I wouldn't criticize Charlotte, whose inherent loveliness was obvious in her early years. But modern culture, particularly British culture, and particularly Cardiff culture just won't tolerate wonderful things like modesty, beauty and sweetness surviving past very early adolescence. Everything is sexualized, and to prosper you must adapt to that. It's a pity.

I loved her classical/operatic works, however, this is excellent. It reminds me of the early days of Cyndi Lauper, Madonna & Prince. This is 80's pop to perfection. Had we not known her as a classical artist, we might have liked this a whole lot. I'm thankful for what she gave us before (her christmas album rocks) but some of the songs on this album are really vintage soft rock....enjoy it for what it is....nice video too.

Maybe it's me, but I was severely disappointed by Charlotte Church leaving classical music, given her range and ability. I understand that it probably gets boring after a while to sing songs that are a bit arcaic, but I think she could have chosen a genre that allowed her more range and showed off her ability. I wouldn't even know it was her if it had no picture. This was unimpressive to me, mainly since i grew up on her classical music. I hope her next album is better but i'm not hopeful...

Its funny because this was like 5 years ago and your all going nuts. She went through a phase which Most people do at her age. Since that Album she has had 2 Children and has gone back to her roots. Just because she was a nice young girl does not mean that this video or song makes her anything less than she was. She was just trying to fit back in after so many years out. She got back in and then went back to what she loves best. The way we all knew her before. She is Great!

I wouldn't criticize Charlotte, whose inherent loveliness was obvious in her early years. But modern culture, particularly British culture, and particularly Cardiff culture just won't tolerate wonderful things like modesty, beauty and sweetness surviving past very early adolescence. Everything is sexualized, and to prosper you must adapt to that. It's a pity.

wow, she isnt that popular where i'm from and i dont really listen to classical music, although i appreciate the beauty of the music and voices, just not my thing, so i havent followed her carrer, but i saw something on the news about her and i was wondering what she has been up too, so i came here and found out she has been doing pop, VERY NICE! much better than most pop singers, not the usual crap that one hears. hope she does more, much better than Britney Spears!

Wow!!!! Not what I expected, but I'm not complaining either. Being a singer from a young age myself, I do understand that the music she sang as child was so much harder on the voice. I just wasn't quite expecting a pop sound to be the direction she went in.

ok, as a classical singer myself, i must say that the reason there aren't more child opera stars is because it strains the voice. she HAS (not HAD) talent. those pieces of music that captivated your hearts were very difficult pieces of music written for women in their 30's who have had years of training. so if you want to be upset with someone for the fact that she doesn't do classical now blame her voice coach! who was more concerned with the record sales than the length of her CAREER!!!

I don't listen to pure pop, maybe one of the reason is this one, they don't have taste and are too comercial, but the singers I listen have their own beautiful style. I give you an example of a very beautiful moldovian woman that sings music with lots of style. Check Alexandrina Hristov- Printre Flori . :)

Better than Crazy Chick, and that's not saying anything at all. She should have gone for an R&B sound, which requires a lot more skill. By comparison to her usual music, this song sounds like she's... talking... the entire song. I would listen to her background singers over her on this song, and that is sad. I loved her classical/operatic works, however, this is excellent. It reminds me of the early days of Cyndi Lauper, Madonna & Prince. This is 80's pop to perfection. Had we not known her as a classical artist, we might have liked this a whole lot. I'm thankful for what she gave us before (her christmas album rocks) but some of the songs on this album are really vintage soft rock....enjoy it for what it is....nice video too.

Maybe it's me, but I was severely disappointed by Charlotte Church leaving classical music, given her range and ability. I understand that it probably gets boring after a while to sing songs that are a bit arcaic, but I think she could have chosen a genre that allowed her more range and showed off her ability. I wouldn't even know it was her if it had no picture. This was unimpressive to me, mainly since i grew up on her classical music. I hope her next album is better but i'm not hopeful...
