  • Wow! This guys voice is amazing. So lyrical and expressive along with the piano. Just wonderful!

  • quite easily the best I have ever heard this masterpiece. PLEASE put some stuff on iTunes I would be the first in line to buy it. I absolutely ADORE your divine timbre, and your perfect pronunciation is marvelous as well!!! 1000 TIMES CONGRAGULATIONS

  • dead on!

With a fortepiano, none the less! What a wonderful performance!

  • This version is even better than the interpretation of Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau!!! And I love Dietrich... So you can figure how much do I love this version. Thanks for posting this up!

  • I like Peter Shea's performance better than Fischer-Diskau's.The purity and simplicity of his singing is perfect for these songs.

  • Movement No.6 starts on 6:30

  • I must also compliment your lovely tenor. The wonderfull mix that you have suits this part so well. It was fantastic listening to. I found it because Im singing this in some months. if I could just be as good you, there should be no problems :-)

  • Bravo! What a beautifully lyric performance of Beethoven's little cycle. The light tenor vocal quality and the timbre of the fortepiano are a perfect complement. I wish we could see the singer's face... the lighting is rather dim.

  • Thanks! FYI the lighting was deliberately lowered because it was feared the heat from the spotlights would put the fortepiano out of tune for the concerto that followed (Beethoven #4)

  • 6 wonderful lieder comprises this op.98, "an die ferne geliebte": perhaps the most ambitious and concient contribution to the Beethoven's liederistic production,, they represent a moment of dreaming, lament, melancholy and anxiety, not as often found in the genius, even though these are pages filled with spring hopes, like the critics say it goes beyond Schubert till reachind schumann, long live ludwig van, and congratulations to this nice tenor

  • Great collaboration!
