Just finished it (no pun intended). It seemed to me easier to beat Kintaro with Kitana. I used her fans to stop him in the air and then throw them at him.
I've been playing this game for 20 years almost and I still can't get past the 6th fight. The AI in this game is faster than a human can react no matter what you do it is coiuntered and you get ass raped before you can counter back. I've destroyed 2 carts and will not play the 3rd because this game will do nothing but frustrate you to the point where you get physical.
@YouKnowWhatIHateYou in mk1 i keep freezing and uppercutting but when i fight kano,sonya and raiden i have problems cuz they keep blocking and spamming and throwing
@Tenucha it's not working in the recent mortal kombat arcade kollection I've tried it like two days ago... maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I'm pretty sure it is not working. I've red the description and it is written that it is not working in arcade versions... that suck
@Evilyellowtang I just tried it, and you can do it but I think it's more difficult. The CPU doesn't want to cooperate as much but you should be able to pull it off.
Yeah I just did it, myself after getting curious. :) Just one a side note, I had a much easier with Kintaro too, because a harpoon / uppercut hurts a little bit more than Jaxs' wave. The trade off of course is Scorpions' air throw does do nearly as much damage as jaxs' kick / back breaker.

I actually ran out of space in the description (note taken), but I just wanted to mention that you can do the jump kick into a backbreaker on a standing opponent if you time it right.
