Yeah I keep skipping words also??? I just had fun with a G diminished 7 chord though...Feels best using your own frets don't it?Kin is Hebrew for sure man...
@Theshemproductions hmm. hadn't heard that. Couldn't find it online but found this. it's derived from a town near Glasgow apparently.
Erskine meaning and name origin
Erskine \e-rski-ne, er(s)-kine\ as a boy's name is pronounced ERS-kin. It is of Scottish and Gaelic origin, and the meaning of Erskine is "high cliff; verdant hill". Derived from a place in Scotland near Glasgow.
@damianerskine i've read that there is a possibility that Hebrews from the tribe of Dan may have been sea faring peoples and may have made their way into western Europe around 4 or 500 B.C.(may not be correct on the date) and that they may have had some influence on the language. though a lot of historians give credit to the Phonecians. so your Scottish name could have Hebrew origins! i thought that was interesting. now time for me to learn some bass!
Actually it does man...It's part of our memory we only think one way...Please learn something real.Hence frquency is memory of sound...DUH..Otherwise it wouldn't feel right ever.
2. An interchange of position of adjacent objects in a sequence, especially a change in normal word order, such as the placement of a verb before its subject.
3. Music
a. A rearrangement of tones in which the upper and lower voices of a melody are transposed, as in counterpoint.
@Theshemproductions ps - stop being a dick. ;) more time practicing, less time being sarcastic & ..."clever" please (aka., "No.. YOU go learn something real")
@damianerskine I'm hardly sarcastic man...Actually that integration on G chord first inversion is 7.5 or 8 not 12...Comes from 5 and 2.Which is in 12.Hence that's why it's shaped bad.
@Theshemproductions Right on man. Thanks. Although, I'm never really sure what you mean with your numbering system. It sounds like you have your own methodology going and it's hard to tell what you're talking about. Otherwise, I'd respond to those somehow.... are you talking degrees of the scale?

@Theshemproductions Is that code? lol.. Inversion doesn't mean do it in reverse order. more like, shift it upside down (in varying degrees..). R 3 5 7 = root position, 3 5 7 R = 1st inversion, 5 7 R 3 = 2nd inversion, 7 R 1 3 5 = 3rd inversion
@damianerskine And that's also used man for Inversion!When you use any fret that's reverse origin,from within...It's like magnets.The whole shape does opposites in sound.
wait...so you mean that i'm going to actually have to think about notes as opposed to roots and shapes? This will probably challenge me for the next year. thank you for posting this

Those numbers were from the G chord and I think they are just wrongly used.To far from a melody which makes up chords...Real ones.

@Theshemproductions 1.
a. The act of inverting.
b. The state of being inverted.
2. An interchange of position of adjacent objects in a sequence, especially a change in normal word order, such as the placement of a verb before its subject.
3. Music

@Theshemproductions b. A rearrangement of tones in which each interval in a single melody is applied in the opposite direction.
c. A rearrangement of tones in which the notes of a chord are rearranged such that the bass has a different pitch.

@Theshemproductions And that's inversion?Means=to do it in reverse order.like a derivative?Hence cannot change the key.Same quantum.

That's a lot of wood man...The finish looks like Glossed Liquid Gas, like on Saturn & Mercury....
6 strings seem to reduce the need for lots of shifting, but how do you sixers deal with that extra weight night after night?
Peace & Luv.......

@ShynAwkward Check out Damian's new bass strap -- it evens out the weight and allows for a night of playing without pain!
