  • zu KingRobi1 wie romantisch !!!!

  • Hör ich die Anfangsklänge, denk ich sofort an meine geliebte Operette "Wiener Blut"

  • suuuupeeeeeeeeeeeeer

  • Ohne Worte <3

Der Eröffnungswalzer meiner Hochzeit (: Soviel steht fest

  • @KingRobi1 Eine gute Wahl ;)

  • This waltz and the polka mazurka "Lob der Frauen" are, in my opinion, the best works by Strauß (one of my favorite composers).

  • this was introduced in 1863, meaning he wrote it during the heat of the civil war. I find that pretty cool.

  • i love the clarinet arpegio's that start with the first theme :D fantastic piece!! 5/5

  • There's no way I could pick a favorite waltz by Johann Staruss II, I love them all!!!! I also like Lehar Liszt and Waldteufel. The waltzof the flowers is also a beautiful piece.

  • I love this waltz. thanks!

  • Immer wieder einfach nur.._ohne Worte_...Genial! thx!

  • perfect

  • I love all waltzes composed by the Strausses. But I find it rather bothersome

to recognize the German title of each work; I do not speak or comprehend it.

Anyway, "Morgenblätter" (Morning Paper) is one of my favorite Viennese waltzes.

  • Accepted! I will replenish the english titles as far as I know them :-)

  • @Operalover12002 So you prefer 'The beautiful blue Danube' over 'An der schönen blauen Donau'? In my opinion, one should keep the original title..

  • @Operalover12002

Hi! I love this waltz too, also other waltzes from Strauss father and son. I´m sure that "Morgenblätter" relates to the blades of trees, not papers, My opinion as an austrian!

The englisch title would be "morning blades".

  • @reitendeleiche

In fact it refers to papers as in "newspapers" . Trees do not have blades, they have leaves. Blatt, if I am not mistaken, also means a leaf as in sheet of paper. Perhaps Herr Strauss was waiting for his morning newspaper.

  • @karlp17 You're right .. it refers to the newspapers. I've read that Carl Michael Ziehrer once composed a waltz called "Evening Papers", in German "Abendblätter" .. so Johann Strauss II decided to name his waltz in the exact opposite .. they were always competing

  • This is my favorite Strauss II waltz. So much more complex than the Blue Danube, and wonderfully so.

    Thanks for posting.

  • wow beautiful!!!

  • Vienna, mmmmm excellent
