ok so.... you buy paint for $5 (in this case he used 3 colors so x3) , buy the t-shirt for $3, so you lose $3. If you get into this job don't expect it to be such a huge amount of profit :P

@Ladomendigo BUT with that paint you can do a lot of those shirts, lets say you use 15$ pain (3 colors) on 10 shirts, you pay 15$ for paint, after that first shirt sells you don't need new paint since you got paint left, so yeah, you can make a profit..... if you know what you're doing

@2011super Lots of places carry stencils. You can find them at some local art stores, but usually, the best place is online. I usually buy mine from Coast airbrush or kustom shop mainly because they have a great selection, and kustom shop is about 5 mins from my house, haha. Check their websites, you will find plenty. I only use the masks as a starting point, or for filler. The rest of my work is all freehand.

When I first started out in the automotive market, I had to find out the hard way that I was charging too low. Not everyone is looking to make money with it, no, but most are looking for a fun hobby that they can make a few bucks with. If nothing else, it will pay back what the equipment cost to get started. I know it sure has worked for me!

He's using specific airbrush paint. Most is acrylic, reduced to make it flow well. Google "Airbrush supplies" and you will find a multitude of airbrush stores that carry this paint and all your other airbrush needs.
