@LeeClaxton - thank you - really? i did not know about it. i am working for ship owner company and industry and we always call vessels or ship as ''her'' and natural for us to do so. that why i naturally call aircraft as ''she''.

Lee is just being an idiot, maybe he lives in the middle east or something. I think you'll find that in most western countries everything in this context is referred to as a "her" or "she".
