighbors like thailand and malaysia for the past 2 years already, give us 5-10 years it will catch up with top SE Asia nations, as long no one will screw it up
@maIaystud22 i disagree, one the last election they followed their hearts due to he passing of fmr. president aquino and they saw abnoynoy who is not even interested to run for office but they still pushed him but he does have a clean record very clean record because he did NOT do anything for 12 years in the legislative branch, it happened before in the 80's when ninoy was killed and his' wife got elected to due emotions, what is needed is that filipinos should THINK and not be emotional
@762459 Nonetheless, the aftermath of the hostage taking of August 23, 2010 showed us that the RP, in it's present state is doomed. It was the perfect chance to bring change and clean the mess up. Instead, the wrong guy's were held responsible. But not mayor Lim, who ordered to arrest the guy's brother or the people managing the budget of the SWATs training or equipment. The EU & China propose that no one should travel to the Philippines & we don't even care. The PRC is Phils. #1 investor
@GaolisVideoLog It's not yet "doomed" there can still be a chance to fix things. btw, if they just called in the PNP-SAF who are on the scene things have a different ending.
@762459 I pray you're right. Alam mo, Rizal wrote 100 years ago, that our country is sick. So much time has passed by, but the disease described in Noli me Tangere & El Filibus Terismo, unfolded in La Solidaridad and so on, is still there. And even got worse. I wish we could just help our people. But I fear that, w/o the budget & w/o to these dynasties, we'll end up like Cambodia under Pol Pot or Africa. I wish we could just shake our people awake like the Katipunan back then.
@GaolisVideoLog I'm doing my part, instead of supporting the brain drain we are having in this country and getting the hell out of here. I'd rather stay and give jobs to our fellow countrymen so that they will not have to leave their families and share an entrepreneurial ideals to every filipino and destroy the laborer mentality. WE still have time to change our course and will not end up in a point of no return. I do believe that filipinos have the skills to do it, but we lack role models.
@762459 We have the skills. What we lack is a leader. Everyone is working so hard, but w/o a gov. giving directions & luring intl. investors to our country, or getting our country on intl. news (not the news we normally get, positive, promising news), we won't get anywhere. And unfortunately, the poorer & less educated we are, the better the life of the rich becomes. We're stuck in a medieval, aristocracy. We need to get out of that.
@maIaystud22 this is one of the few times i can agree with you, Aquino? what a joke he's just voted for his' lineage and not his accomplishments 2 words to describe him.........overrated and retarded.
@lenard859 We have the money system of the USA. We have their educational system as well, and economic system and even an imitation of the U.S. legislative system. Furthermore, all natural resources of the Philippines belong to the USA & US GIs can't be held responsible for crimes commited in the RP. What more US do you want? In return, for this the US gave us $ 100,000 after Undoy. Japan gave 50 mil.. Germany 33 mil. I think we chose the wrong friend & idol.
DAMN IT WERE NOT POOR!!!!!!!!!! WERE SECOND WORLD NATION BY 2005!!!!!!!! DAMN IT!!!!!!!! LOOK AT OUR INFRASTRUCTURE!!!!!!!!! LOOK AT THE NEW JOBS WE HAVE FOR THE PEOPLE IT MAYBE NOT MUCH BUT AT LEAST WE HAVE WINDOWS FOR THE PEOPLE WE ARE NOT POOR!!!!!!!!!
@manutdr8 No, we don't. Look at our infrastructure now. Look at our fiscal policy starting with Erap's presidency. Look at our foreign, economic partners. Look at why the UN sanctioned us last year. Look at what the EU & the PRC say about our country. Look at how the USA ignored us during Ondoy. Look at the 12 mil. OFWs& everyone wanting to leave the country. Look at Tondo with a 90% unemployment rate. Look at the fact that we're the only country in Asia that has to import food. Just look at us.
@GaolisVideoLog you know why that happens, because we always ignore outside help. Honestly do you really think a guy whos the son of ninoy will change the country? no. We need a leader who can accept the past, learn from it then change our future with sense. Gloria would've been good, if it werent for her stupid husband and son. Just because she did this and that. Oh please come on the US politicians has done far worse things then her, do ur research. We have to stop complaining,
@manutdr8 No, I don't like the current president. He only got elected because he kept on saying his mom just died and his father got killed. I mean, I'm very sorry for him, but what does that have to do with his agenda. I noticed that those countries doing well spend a large amount of money into educating children in subjects as world history, geography, social studies and politics. All these have to do with how to create taxes, overcome problems and so on. We should do that too.
LAHAT NANGANGANAK at UUPO LANG SA KANTO MAGHAPON.....WALANG GUSTONG MAGTANIM NG PALAY. NAGHIHINTAY LANG NG DONASYON at GUSTO PA NILA ANG IBA ANG MAG-PAPA-UNLAD NG KANILANG BUHAY.
WALA RIN KAYONG KARAPATAN MANGANAK at MAGPARAMI. AT KUNG GUSTO NINYONG MAMATAY SA GUTOM.....KAYO NALANG! MANGANGANAK LANG KAYO PARA LANG PAGMALUPITAN! MGA DEMONYO KAYO.....MGA SATAN! WALANG BUDHI GANID SA LAMAN!
@spacej0ckey Teka wala yung coment mo dito..hehe so dito nalang
@chunker6455 When I first came to Germany I was amazed at how much Germans knew about the Philippins, economically, historically, politically. But not just the RP, but so many other countries as well. Later I found out why. In school & college Germans have sociology, history & politics classes starting in Gr. 5. By the time they're 20 they're politically literate. This is very diff. from the RP or the US. Further, all schools & uni are public & free of charge; you have incredibly educated masses
Hey Guys! whats the different the poor lining up in Washinton capital and the people under the bridge and the tunnel heat in New York! So at least we didn't leave under the bridges! In US Itataboy kayo nang pulis pag malamig mamatay kayo! at least yung squater natin disente pa rin! Now Who talking!!
the problem isnt the dysnaties themselves but the fact that those within the dynasty family are more educated then most of the entire country. the only solution is to educate the masses.
Politicians whether dynastic or any color or brand you name it its all the same in principle. In a democracy, we choose leaders to be the TEMPORARY CARETAKERS of our welfare. My question is: Do you really believe that the people you don't know and don't know you will take care of you? It is obvious that the idea of democracy itself is a failure and the result.. devastating to progress of humanity.
i dont know why are we making this so complicated...cant we just leave the land raise cattle and live life....haayyyyyy.,..IGNORANCE CAN BE A SAD THING......IM FROM DAVAO..PROUD TO BE PINOY ...HOW BOUT THE OTHERS.???
that is Philippine politics for you the one who are long time in politics are being succeeded by their predecessors and not giving those who are truly worthy of that position a chance to serve the country out of NATIONAL INTEREST.
this is a natural process.. the poor with no education n ignorant will multiply like flies.. thats the trend.. the rich n educated will not multiply as much..
@anjojune What education? The only education there is learning english. It's always english. No more tagalog. Why don't they just demolish tagalog altogether? Our national hero's words didn't reach the people. We don't even say "maligayang kaarawan" anymore. It's "happy birthday". Guess what, you know why I'm speaking english? It's because I'm from Canada. I'm ashamed of not knowing my own language. I'm ashamed we don't even know how to say "hello" in our own language. It's sad. It really is...
AKO MAGALING MAG-TAGALOG, CEBUANO. LEYTENIO, ZAMBOANGENYO, GERMAN at english. PERO GUSTONG-GUSTO KO ANG WIKANG TAGALOG.....DAHIL ITO ANG WIKA NA MAY KALULUWA. NARARAMDAMAN AT TUMATALAB.
@mrBullsheet ......TAMA KA!
like what benigno aquino "noynoy" said, they have the power to help and it feels like that we have duty to do something about our economy, well of course they have money and their famous because of what their clan did for the country, but if your going to use that money and power to do something bad it obviously will not help our country. filipino has this saying that "as time passes by rich will become even more richer and poor will become even more poorer."
philippine politics is not a business. connections bring fortune in the family but that is not " clean" politics. corruption is the danger of dynasties and is a truism that cannot be negated.t if structurers of goverment (constitution, political branches laws etc) are able to guard good governance, political dynasty drops to a political term. failure of a country's economy based on where leaders are from is wrong. it is failure run structures of good leadership that is wanting..
the emergencee of political dynasty is a collective term. it is not by choice that one follows the tradition of politicians in the family. they have access to good education arm with a strong support and means to fund the campaign.zubiri is right, those that follow family line politics are better honed by their predecessors. electorate look at something that have been tried and tested. same thing going on now with the aquinos. people cLAMOR FOR THEIR OFFSPRINGS to a higher position.
It is essential to form independent agencies funded by the public to accomplish a positive results in investigating the corruptions committed by government officials
The priority now is for the country to elect a strong leader next year, brave enough to remove even members of his own political party who are guilty of abusing their authorities to show he/she is committed in abolishing a dysfunctional political system that has projected the nation's long negative impression in the world.
The widespread corruption dominated by political dynasty has kept the country from achieving an accelerated economic progress compare to its neighboring Asian nations.
These courts and institutions that were established supposedly to control corruption is not effective due to all of it's chairman and presiding judges are appointed by the president.
to correct all these problems, dapat mhit ang bansa ng asteroid or comet then patay ang karamihan sa isang saglit...the old fashioned church, the corrupt politicians, the ignorant n uneducated .. some will survive n naybe the awakening will led them to redevelop the country
Its about money, if you are rich any body can buy their vote and become a president,, After they become what they want, forget about those people who take their money.Thats the kind of politic they have there..You are wasting your time trying to find out how it work, its about baying votes. That simple...I tried to till my family every election don't take the money, but bcuz they are very poor, they don't have any choice but take the money..Very corrupt!!!!!
My four siblings and I are by far wealthy here in America. My two younger siblings live with meager means due to illness and the current recession, and I must help them. God knows we can use the family inheritance due to my own family's plight. Thanks for exposing the corruption there in the Philippines! Does anyone have a suggestion how I can find a solution regarding my dilemma?
I'm a Filipino American and my father passed away in '03 while visiting relatives in Manila & trying to obtain his share of his family inheritance from my aunt, his older sister who's hoarding my rightful inheritance in Manila due to her corrupt & greedy agendas. Her husband, my uncle was a former Governor of Masbate long time ago. I hope to obtain my rightful inheritance, God willing!
If I ever see my father's inheritance due to the fact I live in the U.S., I will use it to give back to the poor Filipino people. I have so much compassion for them for such a long time now. The govt. corruption in the Philippines is SICKENING!
I thought that if decent people came along it would change things, but experience has shown that when bad people are in power they don't let decent ones anywhere near them."
The new political system of the government that substituted Batasang Pambansa, a parliamentary system under Marcos, gave rise to NEPOTISM in the new bicameral Congress. In PB, members in the Congress was elected by different provinces with their component cities, highly urbanized cities and districts of Metro Manila, appointed representatives from various sectors such as the youth, agricultural and industrial labor sectors.
every politician should be like manny Pacman a gracious and God fearing person even though he never finished elementary,we have politicians who very well educated and the results are always the same>>Manny for president>
oh God.
why dont this abusayaf fools kill corrupt leaders instead of innocent people . i just dont get it ... they keep killing the wrong people thats why they dont get any result . what an idiots
these people in governement are the real criminals and thieves.they all should be lined up against the wall and face the FIRING SQUAD!! the Philippines is ripe for a TRUE REVOLUTION OF THE MASSES!! LONG LIVE THE STRUGGLE OF THE FILIPINO PEOPLE. LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION!!
so u mean.... the Filipino people shall have another people power?
-i tink too much people people makes our economy very unstable..look what happened on Post Marcos n Post Estrada era... nag depreciate at humina p rin economiya....
-a better solution for me if.... a better transparency in the government. that means having more strict policies in fighting corruption rather than just merely changing our political system...
ours is a government run by shameless people. they are the true parasitesbcoz they feed on all peoples ignoance, poverty and helplessness. they ahve pork barrel fund that they pocket for themselves. on their way to congress veryday they pass by the slums of the city where people live in squalid conditions like rats.and yet all they do is political posturing, and countless corruption scandals . they enter politics not to serve the people but to protect their interests and to ennrich themselves.
@MAKHMOUDTAMOD The real shame in our country is us the people. Because we complain about these people, but as soon elections come, we re-elect them. And when people do get elected that want to do something against the situation, we punish them by not re-electing them. WE, the Filipino people, are IDIOTS.
part 4. sorry i didn't have time to edit my part 3 comments. i was using timed computer and i was running out time, that's why my sentences kind of make u dizzy. now i am back on track. i am sure there r many lands around metro manila that r not being use into productive means. yes farms can be good source of income for the poor displaced squater people. if the gov't can get an idea of this,
vegetables will become plentiful and cheap and will create jobs for the poor.
part 3. they can build project houses 15-20 miles away from downtown metropolis. if the can gov't this kind of plan, they can eliminate all the squaters
areas and manila will look a lot better and
can add more shopping stores and commercial building so can create more jobs for the poeple. the sorrounding areas of manila that are being used can also be made in farms for produce to harvest.
part 2. the gov't must also give small of plot of garden to each and every displaced family, so that each family has their own vegetables plot to harvest to while waiting for the vegetables to grow on the big farm. then they can
demolish all the squater areas where houses were standing. those squater lands could be built into shopping stores and commercial buildings. the project houses should have their own elementary & high schools and public parks and playgrounds. they can build project ..
if the gov't only know how to utilize these poor people they can give them better living and jobs. example if the gov't is willing to relocate these squaters and make project houses 4 the displaced.
then, d the gov't will allocate hectars of farmland for the displaced squaters to plant on.
d farm is owned by gov't, when harvest time, d gov't will sell the produce and half
of profit will be distributed to all the farm workers that had been displaced. the gov't must also give small...part 1
i let u know something having kids more than 4 for the next 20 yrs ur 4 kids will married and 4 having kids 4x4 16 kids and grand parents will die after 20 yrs and ur 16 kids bcome parent will having 4 x16= 64 after 20 yrs this 16x64=1024 after 20 yrs 20% will died accdint, sick or old. this might calculated after 40 yrs our number will much more double!!!!
Our officials play around with our laws. They bend, overlook and downright ignore them depending on their whims, desires and loyalties.
Also, only the rich win the elections because the masses expect those running campaigns to stand in as the social welfare department. Lacking any functioning welfare program, the poor look for hand-outs and sell their votes. In a lot of cases, the rich pols really help individuals but they eventually get back all this money when they seat in office.
Having a great deal of familiarity of the Philippines I have to say your situation is not so different from ours here in the USA. It is not always the person with the best ideas that win elections. It is the best financed, the most able to leverage current events to their advantage, and those who have the backing of the "establishment". Without these 3 essentials, there is no way a no name lawyer from Chicago rises to the Presidency without authoring one law or even co-sponsoring one.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a hater of President Obama. I just fail to see how he rose to power without any experience in creating legislation, and business management, or any military experience whatsoever. He was basically ushered into office by some very bad circumstances which cast a terrible light on the incumbent party, overwhelming praise from the elite media establishment, and the backing of some powerful political names. Specifically, he was endorsed by the KENNEDY Dynasty.
The campaign process won't change even with campaign finance reform because there is not enough transparency and accountability out there. Will there be any prosecution of those going out of bounds? Will there even be the desire to go after these untouchable dynasties? Who will dare testify against them when it would be tantamount to suicide? Just recently, the chief prosecutor of Iloilo city "did not know" about the circular not to release any drug pushers until their cases are reviewed.
Brillantes does not make sense. The idea that the Filipino people is represented by only a few rich and powerful families is deplorable. One does not even have to consider whether or not there are family dynasties that are doing a good job. This is the wrong way of doing things. In the short term, it may be impossible to change the process but there should be an acknowledgement that something has to change. With UP profs thinking like this, there is no hope for change.
too much freedom and democracy, corrupt breaking their own laws. Lazy just waiting 4 the sunset and sunrise everyday. democratic country w/ so much human rights violation. Eating dogs, Treating prison like a dog, Bribes policeman. Too many relegion..unsolved crimes, kidnapping, rape, robbery, illegal logging salvaging.Dynasty of all corrupt spend milyon 4 candidacy so d have power 2 run their business in town, like cowboy style yahh like n america stewped..i dont think america s like that..
The Alliance of Christians and Muslims in Mindanao STRONGLY SUPPORT THE BANGSAMORO JURIDICAL ENTITY (BJE). The enactment of appropriate legislation or amendment of the Constitution itself as well as the holding of a plebiscite is the key to the solution of the Mindanao Problem! The SC ruling, it only shows that the high court does not want a peaceful solution to the Mindanao. Give PEACE a chance to Mindanao!!!
what we need right now is a good and honest general who has the BALLS to stand up and fight for a government of national rehabilitation and moral revolution.our present society is so sick, with so much wrong doing from the people who ran the government.we need a coup'de etat, followed by a millitary junta,a new government that follows the commnunism ideology
The way thing are going now the Philippines will always be in the same position like the Marcos regime! If I were a rich woman,I would help get these poor people out of the Philippines and into the safety of the good old United States Of America! Go Barack 2008!
rally u are going to gave yor richness to somebody ha ha ha ha nagpapatawa ka ata miss sige nga kong totoo bibigay ka bigyan mo kaya ako ng $10 manlang kong totoong may puso kang malambot sige nga
This type of scene hurts so much. I hate the government of the Philippines for doing this to the less fortunate! Gloria Arroyo is just as corrupt as Marcos and his wife,Imelda.
IT MAY HAVE BEEN a squat, but did anyone see the television on in the back ground? Haha. I have been to TREE HOUSES in the far depths of Southern MINDANAO where they don't have food or clothes, and they are are sitting round the TELEVISION clutching their CELL PHONES in their hands.
i cannot think of anything else how can phil. progress.Philippines has the most intelligent and hardworking pipol, the land is fertile, the weather is gorgeous and majority of the pipol are English speaking (advantage in dealing with foreign investors ,and to be employed abroad)Sad to say - maybe philippines would be better to be a Commmunist rather than a Democratic.
Anak1, you are missing the point, this isn't about economic equality per se but the far more fundamental political matter of democratic equality. If political power is to be determined purely by family relations and access to money, this merely freezes social mobility rendering Philippino politics as a democratic facade, underpinned by a dynastical, almost feudal authoritarianism.
Who is this senator kidding? The Bush, Clinton, Kennedy, Roosevelt, Dulles family dynasties are no positive comparison, in fact, he comparing dynastic politics in the Philipinnes with the most corrupt, nepotic families in the world if he cares to use the Bush's as some kind of parallel to dynastic politics in the Philipinnes. And America is not a 'true' democracy as he calls it, it is a plutocracy, a model for democratic dystopia. Look to Iceland, Switzerland and Sweeden for a positive model!
The squatters excuse is always "there's nothing here, we're suffering so much, the govt is corrupt": a broken record! whenever they're relocated to suburban areas with sanitation, schools, jobs etc; they sell that land and move back to the slums again, then they send young relatives abroad as slaves so they can live well on their remittances! its as much their fault for their facade of naivety and craftiness in seeking an "easy way out" as the less-than-caring govt for their continued poverty!
This attitude of "make them pity us so we can live off their charity" teaches their children only to do the same. The change must come from themselves! The majority of Filipinos who arent rich maintain honest jobs at home or abroad and strive to build a future for their children! It is these people who are slowly but surely moving up the economic ladder. Those in the squatters on the other hand, continue to rely on others charity, which will not change their situation: NO MATTER WHO IS IN POWER!
if we would just make the effort to hold back knee-jerk responses and took a good look at the reasons people are disempowered, (talk to these "squatters" perhaps) and if we would just for once STOP BEING SMUG, then there's a good chance we'd get several steps closer to solving inequality in this country.
u know..I am getting to know more about political, economic and social situations in ASEAN through Al Jazeera than the the shit spewed by CNN and BBC. I hope AL Jazeera coverage will instill awareness among ASEAN citizens of each other.
if king passed on and the power will continue in his heir BUT
IMAGINE there only ONE HEIR and he or she is a BRAT or not "balanced" what will happen to the Future.....normally we dont GET the SAME PERSON in his/her chidren!!! u need QUALITIES in leaders and not Quantities same clan leaders to RUN a Country!!!!
We look bad becuase every time other countries try and make a program about our country they show the bad side of it~ they never make videos about the good things about philippines...it's just stupid!~
Grabe sa Palusot si Zubiri. Grabe. Tang ina nya.

#1 investor

GaolisVideoLog 1 year ago
@GaolisVideoLog I'm doing my part, instead of supporting the brain drain we are having in this country and getting the hell out of here. I'd rather stay and give jobs to our fellow countrymen so that they will not have to leave their families and share an entrepreneurial ideals to every filipino and destroy the laborer mentality. WE still have time to change our course and will not end up in a point of no return. I do believe that filipinos have the skills to do it, but we lack role models.
762459 1 year ago
@762459 We have the skills. What we lack is a leader. Everyone is working so hard, but w/o a gov. giving directions & luring intl. investors to our country, or getting our country on intl. news (not the news we normally get, positive, promising news), we won't get anywhere. And unfortunately, the poorer & less educated we are, the better the life of the rich becomes. We're stuck in a medieval, aristocracy. We need to get out of that.

Look at Tondo with a 90% unemployment rate. Look at the fact that we're the only country in Asia that has to import food. Just look at us.

@GaolisVideoLog you know why that happens, because we always ignore outside help. Honestly do you really think a guy whos the son of ninoy will change the country? no.

By the time they're 20 they're politically literate. This is very diff. from the RP or the US. Further, all schools & uni are public & free of charge; you have incredibly educated masses

Politicians whether dynastic or any color or brand you name it its all the same in principle. In a democracy, we choose leaders to be the TEMPORARY CARETAKERS of our welfare. My question is: Do you really believe that the people you don't know and don't know you will take care of you? It is obvious that the idea of democracy itself is a failure and the result.. devastating to progress of humanity.

like what benigno aquino "noynoy" said, they have the power to help and it feels like that we have duty to do something about our economy, well of course they have money and their famous because of what their clan did for the country, but if your going to use that money and power to do something bad it obviously will not help our country. filipino has this saying that "as time passes by rich will become even more richer and poor will become even more poorer."
whatineedisbeer 2 years ago
philippine politics is not a business. connections bring fortune in the family but that is not " clean" politics. corruption is the danger of dynasties and is a truism that cannot be negated.t if structurers of goverment (constitution, political branches laws etc) are able to guard good governance, political dynasty drops to a political term. failure of a country's economy based on where leaders are from is wrong. it is failure run structures of good leadership that is wanting..
dimple1792 2 years ago
@dimple1792 Wow.. where did you get those ideas? Do you really believe that? Tell me more.
donnyr1713 2 years ago
the emergencee of political dynasty is a collective term. it is not by choice that one follows the tradition of politicians in the family. they have access to good education arm with a strong support and means to fund the campaign.zubiri is right, those that follow family line politics are better honed by their predecessors. electorate look at something that have been tried and tested. same thing going on now with the aquinos. people cLAMOR FOR THEIR OFFSPRINGS to a higher position.
dimple1792 2 years ago
It is essential to form independent agencies funded by the public to accomplish a positive results in investigating the corruptions committed by government officials
The priority now is for the country to elect a strong leader next year, brave enough to remove even members of his own political party who are guilty of abusing their authorities to show he/she is committed in abolishing a dysfunctional political system that has projected the nation's long negative impression in the world.
Flipsify 2 years ago
The widespread corruption dominated by political dynasty has kept the country from achieving an accelerated economic progress compare to its neighboring Asian nations.
These courts and institutions that were established supposedly to control corruption is not effective due to all of it's chairman and presiding judges are appointed by the president.

these people in governement are the real criminals and thieves.they all should be lined up against the wall and face the FIRING SQUAD!! the Philippines is ripe for a TRUE REVOLUTION OF THE MASSES!!

MAKHMOUDTAMOD 2 years ago 5
@MAKHMOUDTAMOD The real shame in our country is us the people. Because we complain about these people, but as soon elections come, we re-elect them. And when people do get elected that want to do something against the situation, we punish them by not re-electing them. WE, the Filipino people, are IDIOTS.

part 4. sorry i didn't have time to edit my part 3 comments. i was using timed computer and i was running out time, that's why my sentences kind of make u dizzy. now i am back on track. i am sure there r many lands around metro manila that r not being use into productive means. yes farms can be good source of income for the poor displaced squater people. if the gov't can get an idea of this,
vegetables will become plentiful and cheap and will create jobs for the poor.
this is just one idea
eddieochocinco 2 years ago
part 3. they can build project houses 15-20 miles away from downtown metropolis. if the can gov't this kind of plan, they can eliminate all the squaters
areas and manila will look a lot better and
can add more shopping stores and commercial building so can create more jobs for the poeple. the sorrounding areas of manila that are being used can also be made in farms for produce to harvest.
eddieochocinco 2 years ago
part 2. the gov't must also give small of plot of garden to each and every displaced family, so that each family has their own vegetables plot to harvest to while waiting for the vegetables to grow on the big farm. then they can
demolish all the squater areas where houses were standing. those squater lands could be built into shopping stores and commercial buildings. the project houses should have their own elementary & high schools and public parks and playgrounds. they can build project ..
eddieochocinco 2 years ago
if the gov't only know how to utilize these poor people they can give them better living and jobs. example if the gov't is willing to relocate these squaters and make project houses 4 the displaced.
then, d the gov't will allocate hectars of farmland for the displaced squaters to plant on.
d farm is owned by gov't, when harvest time, d gov't will sell the produce and half
of profit will be distributed to all the farm workers that had been displaced. the gov't must also give small...part 1

ChildOfHumanity 2 years ago

Give PEACE a chance to Mindanao!!!

what we need right now is a good and honest general who has the BALLS to stand up and fight for a government of national rehabilitation and moral revolution.our present society is so sick, with so much wrong doing from the people who ran the government.we need a coup'de etat, followed by a millitary junta,a new government that follows the commnunism ideology

i cannot think of anything else how can phil. progress.Philippines has the most intelligent and hardworking pipol, the land is fertile, the weather is gorgeous and majority of the pipol are English speaking (advantage in dealing with foreign investors ,and to be employed abroad)Sad to say - maybe philippines would be better to be a Commmunist rather than a Democratic.
pinklustrediamond 3 years ago
Democracy is a weaker version of Communism. Philippines has a lot of aspects of Communism/Socialism.
MrBr3w 3 years ago
Anak1, you are missing the point, this isn't about economic equality per se but the far more fundamental political matter of democratic equality. If political power is to be determined purely by family relations and access to money, this merely freezes social mobility rendering Philippino politics as a democratic facade, underpinned by a dynastical, almost feudal authoritarianism.
tacklinfuel2 3 years ago
Who is this senator kidding? The Bush, Clinton, Kennedy, Roosevelt, Dulles family dynasties are no positive comparison, in fact, he comparing dynastic politics in the Philipinnes with the most corrupt, nepotic families in the world if he cares to use the Bush's as some kind of parallel to dynastic politics in the Philipinnes. And America is not a 'true' democracy as he calls it, it is a plutocracy, a model for democratic dystopia. Look to Iceland, Switzerland and Sweeden for a positive model!

The squatters excuse is always "there's nothing here, we're suffering so much, the govt is corrupt": a broken record! whenever they're relocated to suburban areas with sanitation, schools, jobs etc; they sell that land and move back to the slums again, then they send young relatives abroad as slaves so they can live well on their remittances! its as much their fault for their facade of naivety and craftiness in seeking an "easy way out" as the less-than-caring govt for their continued poverty!
anak1 3 years ago
This attitude of "make them pity us so we can live off their charity" teaches their children only to do the same. The change must come from themselves! The majority of Filipinos who arent rich maintain honest jobs at home or abroad and strive to build a future for their children! It is these people who are slowly but surely moving up the economic ladder. Those in the squatters on the other hand, continue to rely on others charity, which will not change their situation: NO MATTER WHO IS IN POWER!
anak1 3 years ago
if we would just make the effort to hold back knee-jerk responses and took a good look at the reasons people are disempowered, (talk to these "squatters" perhaps) and if we would just for once STOP BEING SMUG, then there's a good chance we'd get several steps closer to solving inequality in this country.
