Fireflies wasn't meant to be popular,

nor was it even meant to be on an album.

Adam Young wrote the song when he couldn't fall asleep (because he has chronic insomnia) and needed to do something to pass the time.

There are examples of this in the song like "Leave my door open just a crack, 'cause I feel like such an insomniac.", "Why do I tire of counting sheep, when I'm far too tired to fall asleep." and "It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep."

wow4ever1212.....harmonisers and autotune is very different. tune and harmony is different! there is no vocal harmony with the piano, infact the vocals has it's own melody, thus not harmonising with the piano.

It is autotune and you can google autotune fireflies by owl city. I just did and he most certainly did autotune.

I used Sony ACID pro for audio editing, and the only effects used is a reverb/echo when needed,, but other than that there are not effects to my voice.
