i have this case, the front two 140mm fans are white led by specter, i have two 2 meter led strips, one white, one green, there are 5 white nzxt 140mm on the inside, and one more 140 white led fan on the back, and the 120mm fan on my corsair cpu cooler is a green led.
i have two fan controllers for all 8 case fans, and if they all run at 550 rpm the case is silent, and extremely cool. two amd ati 5850 in crossfire stay nice and cool during any high stress 3d application. this case is amazing!
I have examined every case on newegg, tiger direct, amazon, and a few other misc websites. I'm always looking for my next favorite case for the next client. I have to say, this beats out cases that cost twice as much in features, and the design is exactly what I like. I have often wished I could be a case designer, or at least, a consultant to help companies not make bad decisions on cases, and I can honestly say, this is the first case to have out-matched my imagination. Amazing case.
he forgot that this case Nativity supports 1 60mm 360/480 rad in push pull at the top, a 240 rad at the bottom, or a 240 rad where the drive cages go in the front. in my opinion this is the absolute best case on the market right now. i would take this over any $300+ case any day. 10/10
@k24boy123 its actually cheap for all its features. you cant find a case with half these features for less than $300. the silverstone TJ07 doesnt even have 360 or 480 rad support. let alone 60mm rad in push pull Nativity. and that costs over $300. neither does the HAF X which if im not mistaken is around $200.
@superdudeb1 it supports a 60mm 360 or 480 rad in the top with push pull. a 240 rad at the bottom if you remove the bottom drive cage. and a 240 rad in front if you remove both drive cages. i would say this is made for water cooling. and frankly if someone is air cooling with this case they wasted their money.
@hulegen yah and look at how much they charge you for that tiny feature. just the aurora case is over $500. ive checked. and it only supports micro atx. alienware is a rip off. ive owned one and i regretted buying it every single day i had it after the first month. heed my warning. do not buy alienware. **this has been a public service announcement*** ;)
I wish you had shown more about all the watercooling possibilities, 'cause this seems to be THE new watercooling-oriented case. I had to watch other reviews to get my answers ;)
Rodney. Is the hot swap drive bay connector SATA 3? I have a Vertex 3 240gb SSD and that's something I don't like on my 800D. They included SATA 2, so I can't hot swap it without their different panels.
I dont know which case to get, this or the Phantom 410. Im mainly looking for well designed stylish cases with USB 3.0 and either white or anyone other color except black.
You can see how many additional features NZXT put into this case, it has a ton of stuff. Yes some features may be not very useful or gimmicky, but a majority is very useful and unique. This case is fantastic, I hope they make more stylized cases.
Only one thing I dislike is that top panel. Why need a louver style and no way to have any dust filters for people who likes to use top fans as intake.
Think NZXT should have a different design or remake the top panel for release.
@Sp33dJunki3 top fans are rarely used as intake as hot air rises. the main reason they made the top like that is to enable a 3 x 120mm radiator to be installed and be hidden by a grille. Alienware has had louvers on the top of their cases before and it worked very well.
@15DjjC13 Air goes where you push it. Hot air dont always goes where up in a case, its due to how air is flowed. I tested this on my HAF X with no fans anywhere, except for the CPU cooler, and hot air mostly came out the front and rear. Barely any came out the top. I have top, front, side all as intake. Rear is the only exhaust I have, and my temps are quite low.
@Sp33dJunki3 the internal airflow of a case is determined by 2 things air velocity and air restriction. if you use the laws of physics along with common sense you will get cooler temps. Switch your case so the top exhausts and i will guarantee you that your temps will be even lower. Hot air can be forced to go down but that is a little counterproductive as it wants to rise anyway. if you think im wrong then look at any hot air balloon.
@15DjjC13 Do you follow me, just to say stuff. I know exactly what I'm doing. My temps are actually lower with my 2 top fans as intake. My CPU never goes over 38c while gaming. GPU max is 55c. The fans are only at 50%, for noise reduction. Max speed is even lower temps. As I'm forcing airflow from the top/5.25" bay (Front) towards the rear. A case is different that what a hot a balloon is in air.
I would ask you to read and learn about negative/positive airflow.
This is undoubtedly the best case i have ever seen, from top to bottem they made everything full proof, and not flimsy. There is someone doing something right at NZXT production and he should just be head of design with a promotion. Thanks Rodney.
Actually I dont mind the plastic so much as I mind the cooling. The fans aren't standard rather only fit with its own fans. Also watercooling support is minimum.
I'm trying to get into the metric system, but being from the US, I'm very attuned on the US system... so reading in millimeters does nothing for me, I have to us Windows calculator the convert the measurements, in future videos could you read off both the metric and US standard measurements, please?
@DutchDukeMan yeah, there are cases with removable trays. for some people it's a big selling point because it pretty obviously makes installation a bit easier since you don't have to do everything inside the case.
YouTube comments are enabled, but if you have a question, comment or suggestion for me, please follow the link in the description box and post it on the 3dGameMan site (you can post anonymously if preferred). I won't be responding to questions on the 3dGameMan YouTube channel. Respect ;)
@TechThoughts you got a point there but i just said that because every one said the the rear light is a new feature when the alienware area 51-alx and the aurora alx have them i dont like them though to expensive and blue pcv motherboard with gray interior just looks cheap IMO But just me being picky XD
