I'm wondering what your temps are like on loads like max CPU loads and high gpu loads and temps with settings for some games... Love your video and u have the exact same prices I have cept mine is not completely watercooled (yet thanks to your vid it might be)
since I'm running a single loop with minimal radiators you'll find my temps are modest, but since it is water cooled the "delta" or difference between idol and full load is about 10 deg.
specifically my video cards (I now have 3 580's) on an extreme burn in don't go over 50 Celsius.
very very nice... all this on the one 1200 powersupply? gonna post what u have currently.. the only difference between your machine and mine is my watercooling set is not up to your level and im only running a single gtx580... but thats about to change.. i want to run a dual to run 3 screens.. i had alot of problems when i started mine (first water build) and there were problems, i thought i couldnt over come till i found your youtube (thanks to a friend) now i wanna redo my build
I used Thermaltake fluid only because I’ve never had any issues and I’ve read a lot of horror stories from using other fluids. I now have 3 GTX 580’s on a single loop and would like to do your HD bay removal mod but have concerns about how much radiator I need for 3 580’s, MB and CPU.
Also- I want to thank you! You take so much time educating, sharing and replying and its soooo helpful for novas builders (like me) as well as the advance crowed.
Shortly after the board came out they had an update that fixes the driver for the Ethernet. Since I never used the CD that came with the board I never had an issue, if you buy the board now you get the newer driver on the CD so no more issues.
Your setup is legit. Did a search on your board and want to see someone utilize the lucid hydra chip! Could imagine one of your 580s paired with a Radeon 6970, get the best of both worlds.
@eyeforeye5 Since the board doesn’t use “SLI” the 580’s are using the “HYDRA” chip….the problem with the Hydra chip is you have to wait for the drivers to be written for each game….for me that’s a fail. I now use the SLI patch and it works with everything.

I used it for a while BUT the issue with the chip is its driver dependant and needs a new driver for every game that comes out. They only release a new driver every 3-4 months so games like bf2bc newer are not supported.
I was thinking of using smart coils but they look very hideous and ugly. I am loving the water cooling, I don't even have to touch the voltages to over clock. I can get it up to 4.2 easy I leave it at 3.9 @ stock voltage.
I am using only one 655 pump that thing is strong, have you ever experienced your tubing become a litle flat from the suction. I am getting it from my CPU block out to my pump and I am using tygon tubing 1/2 id 3/4 od. My temps are prety good though. I am going to drain and replace the section.
Nice I think that res matches your case a lot better, looks real good, i noticed you are not using all those compression fittings the clamps are much safer i think. Was that Mobo water block a pain to put on? What kind of pumps are you using? I have mostly all my stuff now for my loop i just need to find the time and patients to install all of it, LOL; I will do a vid soon. I have been an AMD guy for a long time but the new sandy bridge 2600k is tempting; just don't know about the mobo's for it
thanks for the kind words! I used the compression fittings on the angels and where I bridged the two video cards together (just for the neat look), but I agree I like the clamps. the mother board block was easy….disassembling the PC itself was the pain in the ass!
my cpu 2600k has 21 degree celsius,my tri sli 580 has 25 degree and my motherboard has 25 degree :)

Look good bro, nice res. Do you have green coolant with the red tubing?

Doesn't your CPU bottleneck your amazing GPU's?
LinearHD 9 months ago
@LinearHD
No not that I’ve noticed. Sounds like Intel hype….lol.
I not much of a bench mark guy, but if I was I would imagine it could be an issue.

There is alot of money in that case, i didn't know the extreme could SLI? thats made my day! does it run them both at 16x? Wish i had your cash flow!
I0ITuGI0I 9 months ago
@I0ITuGI0I
It doesn’t use “SLI” but it uses the Hydralogix chip which does something similar. Yes 16X on each card.

I have 2 x swiftech MCP655 pumps. the water block was very easy to install but you do have to remove the screws on the back of the motherboard
