  • Can you say rust? You need to get that fixed bro nice sound

  • why point the camera at the muffler

  • Sick man do it's a 3 inch inlet and 3 inch outlet? Sounds nice.

  • my speakers exploded :))

  • weak

  • awesome sound

  • Sounds like chit!!!!!

  • Love the flow master

  • i got this on my ford ranger its awesome

  • FLowmaster super 44's like i have on my car are MOSTLY black powdercoat, But there are silver ones just like this, sounds the same and looks the same as mine.

  • Sounds like a monster!!! Nice.

  • is that straigh back from y pipe or what? becaust on older f150 the pipe comming out of the y pipe is not 3 inches how did you do this setup?

  • @spk9grsch

I previously had a magnaflow catback system on there. It comes from the manifolds to the y-pipe back to the muffler.

  • @ImAti0n tha flowmaster is put backwards lol

  • thats a 40 series

  • super 44's are black. i just bought one. however, a super 40 is silver

  • flowmasters only cost like 70-90 bucks not a big deal, i'll take your work it is flowmaster. Quick question for ya. I got a super 44 on my 4.7l V8 dodge and was thinkin bout dumping it as well. I have fully tail pipe now with a 3.5x18 inch tip. Will dumping it make it louder and more agressive?

  • @aaminjoshi91 yeah I think dumping it makes it louder, but it isn't going to a significant difference. I prefer dumped though. I could care less about how the tail pipes look and it saves me money.

  • @ImAti0n right well i wanna make it louder but if you say it wont be a "significant" difference then i dont wanna do it you know? I mean i could just cut off enough tail pipe attaching to the muffler then in that open space dump the exhaust and leave the tail pipe on? you know what i mean leave the tail on but cut it and dump the exhaust to just see? What do you think? Would a metal cut off wheel work good to cut exhaust pipe?

  • @aaminjoshi91 Dumping it gives it a more aggressive rumble (resonance), but it's much more noisy inside the car. I had Borla dumps, Flowmaster dumps and also had them out the back using the same mufflers previous to the dumps and it completely changed the sound. Also, the bigger the outlet of the muffler, the more throaty. I posted a few muffler vids. One is of my Gen 1 Lightning with dumps so check it out if you want.

  • @Stickman53fe right well i mean i got vids up if you wanna hear my exhaust now with full tail pipe. And yeah i think i might just go ahead and dump it. cant hurt any you know? i wont dump it RIGHT AFTER the muffler but maybe about 6 inches after. Will that make a difference?

  • @aaminjoshi91 It will depending on where your seats are if that's what you are concerned with. Also, turndowns are a must when exiting right after the mufflers. It will keep a lot of the exhaust out of your lungs. Even more if your turndowns are pointed slightly out toward your doors and not just straight down to the ground. I do prefer the sound of dumps over tail pipes though. It's all personal preference.

  • @Stickman53fe Right well i just like loud lol with a sound! I'll give it a try man thanks!

  • @aaminjoshi91 Anytime man. I truly love the sound a decent exhaust. It's like music.

  • @Stickman53fe Yeah me too lol. I figure after this rusts out maybe next summer or spring i'll get a 12 inch dynomax bullet. that'll be nice lol! But yeah i'll see if i can cut the pipe myself and dump it

  • @aaminjoshi91 you will hear the exhaust more because the sound will reflect off the body and there will be vibration as well it will defiantly seem more aggressive.

  • @hendo337 yeah? well i'm passed dumpin my exhaust man. check out my latest exhaust flowmaster super 10 series and a flow monster high flow cat. single exhaust sounds bad ass though!

  • @aaminjoshi91 i heard dumping it doesnt make it louder the best is side exit before the rear wheel

  • @FORDcountry4x4 side exit before rear wheel? i can see that. You'd have the tail pipe right underneath the rear side window so you'd hear it a lot better. i might try that. get a single in dual out muffler then run to short tail pipes out the side like that.

  • WHO THE FUCK CARES WHAT KIND OF MUFFLER IT IS!!!!!! IF THE MANS PLEASED WITH THE WAY IT SOUNDS THEN EVERYBODY FUCKING CHILL!!! B.T.W.- YOU GOTTA GOOD SOUNDING TRUCK BUD. TAKE CARE

  • my dads looks like that to the flowmaster thing is small on the 44;s

  • thats definitely a super 44, i have the same exact thing on my cherokee, single in single out 3 inch offset in center out...i have the flowmaster stamp facing upwards as well

  • I have super 44s on my 09 f150 and they are not black!. My 08 mustang gt has black flowmasters

  • I'm getting an s44 for my blazer and I have looked at these plenty to know there are three colors. Bronze. Black. And stainless. You must all be shoved up off roading so bad because there are plenty on cars that aren't black.

  • Since I see a lot of people doubting its a Flowmaster, and the haters and all I will make a new video soon with everything you guys want to know. I will show the flowmaster stamp on the muffler and everything.

  • Don't take offence, but that driveshaft could use a light scuffing and some chassis paint or similar tough coating.

    Nice truck and muffler.

  • Nice.

  • I had a Super 44 on my 07 GMC 5.3l v8, and even though they're different trucks, I'm gonna say this isn't a S44. It's not loud at all. On my GMC I originally had turn-downs but eventually got it dualed out the back because I was getting headaches from how loud it was climbing hills on the way to work.

  • Every 44 that i have installed were BLACK

  • Hey y'all im pretty new to all this so help me out. I am about to get a 04 F-250 with a 5.4L V8 and I plan to put in a Volant cold air intake and an exhaust. What would be a good, loud, but not obnoxious sounding exhaust?

  • any of the welded chambered mufflers are good. if you get a flowmaster get a 40 series or 50 series. dont go any bigger than that, or else it will be too quiet. I purchased some Dynomax Thrush welded chambered mufflers for my pu truck and they sound almost identical to the flowmaster 40 series mufflers and they sound excellent, and they sell for about 1/3 the price of the flowmasters too. you can find em at jegs, or summitracing.

    Good luck!

  • @WMskoalman2010 like single in dual out with flowmaster 50 series or something about like that

  • Nice video, awesome sound!

    5/5

  • thats exactly the sound I would love to have my truck make. Did you have to put headers in your truck?

  • I bought mine yesterday, and I had a choice of black or silver at the speed shop. I went with the balck to compliment my truck. Once it is on, ill have to post to show it off, but no haters plz.

  • First off, not all super 44s are black. Black is just the color Flowmaster shows on the site. It is a v8 so why even mention a v6? And do you not have anything better to do with your pathetic lives than shit-talk other people? thank you sir for posting this video, and the rest of you should really find something else to occupy your time... Oh, also, MsRecneps, it's stock, not stalk. If your gonna shit talk on the internet, at least maybe learn to spell....

  • I think these posts are pretty funny... You tell people not to talk shit over the net and yet your doing exactly that. Read your fourth sentence over again and think before you post on YouTube.

  • touche sir....

  • @Black2313 mine is black

  • thats not flowmaster 44 dumbass

  • if your gonna buy a 6 cyclinder vehicle dont even bother of buying any muffler leave it stalk dont try and make a stupid engine sound nice ... cause it wont happen ever , unless its a supra

  • lol? your retarded, some 6 cylinders sound pretty good.

  • thats not true, #1 and the most important, please for God sake dont ever screw with a imports muffler!, they sound bad enough the way they were! #2 some v6s do sound nice with new mufflers they are just a little more high pitched #3 but you are right v8s sound best with a new exhaust

  • Thats not a flowmaster 44. But good try lol.

  • Thats not flowmaster

  • not only should you put the camera some where else but that muffler looks like it needs to be a center in and center out cause it is sitting right over the driveshaft.

  • actually it should just be flipped upside down .. so that the input is on the right side not the left .. know what i mean lol , yeah and the camera should be put like .. 20 feet away. when ppl hear your truck their effing ear isnt in the end of the exhaust jesus

  • why do people make videos like this? obv its gunna be loud as fuck right under the truck....put your camera on your front door step and go do a drive by or something. videos like this show nothing for what it really sounds like, no offense bro

  • Man thats not a super 44, super 44's are all black.

  • What Year?

  • sounds like shit

  • the old 44s were silver..the new ones are black. i want to get one for my 99 f150 4.2L V6..

  • thats not a 44

  • lol it don't matter if its a 44 or a 40 its flowmaster lol sounds damn good man i got mine dumped with no muffler and it helped my power it just don't hold the sound as long and give ya the pop like tipps do but thats pretty i got to say..

  • not a 44. 44's are black

  • your weld is gonna break after awile if you hit enogh bumps

  • it sounds like a 40 because i had one on my old truck, but guys there are both black and stainless steel( that aren't painted black)

  • Too loud for the microphne! hah

  • sounds like 50 series suv

  • Sounds good like only a Ford could! I had dual Flowmasters on my 02 f150 and they sounded good. I just got my exhaust completely redone and went with SLPs instead cuz everybody around here has flowmasters. My truck sounds good and loud!

  • super 44s are black. and if you listen close enough you can hear that 40 series pop when the idle comes down

  • the muffler is a flowmaster. I can snap a picture of the Flowmaster stamp on the muffler if ya'll don't believe me.

as for losing power cause its dumped thats a load of bs.

whenever I get a nice spare chunk of change I'm gonna get the exhaust redone

  • not all 44s are black mang

  • yeah, I just ordered one, the black ones are somewhat new. they are "off-road" material I guess.

  • i'm geting my super 44 installed friday on my ranger. my biggest concern is the inlet and outlet are monster size compared to the exhaust pipe.

if I splice and crimp it, then have it welded on, it should work right?

  • its a flowmaster your all dumbasses

  • super 44's are black

  • you should of went single inlet, dual outlet, single outlet performance mufflers are a waste of money, only diesel trucks can pull of a single outlet, and you need to some tailpipes, it sounds like dick sorry

  • and by the way a dump at the rear axle kills your horsepower comapred to a system with full tailpipes

  • how does dumping at the rear axle kill power?

  • FYI...Your driveline is going to EAT your muffler. dont go off roading! ...lol.

  • since i work at a exhaust shop, i know for sure thats notta flowmaster "44". whoever told you otherwise is full of crap. all flowmaster mufflers are stamped "flowmaster". you gotta knock off original flowmaster design. not knocking the truck, but i thought id letcha know man :)

  • Flowmaster only stamps one side. The coating and the welds give it away.

  • nope it sure isnt a flowmaster the inlet and outlet necks on this muffler are diffrent than a flowmaster i worked in an exhaust shop for 10 years but im not saying this muffler is a bad mufflerthe knock offs are designed exactly the same internaly and sound the same to my ear

  • It is a Flowmaster dude, the paint burns off, i've had two so far, he put it with the stamp facing up though thats all

  • @Bad88Thunderbird

There is a "flowmaster" stamp on the muffler.

  • @Bad88Thunderbird then you would know the flowmaster symbol is on the top and when you weld the muffler up correctly to the input, you cant see the top of the muffler.

  • @Bad88Thunderbird Dude, I got the same muffler and it says flomater.

  • @xxbal1inxx flomaster*

  • @Bad88Thunderbird lol... ever think the it might be on the other side? Flowmasters are cheap mufflers why would anyone try to sell one as a knockoff? You work at a muffler shop as a janitor probably and you can't recognize that patented Flowmaster finish or their welding style? LOL at youtube experts.

  • did u take of the catalytic converter?

  • nope still got the 2 pre cats and 2 cats.

I plan on getting the 2 pre cats "gutted" and getting two hi flows soon.

  • It's a waste to gut 2 cats. You won't feel a difference and the sound is just about the same. Loose all four or go w/ 2 high flow cats.

  • That sounds awesome... but what is with the massive amount of empty space aobove the exel and muffler? Do you have a big body lift or something?

  • Nope the truck is a 4x4 so thats probably why.

  • Well in a few months after I save up some money I'm having my exhaust re done again. I'm going to have 2 hi flow Magnaflow cats put on and a 14" Magnaflow muffler welded on. So that should do.

  • that will be perfect. Great sounding exhaust. I had super 44s on my chevy, went with 11" magnaflows and much happier, gonna get hi-flow cats soon.

  • yeah I saw your video....so nice. I want the setup you have.

  • its backwards

  • What year is that

  • i have a flow master 40 series on my 1994 silverado, it looks just like that one. that doesnt look like a 44.

  • ya the super 44 is black and looks like diamond plate! and i think that its welded up backwards

  • they are black but not all are diamond plate, i got one on my ride... still that aint a Super44

  • looks to me like it's backwards.

  • IS BEST

    WITHOUT TIP

    OPEN MUFFLER!

  • That sounds great, backfiring aside.

That said does everybody have to whine and have their little bitch fits about everything. You guys sound like 3 years olds the way you whine. If you don't like the video don't be a dick about it. You are not cool if you act like a moron. and also please speak English, it's not that hard to do, and make it so we can read it. Again not hard. I'm 17 So obviously its not that hard. Thanks.

  • that blows dude on how they ripped you off, but dont get magnaflow they are not that very good of a muffler...get a dynomax bullet dumped and man your truck will be screaming

  • lol that same thing happened to me, i tried getting duel 44's on my 5.4 but they put fucking glass packs on it, cant really complain though lol, it sounds great =)

  • That is right glass packs are just as good as all this other high dollar mess. Pretty loud too. I have glass packs on my 5.4 and I sure aint complaining.

  • Finally someone who agrees with me. Spend a quarter of the price of one flowmaster and get a glasspack, and it sounds and flows better anyways. Or just stop being a wuss and straight-pipe it. I got 2.5" straight duals with an x-pipe on my Grand Marquis, it's loud (a good loud) & sounds badass as hell. I got the whole system made, cat-back, for just over the price of 2 Flowmaster Super 44's....

  • Well, most of us "wussies" have to pass a state inspection every year. If your exhaust is louder than 96db, then it will not pass inspection. If I took the muffler right off my exhaust system and drove around that way.... it would sound sweet as all hell, but it would be god-awful loud and I would have to get a muffler put on it once a year to pass inspection. Plus running the risk of being pulled over for noisey exhaust.

  • Yeah. To my knowledge in Wisc. our "state inspections" are just emissions tests and they are bi-annual. But even with something like a flowmaster its still loud enough to get you pulled over.

  • Well, my brother owns a 1978 Ford Ranger XLT which he build up himself. He's got a rebuilt 460 in it, custom dual exhaust with no cats and flow master 40's on them (he actually made the entire exhaust system himself; he got a bunch of 3" pipe, a pipe bender, and welded it all together). It has a wooden bed, rides high on 33's, and it is fucking loud as all living hell. He has had the truck for probably 2 years now, and him and I both drive it all the time: never gotten pulled over. It amazes me.

  • I had a '89 F250 w/ 460 ran it open headers, cuz the cat clogged, for 8-9 months before i put a cat on, no attention from cops...

I guess it all depends on what the cops think is too loud. A friend of mine got a fix-it ticket for a leaky although fairly quiet exhaust.

  • I bought a super 44 offroad it's black diamondplate.

  • super 44s are black the store dicked u go get ur money back dude

  • I've already had it on to long to get a refund I believe. Unless someone else can tell me otherwise.

  • well they gave u a 80$ one for 200$ they ripped u off its there fult they cant do that or u could ask for 120$ so it would even out the dif i would try that so yea give that a shot and let me know

  • I'll give them a call and ask what their return policy is.

  • yeah I think we've come to the conclusion that the shop I went to dicked me. It only cost about 200 to cut my old muffler off and weld all this up. First and last time I go to them. My next setup is gonna be 2 high flow cats from Magnaflow with a 14" muffler from them as well.

  • Dont get us wrong, the Super 40 sounds amazing but the super 44 is new and costs so much more. Make sure it is a super 44.

  • those arent super 44's bc they are black, not silver grayish looking. go get your money back and get the super 44s. i have them on my 5.0 mustang and theyre freakin awesome.

  • yeah they dicked u those are 40 series i have 44 on my impala no cats they are sick

  • ya exactly go get the 44 .. i have them on my mustang and they sound awsome!! even with the cats and tailpipes on!!

  • Wow that dont sound righ on a ford.

  • i think its his shitty cam mike thats making that cracking noise

  • ya thats an original 40, super 44 are black and so are the super 40 but i put bullets on my silverado which is loud as hell

  • super 44's are black dude....

  • That is a 40. the Super 44 is black and the off road version is made from diamond plate and also black. Learn your mufflers

  • well sorry, mr. know it all. I asked the shop to put on a 44 and they said they did. so I took their word. my bad.

  • yea the 44 is black tho, no offense

  • i would go tell them that i wanted my money back or put a real 44 on there, bc theres a pretty good price and sound difference

  • nice drive shaft

  • my super44 is black

  • I just got my Super 44s today ( not installed yet ) and I have a Super 40 that I never installed, the Super 40 & original 40 are the same case specs, I put both the 44 & 40 together, the 40 is much larger, now that I look at the muffler on this truck, it looks exactly like my Super 44, just not black. I dont know why its not painted but I believe that its a Super 44

  • looks like a 40 s muff

  • No they all come in black, and the off-road version comes in a diamond plated version for protection of the muffler. But that is not a Super 44, I just had one put on my truck and it's completely black, but whatever it is, sounds good lol

  • Yeah they are in black, this might be a FM 40 i dunno what does it say on the bottom of the muff?

  • Flowmaster and all the patents.

  • super 44 mufflers come in regular aluminized steel or the "off road" version which is black

  • idk, Super 44s are supposed to be painted black, but look how huge that outlet is its nearly as big as the case itself, & the case is 4"s in height & thats a 3" outlet, but why isn't it black?

  • the case is actually 4.5".

  • that is not a super 44 ints not black you tweaker..... sniff, sniff, sniff

  • Well I am going by what the shop told me. I asked them several times over and over if they are putting the Super 44 on and they said yes.
