@katiefellout I've gotten by daith pierced twice, and both times, I've gotten keloids. The first time, I just ripped it off without even thinking because I thought it was just some sebum or something. I got my industrial piercing done about a week ago. The first hole wasn't too bad but the last hole hurt the most. I honestly believe that it depends on you as far has how much it will hurt and how the healing process will be for you. The healing process for me is pretty easy. I mean, I know it will be awhile before its completely heals but I don't find it painful at all. Maybe because I can take pain pretty well. My piercer did it pretty fast and talked to me the whole time :)
Its actually easier for the piercer if they use a gauge bigger, it makes it easier to put the jewerly in the needle to push it through. using a biggger gauge is usually found in self piercings because you dont have the same angle. :3 no you are informed, :3 love your videos
yeah ill agree with you. the needle going through dosent hurt too bad its the putting the jewlery. when i got my tragus done they put a labret in and he snapped him an it reallllly hurtt. xD awsome healing time for all my things htough.

It's a little sore right now but I can still lay down on that side and everything.

Any professional using a gun in my opinion shouldn't have a licence. I'll message you a link to the APP (Association of Professional Piercers). I'm very much into body modification, especially piercings (only have nine at the moment ((stretched lobes, seven facial, one oral)) because my parents don't want me getting anymore), and I really doubt I'd ever get my ear cartilage pierced. The risks and healing time really don't seem worth it for me. I commend you for taking them like a champ.

I got my tragus done on my right side and the chick who did it pierced it diagonally. It looked really good for like a month and I had the small stud with the flat back. I cleaned it all the time but it still got infected because the flat part of the back is right up against it. I took it out and got it re-pierced 2 months later by a piercer who I trust and he put a hoop in it and I haven't had a problem since.

@hoehoppers There is something you should look out for. Keloids. If it looks like skin is growing over the bar, you should consider returning to the place where you got your piercing and they can sell you emu oil or tea tree oil for a somewhat reasonable price.
@CasyCatastrophe thanks for the advice. (: it helped. i did go back to the polar, and i never got a keliod. but i did soak it 3 times a day, and used bactine on it. and the sweelling went right down. (: its still a little painful but not as bad as it was before. (: and since i just turned 14, my dad said i can get my daith pierced. :D

@jennabenna6600 with the cartilage, its not too long. its mainly the first bit because your ear isnt used to it. the bump is normal, if its around the piercing itself. its swelling, and should go away (:

Healing sucks, I have one tragus done and it's so annoying. My niece and nephew were in town for a month and they are 2yrs and 9mths, oh boy do they love the shiny object in the side of auntie's head. I'm also in the process of stretching and if enough time is taken, it doesn't hurt at all (for me)

@atrivas Mine healed within 6-12 weeks. After 2 years, it's still not healed enough to take out and leave out for longer than 5 minutes without closing.
I had my rook pierced and I loved how it looked, but it stared migrating and it started separating my cartilage so I had to take it out. I miss it but the sensitivity of it I do not. I like to wrestle and mess around and stuff and it would get hit every time I did. It is a beautiful and unique piercing though.

@msdill21 It doesn't hurt very much at all. I got it done last year (I was 14) and I finally decided to do it. The adrenalin makes you completely forget about any pain in the moment, so from a scale of 1 - 10 I'd give it a 4. It's so worth it! And I could sleep on it after a week. If you do get it, get a stud cos your skin will want to heel over the hoop and it will be nasty (trust me!) :)

I got my helix done w a gun! I researched it after I done piercing w a gun and it says it will tear the cartilage and I freak out. But it heals really well. I want to get the tragus/rook but in Singapore, I don't even know is the shop are licensed piercing shop so I'm scare it is not hygienic.

I actually love my tongue piercing. Haven't had any problems with it what so ever. I think tongue is the best "first" piercing, 'cause the actual needle thingy doesn't hurt at all!
i have doubles and a helix or cartilage whatever piercing, and the doubles don't hurt AT ALL. lobes are painless.
but the helix hurt (and still does) like HELL. i got it done at claire's, which is a big no-no to anyone who wants to get that done. don't go there. they use a gun to pierce it, which shatters the cartilage and takes more healing time, and it hurts like friggin' hell to heal, it sucks. but it looks SO cute if you have doubles and you wear little diamonds in all the piercings! :)
I know what you mean about the industrial, i got told it would be fine in four weeks, but its still a little sore five weeks on. and i get the bit about sleeping on it, it only hurts a little now if i lie on my right side which sucks because i normally sleep on my right side.

ur piercings are cool (: I'm 14 and I have 7 piercings total, I have 3 on each lobe and then I have my cartilage pierced on the left side.. none of them hurt even a little :D

@jennabenna6600 with the cartilage, its not too long. its mainly the first bit because your ear isnt used to it. the bump is normal, if its around the piercing itself. its swelling, and should go away (:

i got 13 piercings, 6 in the lobes, 5 in the helix (2 of them stretched) and my most recent piercings rook and nose. The rook deff hurt by the far the worst, even more than self stretching the helix. It looks so good but at times it still hurts so bad that i wona chop the ear off lol ^.^

Healing sucks, I have one tragus done and it's so annoying. My niece and nephew were in town for a month and they are 2yrs and 9mths, oh boy do they love the shiny object in the side of auntie's head. I'm also in the process of stretching and if enough time is taken, it doesn't hurt at all (for me)

I got the helix piercing about 4 months ago and it still hurts. It got swollen, but now its cooling. It still hurts like crazy, I don't know why. I really wanna get the tragus! I think I might this summer.

I have 25 piercings, 12 in each ear and my tongue done :) Nothing hurt worse than healing, and definitely not worse than stretching my lobes.

I got my rook when i was 16 going on 17....I begged my mom for the rook because it was soo cute and different, she tried to bribe me with a bag just so I wouldn't get it....too bad :) and now so many ppl at school got it

i have my lobes, industrial, and rook. my industrial was also my first, besides my lobe :) i did the two pillow thing too. i actually think my rook is my favorite, because i had such a good experience with it.
i love ear piercings! i'm trying to figure out what to do for my next one. i'm thinking my daith but it looks like such a difficult piercing.

@atrivas Mine healed within 6-12 weeks. After 2 years, it's still not healed enough to take out and leave out for longer than 5 minutes without closing.

I had my rook pierced and I loved how it looked, but it stared migrating and it started separating my cartilage so I had to take it out. I miss it but the sensitivity of it I do not. I like to wrestle and mess around and stuff and it would get hit every time I did. It is a beautiful and unique piercing though.

@msdill21 It doesn't hurt very much at all. I got it done last year (I was 14) and I finally decided to do it. The adrenalin makes you completely forget about any pain in the moment, so from a scale of 1 - 10 I'd give it a 4. It's so worth it! And I could sleep on it after a week. If you do get it, get a stud cos your skin will want to heel over the hoop and it will be nasty (trust me!) :)

I got my helix done w a gun! I researched it after I done piercing w a gun and it says it will tear the cartilage and I freak out. But it heals really well. I want to get the tragus/rook but in Singapore, I don't even know is the shop are licensed piercing shop so I'm scare it is not hygienic.

I actually love my tongue piercing. Haven't had any problems with it what so ever. I think tongue is the best "first" piercing, 'cause the actual needle thingy doesn't hurt at all!

i have doubles and a helix or cartilage whatever piercing, and the doubles don't hurt AT ALL. lobes are painless.
but the helix hurt (and still does) like HELL. i got it done at claire's, which is a big no-no to anyone who wants to get that done. don't go there. they use a gun to pierce it, which shatters the cartilage and takes more healing time, and it hurts like friggin' hell to heal, it sucks. but it looks SO cute if you have doubles and you wear little diamonds in all the piercings! :)

I know what you mean about the industrial, i got told it would be fine in four weeks, but its still a little sore five weeks on. and i get the bit about sleeping on it, it only hurts a little now if i lie on my right side which sucks because i normally sleep on my right side.

This is so true,like about the tongue piercing. I see so many young 16 year olds and even 13 and 14 year olds getting their tongue done and thinking nothing will happen,when in reality LOADS of crap can happen...it's your TONGUE for crying out loud. I'm glad someone finally addressed this.

It was really painful for me too I cant wail till I can change it =) but its starting to hurt more cuz I done feel it as much so I bump it more so it hurts but I love it =) oh btw its on my left side too n_n
