Looks like small chunks of ice to me. The blast is likely a thruster. The high speed chunk was closer to the blast (expanding air in a near vacuum) and moves faster as a result.

So let me get this straight: you see a grainy picture of a white dot floating around with a white line passing near it and you immediately believe it is "alien technology". Where's the logic in that?
Well, point me to a video here on YT showing a man-made aircraft that can stop mid-air and shoot at incredible speed at 45 degrees in a fraction of a second.
How do you know it's an aircraft? How do you know it shows anything artificial? How do you know it's even in space? What makes you think that lighter shaded area is a planet or that white line is an energy beam?
The thing is, you don't. If you want to imagine it's a UFO being shot by an energy beam, then you will see it as such. If you want to imagine it's something else, you'll see it as something else. It's just not detailed enough to come up with any valid hypothesis.
@Onsube This is a live feed from NASA. The feed was intercepted by Martin Stubbs a cable TV station manager. That's how we know it's space/earth. Does this prove that it's alien? No. But NOTHING known to the general public to date can travel that fast in space (which can equate to several hundred thousand miles/hour) then stop and take off in another direction...the G forces alone would destroy whatever it was.
That being said, how is this possible? No one knows. It's an anomoly.
You're still assuming that it's distant from the camera. It could be a particle that's close to the camera, but apparently people are more interested in pretending it's an alien spaceship.
Not only that, but if people were observant enough and not so focused on using this as their half-assed "PROOF OF ALIEN LIFE", they'd realize that the origin of the flash and the origin of the "beam" fired by the "ground-based energy pulse wepon" are completely different locations.
At no point did I say that this was an alien spacecraft. No where did I indicate that I was biased on your side or the other. I even said "does this prove it's alien? NO!"

Nothing can travel in space or our atmosphere at those speeds and turn that rapidly. (For sh*ts and giggles sake, assuming it is a spacecraft.) that's fact.
Again, I state that I'm unbiased, I am skeptical to this video. You and many others who've said it over and over again, "this is dust" and that could be true. But then you would be assuming yourself that it *IS* a dust particle or that this object is close to the camera.
What I'm getting at is, you're right there is no proof it's alien, but there's no proof it's dust either. So I remain open minded and skeptical, because I think it's half-assed naive to think that we're the only intellegent beings in an entire universe this big.

Normally, I would agree with you that one should not dismiss potential possibilities simply because they're extremely improbable, but if I applied the "There's no proof it isn't, so it could be true" principle to -everything- I saw, I could never create a logical, feasible decision about anything.
I do agree with you that aliens probably exist somewhere, I just don't agree with this being "obvious proof" or even "slightly kind of proof" that aliens exist, just like I wouldn't believe God existed just because someone has a grilled cheese sandwich shaped like Jesus or whatever. It's perfectly possible that there -is- a supreme deity, but a single, questionably verifiable event is not going to be "proof", especially when it can be otherwise easily faked.
So I find the possibility that this is -not- an alien getting shot at by a laser beam greater than the possibility that this is an alien getting shot at by a laser beam, and taking the greater possibility than the other, I'm going to conclude that it is my personal opinion that this does not depict an alien getting shot at by a laser beam, just like one would conclude that a grilled cheese sandwich shaped like Jesus does not validate the existence of a supreme deity.
You're absolutely right, I don't believe that this is a laser weapon, but I don't know what nasa or our governments are capable of. Far fetched, yeah, it probably is but that's why I won't comment further about that.
But I'm not saying apply that theory to everything. Because you're right, we'd never have a logical answer for anything. We have logical answers for large percentage of things that happen on earth because we encounter
them, study them, recreate it to which allows us to have the logical answers.
But this is something that you or I have no idea what it is because we've never been in space to see what things are, how they work and why they're there. So it's unfair for both of us to say it is or isn't something as there's no study based on this situation.
Logic tells us that it's just thrusters igniting and it's dust being blown quickly past the camera. Physicists in another video says no, while some say it is.
And I know your point is how can someone say this is proof when there's too many variables left in the equation. To which, this video is chalked up to someone unwilling to see both sides of the coin and jumping to an easy answer.
This is why I will always be skeptical until there's no doubt in my mind and everyone elses.

the wrong assumption is that humans fired the pulse weapon. more likely scenario is that the aliens already here warned off the approaching ship and let them know this planet is off limits. I imagine the approaching vessel had a sensor alarm which indicated something like a "radar tracking lock" on their vessel. they knew that they had seconds to redirect. which they did.
I don't think the Us or Russia has the plasma beam weapon seen here. definitely a UFO and definitely it was shot at.

To ALL who posted a comment to this OLD video, I remember the day when this was aired on the 6 O'clock news I have the original broadcast with the ACTUAL audio from the astronaut doing the recording from the shuttle. It aired only once that I know of with the actual audio and I just happen to be lucky and recorded it on a VHS when it aired. When you hear the voice of the astronaut, your eye's will open. Looks like small chunks of ice to me. The blast is likely a thruster. The high speed chunk was closer to the blast (expanding air in a near vacuum) and moves faster as a result.

So let me get this straight: you see a grainy picture of a white dot floating around with a white line passing near it and you immediately believe it is "alien technology". Where's the logic in that?

Well, point me to a video here on YT showing a man-made aircraft that can stop mid-air and shoot at incredible speed at 45 degrees in a fraction of a second.

How do you know it's an aircraft? How do you know it shows anything artificial? How do you know it's even in space? What makes you think that lighter shaded area is a planet or that white line is an energy beam?
The thing is, you don't. If you want to imagine it's a UFO being shot by an energy beam, then you will see it as such. If you want to imagine it's something else, you'll see it as something else. It's just not detailed enough to come up with any valid hypothesis.

@Onsube This is a live feed from NASA. The feed was intercepted by Martin Stubbs a cable TV station manager. That's how we know it's space/earth. Does this prove that it's alien? No. But NOTHING known to the general public to date can travel that fast in space (which can equate to several hundred thousand miles/hour) then stop and take off in another direction...the G forces alone would destroy whatever it was.
That being said, how is this possible? No one knows. It's an anomoly.

You're still assuming that it's distant from the camera. It could be a particle that's close to the camera, but apparently people are more interested in pretending it's an alien spaceship.
Not only that, but if people were observant enough and not so focused on using this as their half-assed "PROOF OF ALIEN LIFE", they'd realize that the origin of the flash and the origin of the "beam" fired by the "ground-based energy pulse wepon" are completely different locations.

What I did state are facts. Nothing but. It's fact Martin Stubbs captured this live feed from a nasa transmission.
Nothing can travel in space or our atmosphere at those speeds and turn that rapidly. (For sh*ts and giggles sake, assuming it is a spacecraft.) that's fact.

Again, I state that I'm unbiased, I am skeptical to this video. You and many others who've said it over and over again, "this is dust" and that could be true. But then you would be assuming yourself that it *IS* a dust particle or that this object is close to the camera.

What I'm getting at is, you're right there is no proof it's alien, but there's no proof it's dust either. So I remain open minded and skeptical, because I think it's half-assed naive to think that we're the only intellegent beings in an entire universe this big.

I'm not saying aliens don't exist, I'm saying that it's really ridiculous to come to a conclusive decision that this video shows an alien being attacked by a laser weapon.
Normally, I would agree with you that one should not dismiss potential possibilities simply because they're extremely improbable, but if I applied the "There's no proof it isn't, so it could be true" principle to -everything- I saw, I could never create a logical, feasible decision about anything.

I do agree with you that aliens probably exist somewhere, I just don't agree with this being "obvious proof" or even "slightly kind of proof" that aliens exist, just like I wouldn't believe God existed just because someone has a grilled cheese sandwich shaped like Jesus or whatever. It's perfectly possible that there -is- a supreme deity, but a single, questionably verifiable event is not going to be "proof", especially when it can be otherwise easily faked.

So I find the possibility that this is -not- an alien getting shot at by a laser beam greater than the possibility that this is an alien getting shot at by a laser beam, and taking the greater possibility than the other, I'm going to conclude that it is my personal opinion that this does not depict an alien getting shot at by a laser beam, just like one would conclude that a grilled cheese sandwich shaped like Jesus does not validate the existence of a supreme deity.

You're absolutely right, I don't believe that this is a laser weapon, but I don't know what nasa or our governments are capable of. Far fetched, yeah, it probably is but that's why I won't comment further about that.
But I'm not saying apply that theory to everything. Because you're right, we'd never have a logical answer for anything. We have logical answers for large percentage of things that happen on earth because we encounter

But this is something that you or I have no idea what it is because we've never been in space to see what things are, how they work and why they're there. So it's unfair for both of us to say it is or isn't something as there's no study based on this situation.
Logic tells us that it's just thrusters igniting and it's dust being blown quickly past the camera. Physicists in another video says no, while some say it is.

And I know your point is how can someone say this is proof when there's too many variables left in the equation. To which, this video is chalked up to someone unwilling to see both sides of the coin and jumping to an easy answer.
This is why I will always be skeptical until there's no doubt in my mind and everyone elses.
