  • The knife must be sharp enough to sever the carotids, jugulars, trachea, and oesophagus in one pass. When all of that is severed, the animal becomes unconscious instantaneously. Leaving the spinal cord in tact keeps the heart pumping, removing more blood from the meat than is possible by any other method. There are many commandments considered, including ensuring the animal does not suffer, and removing the blood.

  • die juden haben uns sehr weitergeholfen in der medizin, jedoch nicht lebendig und leider sind damals wohl einige etwischt.....schade, denn sonst müssten wir nicht solche videos in youtube sehen.

  • you fucking kosher andt hala slaughter.i like to cut youre fuking nak like you do here on the film ,fuck all youre shit muslims

  • I cant understand these guys, why does everyone have to be so different? we will all see after we die and find out that's there is nothing after death.

  • what commentators fail to understand here is that the knife must be perfectly sharp so as to minimize the pain of the animal....why do you think the rabbis are checking the knife after each animal? the sharpness of the knife is very important...you can find many videos on youtube where the animal suffers because the knife is not share enough and gets caught on the throat or skin...thus, the jewish form of slaughter minimizes animal suffering

  • @reginado1705 fuck off u knob!!! whether the knife is sharp or not u feel the cut!!!! the only way it wouldnt hurt the cow is to totally remove the head in one quick movement!!!!! why do u think animals get stunned in the first place??? prick!!!

  • Notice how they don't show the suffering the animal goes through as it slowly bleeds out fully aware? Kosher and Halal slaughter doesn't use stunning and therefore is cruel and unnecessary!

  • listen to that calm soothing music and how gently the rabbi describes how he is killing these animals humanely. THIS IS JEWISH PROPAGANDA. Murder is murder, they couldnt care less.

  • @9999necron - your soothing calm comment here suggesting that killing beef for food consumption is a "jewish" thing, while most of the non-jewish world does the same thing on a much bigger scale, is nothing but your pure deep hate for jews.

  • @martysoffice True, killing animals in any kind of unethical fashion is a horrible thing. But this here is a tradition where the animal MUST suffer for the ritual. Think about that?! that's screwed up.... Same thing in South Korea, they believe that making cats and dogs suffer before they die will make the meat taste better. I'm critical of any race that practices animal cruelty on such a mass scale, not just Judaism.

  • . Only certain animals, birds and fish may be eaten; the blood must not be consumed; and the method of slaughter must be “as I have commanded you” (Deut. 12:21). How can you eat meat and not consume the blood?! Absolute nonsense, its not right to delude yourself like this. If you can't consume the blood then you can eat the meat, its simple! This clip shows everything being done properly but I can bet that most slaugther houses cannot be bothered to prepare their equipment so vigerously

  • HUMANE? Seriously? "Kashrut" means the animal must be conscious when they brutally slit its throat. Just look at 4:09 the poor cow in the background that just had its throat slit is writhing on the ground in agony. How is slitting a conscious animals throat more humane than rending it unconscious prior to slaughter? The cow that got flipped upside down at 4:09 didn't look like it was being treated with "respect." This is primitive barbarism; religious freedom ends where animal cruelty begins.

  • @S0u11ess Aside from reiterating the points "the animal loses consciousness instantly" and "no pain is felt whatsoever", and pointing out the fact that therefore it cannot be "writhing in agony" if it's unconscious and doesn't feel anything - I feel the need to point out that non-religious slaughterhouses are far worse than this, most using no stunning methods whatsoever. If you want to complain, go check out videos of those. You'd be surprised.

  • @S0u11ess Dr. Temple Grandin conducted a series of experiments on shechita incisions in 1994, allowing the restraints to be applied lightly enough that the cattle was allowed to "writhe in agony" if it felt any pain; the cattle did not move. Dr. Grandin concluded: "it appears the animal is not aware that its throat has been cut." So you'd rather have your brain matter brutally destroyed by six to eight skull-penetrating shots to the head by a captive bolt pistol? It takes more than one shot.

  • I believe this is very humane, have you seen the 'meat video' which shows non religious slaughter and cruelty.

  • Wow I hope everyone who is commenting against kashrut slaughter is a vegan...it really is disgusting and cruel but absolutely no more so than standard American slaughter. American slaughter is in fact probably much worse due to the high volume of animals they are forced to slaughter per hour. Please don't open your mouth against this unless you are also vegan otherwise you are nothing but a hypocrite.

  • Shechita is an attempt to slaughter the animal in a humane fashion. Most of the comments here sound like the typical 2000 year old anti-semitic history of hate.

Judaism survives despite all the gentile cults. Heni Ma Tov

  • Shalom, Please, I can say as it is called the box that turns 180 degrees the cow? thanks

  • so that poor cow was awake when u had it flipped upside down getting ready to brutally slit it throat? Anyone who would commit this kind of animal cruelty to satisfy their religious delusions is a sick person.

  • @S0u11ess No one said it's a must to hoist every cattle for shechita. That's it. I do not believe every atheist governments are perfect and humane. So does Judaism. The truth is that shechita can be the most humane slaughtering method.

  • @S0u11ess "religious delusions"? it's something called "food", bud

  • Comment removed

  • @S0u11ess believe it or not, this is actually one of the most humane slaughter methods; shechita slaughtering is done with respect towards the animal and designed to reduce the suffering to nothing. when the cow has its throught slit in this specific way, the trachea, esophagus, and main blood vessels are severed and the animal loses consciousness instantly. no pain is felt whatsoever; if the animal feels pain, it's been done wrong.

please do your research before calling the process barbaric.

  • typical barbarian cruelty from primitive religious people. cruelty to animals so that you can eat meat that was prepared the way some crazy man many years ago wrote in a book.

  • Why don't you cut your crazy dreadlocks better with that dumb knife you use.

  • Where are your beard guards? COCHINO! The animals should be drained of their blood and proven unconscious before dumping them on the floor.

  • All slaughterhouses are houses of terror and pain and for these Rabbis are telling Pure PROPAGANDA. Animals are in a metal confinement box, upside down, they don't show the trachea and esophagus being ripped out after the cut and takes 10 minutes or more to become unconscience and more to die. These Rabbies spin their atrocites to look less horrifying, music and lack of any video of the actual killing, makes this a "staged and propaganda video!

  • @stopthekillingmadnes how do you know how long an animal stays conscious? any doctor will tell you that cutting the main arteries in the neck will drop the pressure in the brain and lead to instant unconsciousness.

are you telling me western factory farms are better?

  • @beepu2 Thank you. You are 100% correct.

An Australian slaughter man of 45 yrs, made the same comment a few months ago elsewhere.

He said in over 50% of times in a regular abattoir, stunning the animal does work.

The animal reels & bellows in pain for 5 mins. It has a badly injured brain & crashed skull, hung up alive, has it's stomach slit, whilst still alive.

I saw a programme about it too on TV. This man said the would eat no other meat

  • @beepu2

    they are better

  • @stopthekillingmadnes Dont forget Jesus as a Jew observed Kosher Law.

  • 7:55 is absolutely priceless

    .

  • The music is unnecessary

How long does the live animal have to remain in the upside down position

    before being cut ?

Why is the actual cut and the bleeding out not shown ?

  • @craterlakes

    @craterlakes

Ah, you mean, you'd love to see the tortured animal dieing? You love watching cruelty to animals?

Well, people who practise such bloody rites must have a very special satanic God. If their God was "Love", they wouldn't kill others, neither humans nor animals. But how people live, if they neglect cruelty or not, shows the truth of their religion. And religions which allow cruelty are untruth and barbaric.

  • @ElisaJane2005

Dr. Temple Grandin: The animal is slaughtered, without being stunned, with a razor sharp knife. When the cut is done correctly, the animal appears not to feel it. From an animal welfare standpoint, the major concern during ritual slaughter are the stressful and cruel methods of restraint (holding) that are used in some plants. Progressive slaughter plants use devices to hold the animal in a comfortable, upright position

  • @craterlakes The animal must be in that position until the slaughter is done. Most likely the video left out the actual slaughter and blood spraying because it is very gory, but it likely took as much time as you saw.
