I'm really sorry to say this, but the performance is really poor. Many of the choristers are flat throughout the piece. It's a shame as it's a beautiful piece.
@kamanetzki Well that really is a ridiculous comment. There are some flat spots I agree but to call it "really poor" is way over the top. Singing is about more that one aspect (important thought correct pitch is). The overall sound is wonderful - and unique. I sometimes wonder about people who post over the top critical comment such as yours whether there is some element of "showing off" because they have spotted a flaw. After all, the choir are not in a studio - for starters.
Really, I wasn't being nasty or showing off. It's consistently flat throughout the piece despite having a lovely sound. There is of course an element in listening to music which is purely subjective (how one responds emotionally if you like) but pitch is an objective element which can't be denied; it either is flat or not. I'm sorry if I upset you.
The two languages JRR Tolkien chose to honor by his Elvish Languages: Qenya and Sindarin....Finnish and Welsh respectively. Nice to see the Welsh and the Finns brought together here as well.

Never tire of listening to this particular play, it must have been one hell of an experience to sing there with such a magnificent choir.
