Sometimes I feel like I'm going to die on this ride, when I don't feel like I'm going to die on the Dragster or Power Tower - weird, huh? I just think it's going to break or something, haha.
In addition, the first half now has a point where you think you're about to run into Mantis, while the second lift drop passes next to Top Thrill Dragster's unloading station.
I was at cedar point on may 26th. me and my friends stood in this line for like 15 min and left because they had to fix something. I really wanted to go on the ride!!
It seems kind of weird they would do that though. I would think they would want to contrast them as two different rides as not to confuse guests that aren't as familiar with the park, but that's just me.
Yes, it's quite old. Mantis wasn't built yet, and that was new in 1996. This was probably taken during its debut season (1987) or within a few years after.
No, I'm not. That's the UPLOAD date. The Iron Dragon hasn't been white and red for years (since before TTD). Mantis isn't shown here, and that was built in 1996. This is circa-1996 video. Based on the surroundings, I'm guessing late 80s.
rode it 10 times for no reason

which cedar point?

This thing should be considered a kiddie coaster. It only really gets fun on the second half, the first half is like a sightseeing tour.

At 0:51, you should make a near miss with Mantis.

this is a baby version of raptor imo

I though this ride was great. Nice neg g's on the drop, and some cool close encounters with the supports.

This video was taped long before it was updated. YOu can even see that the trees havent even grown back in yet, like they are now.

The weird guy is correct, the iron dragon has been red and orange, not white, for as long as I can remember

This ride is similar to Top Gun / Flight Deck at Kings Island in Cincinnati, except its quite a bit slower.
Good kids ride, but nothing to ride home about.

This was back before the supports were painted yellow.
taranchula97 3 years ago 6
The yellow paint was probably so that the ride had a paint scheme identical to Top Thrill Dragster's.

I ride this last summer my first time to Cedar Point. The second half is much better than the first. Very fun ride though.

the kind of cars on this ride always make me feel like I'm going to fall out...especially Top Gun at KI

I like that pretzal turnaround thing at the end
29gazzilion 4 years ago 2
this must be an older pov cause the supports are the original grey color, not yellow

Also at 0:52 you can catch a glimpse of Giant Wheel, which is where it was before Millennium Force was built.
temasongu 2 years ago
You are also incorrect, the video could have been made anytime before March 7th 2007, as this is the date the video was uploaded, not taken.
