How the Boro fans can boo! We wern't being disrepectful, just showing our love for our greatest ever manager,he loved the noise the fans made and what better way of remembering him than to make alot of noise in his memory. His family came out after and said they were deeply touched by it! West Ham now how to remember one of our own.
It took a lot of courage for the lone supporter to start that chant during the minute's silence, it could have gone horribly wrong. However, within a couple of seconds EVERYBODY had spontaneously joined in - it just felt right. I'd like to give thanks to that lone fan for giving me an unforgettable memory, and giving John a proper West Ham tribute - it was spine tingling being in the middle of that, a truly emotional experience. I was there, amazing tribute and amazing day.
Took a lot of guts to start that on his own.
It was the Boro fans booing, but now the minutes applause is standard.
