I am hardly a fan of the Inheritance Cycle; however, I felt the tragic ending was decidedly mature in contrast to the, at times, preposterously unbelievable characters and plot. (Not having a go at fantasy at all, three of my favourite authors are Ursula K. Leguin, Alan Garner and China Miéville.)

to bad the "ending",if it really is the ending ruined the entire series for me. If he writes another book in next 3 years about eragon the he is genius, if he doesn't i wont be doing a reread coz ending to depressing.

The series needed an end not another cliff hanger
It is the perfect lead into a new book though and I hope he makes one
