No, its for all single player achievements providing the source profile (the one that already has the achievements) and I think it unlocks some online multiplayer, all you have to do is play and complete one match

I don't actually own the game, but as far as I know, it works for all single player achievements, and some select multiplayer achievements

Yes, the "source" profile needs to have the achievements and the "destination" (your account that wants achievements) is the second profile.
