i admire your perseverance and patience on planting.great job. I just started planting squash, eggplant, bittermelon and peppers, i saw squash sprout few days ago. what is the purpose of small pebbles on your zucchini?, is it necessary?.
Hi~ I put the pebbles there as a sort of mulch...to help retain water. It didn't work...After awhile the pepples sunk into soil and now you can't even see them. :( Thanks for your comment. Good luck with your garden!
Love your ambition, you are going to have quite the garden going soon! I live on a 3rd floor balcony, and right now I have about 12 herbs and I just started growing strawberries, and a tomato plant! Hopefully we will be building a planter soon, so that we can grow more food in what little space we have! Your video's have inspired me!
Thanks!! I've been enjoying the process so far...and my 5 yr old is learning a lot too so that is a PLUS. He actually ate pea pods off the vine that HE grew. He's a picky eater so that's a big deal. Sounds like you have a nice little garden too...Hope all goes well with it. :) Thanks for your comment.

It was part of my Aerogarden herb kit...I transplanted them into soil about 6 weeks ago. They since died and I had to cut them down. :(
