The reason this movie sucked is because of the lousy lazy actors and an even lousier story telling. Shyamalan stated himself "We grounded Katara's brother...and that really did wonderful things for the whole theme of the movie." Really? Imagine what this could have been like in the right hands? Like Peter Jackson or something? Quit hating the movie. Sure, it's not perfect to the series and maybe not even right at all. But at least it became a motion picture, and at least they put their efforts. I enjoyed it.

they left so many things out of the movie that were important to the storyline of the avatar series!!!! for example, in the movie sokka never met sukie... come on she is a major character, she was sokka's girlfriend and dont even get me started on the firebenders! WHAT WERE THEY THINKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im not someone who usually gets pissed off about a movie but when they make a terrible intepitaition of my favorite show i get mad!

1. fire benders cant make fire
2. they saved random earth bending towns. but they went to different places
3. katara did not still a water bending scroll in the MOVIE

Imagine what this could have been like in the right hands? Like Peter Jackson or something? My heart sank after watching it because of how good the series was and how diabolical the film was, such a shame. Quit hating the movie. Sure, it's not perfect to the series and maybe not even right at all. But at least it became a motion picture, and at least they put their efforts. I enjoyed it.

Katara doesn't fight with water-bending she just hits them in the face. (The only scene she's shown water-bending in combat is against Zuko.)
Aang <- They keep calling him ONG. It's A-A-N-G, not ONG.
Sokka <- They keep calling him SOKAH. It's SOKKA.
The Earthbenders are (Asian?)
The Waterbenders are (White?!)
The Firebenders are (INDIAN, LOLWTF.)
The Airbenders (The "master" is black? lolollol.)

@PeaceEqualizer: They skipped HUNDREDS of things which is understandable because since the movie is only two hours they wouldn't be able put all together in, but it's no excuse to completely change EVERYTHING. Seriously, even the smallest detail at the end of the movie where Azula accepts the request from her father. She doesn't say in the cartoon "Yes I will accept father.". She doesn't say a damn thing! she just lifts her head and smiles evil-ly which signals that shit will go down. Bad movie

This movie was an attempt to cash in on a popular series and totally screwed the fans over. None of the characters were anything like their originals and all love and touching scenes was drastically destroyed. The fights were small and unimpressive. I don;t want them to touch this great story ever again.

i cant say this cuz im biased as i was expecting something like the show but i didnt like it and was super disapointed by how different and serious the movie was. but i cant say anything cuz i have no idea how it wouldve been if i hadnt seen the show first
either way i like the humor in the show, this is just to serious. sokka didnt even make lame jokes! and aagn "ung apparently" wasnt as carefree either :( i dont blame the actors, just my opinion
