@Doctor699 ain't that the truth and in 30-40 years I'll be point out to the stupid that their crap is totally unsuitable for composting or fertilzer as they do not promote growth.
The cancellation of Constellation is a BIG mistake ! And a shorted crime agaist science !! Constellation would have taken us back to the Moon by 2020 ! And on to Mars by 2033 ! When Mars is next closest to Earth... Find the money Mr. President ! Wars cost money and takes lives. Human space flight enriches our knowledge ! Improves lives ! Creates jobs ! AND inspires children !! Space pays !!
@davis3001 Like the ISS was going to be completed in the 90s for a few Billion dollars right? NASA was not well enough funded to do any of the missions in the programme in the given time frame and even with a few extra $B they'd still have had to scrap most other science missions to free up the cash. Whereas now they give incentives to companies to develop the same capacity with much lower outlay and a more competitive structure, in the long term it'll give better results, I think.
@baybahadir what's the point in going to topeka or paris, everest, yo' mom's house? Why bother, been there did that why go again? The simple answer is because...

We never went to the moon in the first place.
The evidence of a hoax is crushing. I posted a partial summary of it on a science forum. To see it, google "The Naked Scientist". In the "New Theories" section there's a thread entitled "Did we land on the moon?". The post is on page 15. It's the 7th one from the top.
That's bullshit!! We have pictures of the landing sites with the landers on them. There is NO evidence, let alone "crushing evidence" that we didn't go to the moon. I'm related to Jack Scmidt (Apollo 17), and guess what . . . they really did go to the moon.
@josh71111 ah but we did go to the moon and all the stupidity and ignorance in the world wont change the fact that you have believed in liars who said we didn't go. I suppose you believe in a deity of some sort also...newsflash for you children, there ain't no god, gods, goddess etc.
The ROI from space exploration is worth the cost.Necessity is the mother of most inventions. Only when we try to invent new things will we stumble upon issues that need novel solutions. And some of those solutions will help mankind live more comfortably on earth. Many of the things we take for granted (like for example using communication and weather satellites) are offshoots of space explorations like these. We can definitely afford good things like these.
Yes It would the lunar regolith can be turned into helium 3 and that can be used for nuclear fusion solving the energy crysis when there is a permenent base/city humans could live up there solving the over population problem
The entire universe should stop untill every palestinian is rich and happy. Maybe if palestinians woke up and rejected their death cult culture they would know peace. As long as palestinians are the foolish puppets of mre foolish islamic idiot governments, there will be no peace for palestinians. And i'm alright with that. ON TO THE MOON!
Oh, i thought the whole universe stopped for israel. The journey is out on that one. Atleast the whole worlds stops all its business for israel. The universe? whom knows.
Israel was once someone elses territory, not yours or those you unmistakably routing for. It was palestines territory. Rejecting that statement is like saying donuts arent american, and kadaffi is a friendly tea partner.
dont go to far by using threats you and your people offer yourself a tenfold by which you accuse palestines.
We all know its israel that engages into battles,
we all know the whole gaza strip is a suburban waste land of cottages and underfed palestines under so called governing control of israel. Control my ass, savages, thats what israelis are. Im not accusing jews along with it, just zionists are almost all israeli.
Yah hopefully we'll get our heads back in the game.. I'm very excited! Theres talk of using the moon as a launch platform to mars & beyond, which sounds pretty cool.
It will be real funny in 30 40 years time when they say the shuttle was faked, that there was no or is no ISS. I will laugh at that!

Imagine what we could have done in 36 years. instead of sending people to the moon again we could be planning for manned missions to jupiter by now.
calimann83 3 years ago
unfortunately you cannot land on Jupiter, since it's mostly made of gas
astronomers believe it has a small solid core, a fraction of the size of the planet
McLarenMercedes 2 years ago
It's 36 years since we've been there! Such a shame, we should have kept going there and built bases and facilities there the whole 36 years.
