Rise of rome has New units Including the strong " Scythe" and new weapon/armour upgrades and new civilisations and cilivisations build diffrent things and u can click multiple times so theres a Que for the armys that come out new campaings and new maps and alot more just search for AOE ROR on google Excuse my spelling :(

There's a mission called Crossing the Alps or something, in that there's a little village with 3 watch towers. I was just crossing with my army of Armored elephants (about 40), 10 [things with helmets], 1 scout and 1 heavy cavalry. The tiny little village watch tower attacked me while I was passing by, so I burned the village to the ground and even destroyed their wall.

5 mins later I came across a VERY civilized town which belonged to the village. They attacked me, and took some of my army.

-Sorry, I don't know any download sites but if you search for this "age of empires collection 1 & 2" on Ebay ($8.00-$10.00) or Amazon ($4.99-$10-00) you can get a good deal.

-AOE Collection includes Age of Empires plus Rise of Rome expansion, and Age of Empires 2: Age of kings plus The Conquerors expansion. (Not bad for like $10.00)

i never have so many villagers chop wood. i actually have a max of 5 villagers chop wood bcuz if u upgrade the wood things for the market u get extra wood when u chop

@soldierman1776 if you want to train chariots, then you should make a chariot rush and that takes a long time if your doing at your way because chariots cost more wood than food, so gold is not that important, the wood is the key to victory (kinda lol).

Good times. Bought myself a copy of AoE collector's edition (AoE 1 and AoE 2 + expansions) a few days ago. It was the only one they had in store and it was a little hidden among the other DVDs, so I was lucky to spot it and now I'm enjoying it. :-)

@Mazryonh At your local electronics store perhaps. I've seen many copies of Aoe1 and Aoe2 at Fry's Electronics and Best Buy (which might not be a store in your area). If worse comes to worse then Amazon or torrenting is always an option. It's definitely worth the hassle to find it though. :)

feels nostalgic;this was my life for 4 years ,i also got it from 98 SE cd.Played its demo version countlessly .I would play same scenrio thousands time using different strategies.Best one was to use early gold to make priest,make wall than converting literrally every possible unit,in the end i would have an army 200-300 villagers which will wipe out computer even after suffering huge losses

Woo! chariots ftw!! Great vid, as long as your target audience was mostly beginner, not really anything new in it. Best tips - Chariot's own, always rebuild storage pits. I was always also a big fan of farms. My advice is to get your upgrades as quickly as you can, esp your villager an farming upgrades.

@PincheU I know how to play the game, but when Assyran broze 2-3 minutes before you, and have 10 chariot archers in your town as soon as you hit broze, theres nothing you can do, If they find your food villagers the game is basically over.

I am FORCED online to either play Assyrian or Yamato... unless it is with people who do not rush.

Random Map is ruined by this. Every single god damn person is 100% always assyrian and rushes chariot archers because it's a cheap win. There is NO counter to it other than to do the exact same thing, in which case your economy is 100% wood and food based. It's almost impossible to make ti even bronze with a race like Choson since they don't get the imbalanced +30% villager move speed. Oh well, people will always abuse the cheapest and most effect strategy, and that's why death match > Random.

This was my childhood, i played it almost all the time when i was around 6-10 and i still play it to-date. The only problems i had with this game was:

1.) Limited resources (not re-generated)

2.) Pretty dum AI
