do yall read the word, study or just listen to the preachers? Jeremiah 23:27 " ..they have caused them to forget my name for baal.. "so I challenge any christian to find out what baal means and dont say master because they would have translated it to master.
I'm sorry it took so long to answer, I don't get to check back too often anymore. The original author of this song is Rodney Bryant and the Christian Community Choir. Thanks for viewing! Be Blessed
Praise the Lord! I hear the joy in their singing too. Its a tragic mistake, that is often made in gospel circles, that ALL singing has to be at a high peak emotionally. Sometimes, Praise is quiet and reflective as you meditate on 'God's goodness And mercy toward us.'
u kno there is always and will always be some1 around 2 test a person's faith in GOD and i am pleased 2 c that regardless of the negative vibe from some1 clearly focused on the wrong spotlight u can put feelings aside and keep movN 4 Jesus...truly inspirational...
Let me add that our church is 122 years in ministry and has been blessed with a committed core of people who serve the Lord with all their might. We are inspired not just because of HOW we sing, but we are inspired because of WHO we sing about. In a time when church choirs are being replaced by praise teams and worship has become distorted by celebrity, I am proud to be in a church which focuses more attention on fellowship than on showmanship. I think the 1000 members of our church would agree.
Wow... I'm sorry but that was not good. Everything was in key for the most part but it was like the entire choir just lost their bestfriend... So uninspiring.
Well that's your opinion and mine was that it was not very good. My opinion is professionally based and your is based on feeling so, ya know just my opinion.
Pawboi-again, just like professional disagree in court cases, I also am a pro musician for your info and yes I disagree with u in both areas, wheter u have feelings r not, but thats your right as it is mine.
Firstly how many nationally acclaimed albums are you on?! How many Stellar awards do you own?! This is the meaning of professional. Secondly as you so clearly stated "everyone has a (should be an) opinion' and that was mine. So there is honestly no cause for you to debate MY OPINION. Also I don't recall asking whether you agreed or not... Thanks though! :-)
Pawboi-fully aware am I of the criteria of a professional, which I unquestionable am,but this should not be about wheter a amateur r a pro, because Gods not concerned about our credentials first of all, but is concerned about "cold hearted individuals" thats always looking for something to criticize in their fellow man about instead of Praising this song, singers and musicians for its intended purpose of "Praising God", and my opinion needs no invitation from anyone including u.
Greetings and JOY! I am the minister of music for St. Paul's and I wanted to thank you for your comments, both the inspirational and critique. I just wanted to share that our purpose as a church choir is to "lift up Jesus" and do what we have never done before namely share what God has blessed us with on youtube. I am proud of my choir members AND their performance. The church has volunteers who are not professionals just people who love God and have a song, thats the reason why we sing. Be Well
More enthusiasm needed from the singers. I imagine this song to invigorate the soul. Almost like being in heaven and bowing before the Holy throne. The anointing comes to destroy yokes and that is even in song. The singers must have the spirit of God to usher out his presence to the people of God. A good practice, but keep on striving til God's manifested presence reveal himself. Music and song are key and they work together to set the atmosphere for God's glory to penetrate the hearts of men.
i wish i could have been there to play bass.. the drummer needed some spirit.. the keys got the spirit..wait.. is that a organ?? it is.. the organ could have caught more of the spirit..
Loving the keyboard....whew.
