I think y are wrong. Melechesh doing thrash metal with some harsh parts..I would not call it anymore black or death metal since epigenesis. they really dissapoint me with Epigenesis. But the reason why i think you are wrong is: Does anybody talk about the 1000 nordic pagan bands like " they want to be like this and this band " just because they using nordic folk melodys? Oriental influced Metal is a GENRE, like pagan shit, so how can a band "like" another - its because of genre!

After listening the new melechesh album i can say it sucks. Sorry, nothing against melechesh theyre great musicans..but i hate thrash metal...what happened with the black influence in their music? I prefer now Narjahanam, theyre much darker and more death/black oriental than shitty thrash.

@Blutroth whaqt melechesdh does defines the genre, they never repeat themselves and they keep leading. It is not thrash at all it is just them. Epigienesis is a milestone but for the matrue ear for a more adrelanine person emissaries is thebest this is how i see it/

A genre is invented by someone it does now appear out of smoke. Melechesh invented this sound 100% but they said in interviews their dream is for this to be a genre. Problem people with tiny diks wont admit they r influenced from M

Btw i also listen to old stuff like cruciamentum, witchrist, diocletian, necros christos, but i wouldn't call narjahanam modern just because of "oriental" influce! Whats the logic behind this? Just because this style has never been much accepted by musicians ?
