The pvp system in EQ2 is cool! The twinks who hang out in newbie zones camping and harassing people wearing lvl 5 quest armor are not. It gets frustrating really fast when you're level 17 and level 12 and 13 guys are camping you and killing you in 5 seconds while you do absolutely no damage to them whatsoever.

Well when WoW first came out it wasnt so bad til Blizz overdid it and screwed it up. Making too easy and boring when expansions came out. I doubt if i grab the next one cata*something w/e it is.

But DDO has some major issues too, 1. Several Bugs exist like 1-2 years already. But the biggest problem of DDO in my opinion is the small community. I often find myself waiting more than an hour for a group to join.

It's not that hard to find people in the lower levels.. but in the mid to higher (12+).

I have PvPed at max level on WoW and on EQ2 and this is what I have to say in my opinion. WoW is NOT for super hardcore PvPers because the game WoW is easy to pick up and learn and is for a mix of casual + hardcore and can sustain long fun play for most anyone EQ2 on the other hand is very immersive intense and at some times complex with a complete lore and cult going with it. EQ has more classes factions and combinations in it and the PvP is therefore a bit more immersive and in the longrun fun

I dominated WOW pvp with the most nerfed classes but just looking at EQ which i am going to mess with since they put in max level BGs it seems to me WOW classes just take the most powerful spells from 3 EQ2 sub classes and put them into one class... then move the burst way up. Like a WOW enhancement shaman is like a Warder, and a Shaman on drugs.

I never gave wow credit for being immersive lol I just played because my friends all were there. But I killed most people rather fast, most of them are retards. EQ2 comparison towards WoW in numbers, i would say WoW is better. WoW has more configuration videos and animation cappibilities. Machinima's model viewer...WoW has alot more pvp videos, guides and a butt load of players. But EQ2 is a very good MMO, and if it weren't for WoW, it would be raining supreme in the MMO category

There are pvp vendors, but you cannon get a FULL set from just pving. You can get minor pieces like the chest and weapon and some jewelry for an example. And yes it is all world PvP. They have an arena where you can go with other people to fight. No resiliance in EQ2 either. Hope that helps.

I have max lvl characters in this game and WoW. I'd have to say that while EQ2 is the best MMO to date, and has a special magic others don't. It is not worth playing atm. It is a barren ghost land full of empty zones. I think that this fact is present because when the game was released almost nobody had a computer that could run it and that alone was a huge turn off. Also the younger people seem to like when things are dumbed down. This is a complicated game for grown ups! I miss the magic!

Graphics are still really good on this game and it plays really well now with todays 'run of the mill' PC's. When it first came out only the best PCs could run it at its best graphics. I think thats a problem EQ2 had, most people didnt have a PC good enough to run it looking good, while WoW could look good on PC's that werent that great.

also forgot to add the MINIMUM requirements for CPU GHZ is 1.5GHZ, again i recommend getting at least 2.8GHZ+ because eq2 is also very CPU dependant than GPU and having a slow processor will have you crash every 10 mintutes.

It is a high cpu-demanding game but it's worth it imo, as thats what separates it from WoW, Directx10, Windows Vista and Quad Core however dont support eq2 since the game was released in 2005, you'll be able to run it with those features but not so well than xp and dual-c

ok fanboys, on WoW people still get honor for killing you at 20% and below and lose nothing for taking the final blow after you just won a battle. also wow does not balance out its skill ranks to level the playing field. and EVEN MORE, wow does not restrict areas to certain level ranges.
