ok i like erasure i dont like this video its a bit weird , but the original song is slow boring and flat, erasure put a uplifting twist on the song and he sings it better ,they made a boring song a good pop song its as simple as that the original version is BOOORRRRIING I THINK ALL THE CRITICS SHOULD GO LISTEN AGAIN

This is exactly the way a cover should be done. If you can't improve on the original, don't do it. Andy Bell has the voice and Vince Clarke has the musicianship to put their own stamp on the song without insulting the original.

OMG such an amazing cover. A fantastic song made even better by a stronger vocalist. Love me some Peter Gabriel, but Andy Bell blows about any singer out of the water with his beautiful voice and incredible range. I really wish though that someone like Madonna would take them in hand and show them how to make better music videos. I love Erasure very, very much and have seen them live twice, but man their videos are kinda bad. Some so bad they're good, but mostly just bad.

The movie that went with this was a true disappointment, but if I switch tabs and listen this is by far the best song Erasure has done. I can listen to it again and again, and each time I imagine a new story being told.

It's okay. For me though, nowhere near as good as the original. It totally loses the mystical feeling of the original and ironically, the change from 7/4 time to common time makes it sound a tad on the silly side along with the synthesizers. Not the worst cover in the world though.
