  • Are you still planning to upload the vid for the GPS replacement?

  • finally i can get back to stealing gm cars and not be tracked

  • @Ginger6259

    hahahaaa lmfao

  • I tried to find my module in the back of my 2011 Equinox, but was unable to remove the trim in the area that you suggested. Any tips. Great video by the way.

  • That video is perfect for all the car stealers out-there who stole cars with onstar. haha no more tracking! all those people paying for onstar tracking are screwed!! lol

  • Awesome vid! Thanks for posting.

  • If you are paranoid enough to think OnStar is a sham versus it often-times being a *life saver*, here's a thought: DON'T BUY A GM VEHICLE!

  • I have a 2011 YUKON, I was told the Onstar in behind my stereo, so I would have to go under the hood. Is that TRue?

  • @smokeysempire1 The Onstar would still be in the back. The Onstar device has a cellular module that emits radiation and as per the regulations it must be placed a distance from all occupants; also the cellular module interfers with electronic components like your stereo so it can't be placed near it or under the dashboard. The OnStar module is not weather proof so it has to be placed:

    1- Far from passengers

    2- away from electronics

3- protected from water and humidity

thats why its in the back

  • @kissra69 do you know where it’s actually placed in the back? Yukon GMC 2011. And all I have to do is remove the BLUE as showed in the video, just to disable sitalite tracing? So without the blue pug the vehicle cannot be tracked?

  • You may think OnStar is great -- but -- let's say you go on a vacation: GM will know when you left, what roads you took, what restaurants you used, what motels you used, what amusements you visited and for how long, when you returned, and how fast you drove. GM says they have the right to sell this information if they want, but they're not doing that right now. I'm turning off OnStar (my Buick dealership refused).

  • so where is that replacement video?

  • Great video. Can you please make video or explain about the retrofit device that will replace the original OnStar unit with the one that can be used with a cell phone.

  • The only gripe that I found after doing this on my 2008 Silverado was that after unplugging the power connector it turned the ABS and BRAKE lights on.

  • Where is it at in a 09 cobalt

  • No need for onstar at all..you can use your cell phone to call for help and it also has gps which you can just shut off and to make sure just battery is out...walla! and you are a free citizen..and when you need to make a call or use gps just turn it back on!

  • Thanks for the vid, you are a good person to do this.

  • Every time I try to watch this video it doesn't load. I'm thinking "conspiracy."

  • any idea where my onstar is located for my 2011 chevy cruze. i hate onstar and need to disable it asap.

  • I like having onstar

  • @chathamshawn This vid 4 people who bought GM & didn't opt-in 4 tracking that can let OnStar staff to listen inside ur car at will, even if you didn't hav subscription. Also all car movements, speeds, oil changes wer u serviced ur car..list goes on.. Those people who don't want OnStar should have option to disable it & if u like then keep it. Its EXCELLENT vid!!! Also this vid debunk myths like the rechargeable battery & its fully reversible & that you wont affect any car systems. Thumbs up!!!!!

  • @chathamshawn That's because your a real SHEEPLE !!

  • I"d rather be there with you...:-)*~~~Enabling your motor*

  • Nice job, show the people how its done ....
