the letdown is this second promo... hearing the first one actually caused me physical pain because it was so incredible sounding. i find it hard to believe that a collaboration between cedric, omar and zach hill is going to be anything but disgustingly good even if it takes some time to appreciate. it took me over a year to really love amputechture.

I'm not sure why anyone gave you thumbs down. When I first heard the album, I just didn't believe I had it loud enough. It was last night I got the leak, everyone was in bed, so I couldn't jam it like I wanted. Now hearing it today at max volume, it sounds great. Not sure about repetitive though, explain? And how could you say (already, i'm sure you haven't picked apart lyric for lyric, metaphor for metaphor) not as diverse as the songwriting in Volta?

It is in fact the same lyricist, with lines like: "Don't make me steal all your vital organs, They'll make you squeal if you refuse to let them in. Don't make me steal all your vital organs, Your safety can be compromised again." something like this xD Sounds like Cedric to me man, and maybe now with a little steam coming from the top of his head, using words like f*ck in this album. I only heard him curse before on a live radio performance that I also have leaked. :p

Yeah I know, but it's isn't often to hear him curse, so when he does it's almost like a ten-fold impact. At least that's the way I feel, the longer your hold back on a word, the stronger it is when it comes out. Has actual meaning instead of ignorance. By the way, I've wiki'd omar's albums, now I have every single one of them leaked, about 11-12 albums total, just Omar. Next to get the Octahedron cd by Volta that's coming out soon.

Almost everyone loves it, you need to get used to it, especially if you're not into bands like Hella. It's an awesome record, but not really Mars Volta-ish. Too bad its only 39 minutes long... I want the other two albums now!!!
