    MAk-Productions.............

  • last post... how did you learn 3dmax? any good online stuff you would reccomend? I know parasolid modeling and nurbs modeling but not mesh, and 3ds max..

  • music is also key, shows you have a good mind to appreciate it.

  • Genius work, have you tried using a 3d connection device like spaceball off ebay pretty cheap x2 the speed using it. I have to say that car is nice design, nice modeling. pure talent your going to go far. amazing you had time to learn and go to school for general stuff too,

  • nice music and thecars are really cool : )

  • Hey i wanna do car movies in this program im still learning but u know when you have almost finished and you need to do the interior can you just put really dark tint on instead and not actulli do the inside???

  • Why is it that so many people use this music for their backing! It seems to me that 1 in every 5 youtube videos have this music in the background. The violin bits. WTF!!!! It's a copyright can of worms I tell you!

  • really nice work...!

  • awsome

  • this video just reminds me how shit i am at 3ds max, haha

  • Thats really awesome! you should be a car designer haha

  • i didnt force you to do anything. can hit back whenever you want dipshit.

where are your videos with your own composed soundtracks to back up your shittalk?

  • good comeback ;) btw loved the vid :)

  • @Foxrace666 Its funny anyway because i think everyone wants to see it the way it is, he is just a troll.

  • does every hollywood movie rip off music when they use it? dont be stupid

  • awsum car, just when you render it you should have the materials of the car 2 sided... my only prob with it :).... good job

  • Alex

No need 3D Max to make this. I can make it just with Autocad 2006

  • badass man! really good, how do u light ur scenes?

  • fuckin awsome

  • Man, you can make nice money with this stuff...

  • I have to go and practice now^^

  • Thats so cool! Nice, lol sweet... Wish I could do these stuff! :(

  • By the way how long did it take you to learn so much about it?

  • not exactly sure. i started in grade 9 and was learning on my own until grade 12. now i just screw around here and there when i have extra time.

  • Ok, I am now 7th grade and I am starting to learn 3D Max, but with tutorials :) For now I only know how to make a 3D Bullet, but I hope for future I'll be making cool stuff like you. Your car models are gorgeuos by the way :)

  • @cyberhuntera he didnt force u cuz u were able to just start watching from the back and no1 forced u 2watch this at all

  • wats the name of the first song???

  • same rofl i bought it but i haven o clue how to use it

  • lol im not buying a $3500 program unless IM sure ill learn it, I dont think I have the patience.

  • i didnt buy it... wel i did... but i was in Seria (dunno how to sell it) and they have load of copied programs like 3d max and adobe and stuff... and games, dvds loads :P all for like 50p each :P. Well if u changed there money into scottish money (im scottish) then its 50p, and so it will probably be like 1 dollar or something for u

  • awesome man! 5* .. congrats;)..

  • nice lotus maaaaaaaaaaaan but wats that first song called???

  • requiem for a dream

    the originals abit faster

  • u should be in fucking MIT or something! Btw

how much did da software cost u and how hard is it to learn??

  • ya i wish i could get into schooling. cant afford er. 3dsmax isnt the cheapest program but there are ways around it. it has a prety steep learnin curve but its worth the time

  • Hi. Did you model the body with nurbs? I have so much trouble with them, as all the icons are green. I can't learn the functions due to the layout of the toolbox All the icons look the same! I spend ages just trying to find the loft function!!

  • sorry man its all poly modeling. i have experemented with most methods nd still prefer poly

  • I know what you mean. Box / poly modeling is quite easy to learn and very versatile, however the subdivisions build up, and then before you know it you have a high poly count, where a few nurbs planes could have done the job. I like polys, but in large scenes, they can cause headaches..

Now I know it's all poly.. Nice models!

  • That was all poly modeling? Nice job man.

Do you remember how many polys it was? It looks like quite a lot.

  • if i wasnt so lazy i could go open the file and check er out but... lol all i remember is in the end my comp was startin to slow a lil lol

  • How long did it take for the engine at the start or the lotus elise?

  • umm. the engine i think was about 4 or 5 hrs tops. and the lotus im not to sure on. prob 6 hrs or so

  • great job on the Lotus elise that look so sweet :)

  • the engine is too simple man

  • but still, the engine looks cool.

  • sick dude i love how ur into the turbo scene...all with front mounts and shit hahhaa. now u gotta make them come to life. how about submitting some to rFactor racing sim. that would be sweet.

  • Very impressive models!

btw, what's the name of the first song?

  • Try Requiem For A Dream soundrack. Summer Overture I guess. The second I don't know.

    Great stuff,

    Cheers.

  • lol wow, nice work for a high school kid. good job.

  • best

  • what a waste of excellent models, you should really work on your scene setup and lighting.

  • check my new reel and see what you think of those.

  • great attention to the detail mate.

i love the detail on the v8 engine block, but since ur preview was showed part by part going onto the engine u should of paid more attention to the covered area's of the block as well. besides that great work man. i was trying to model a r33 once too, but i failed cause of the bp's i had. well

    keep up the good work!

  • What song is this?

    btw, Nice vid

  • Clint Mansell - Requiem

There are many versions of it, its a remix of some sort

  • how many time you are teach 3ds max?

  • im lost to what you are trying to ask

  • I've been trying to make cars lately and is difficoult... so nice work !

  • WOW dude!how old are you?

  • im 18

  • are u using vray or just normal rendering looks beeter than normal ??

  • that was all using normal render. but with raytrace materials. i started using mental ray now as you can see in my new reel

  • you should get v-ray its awsome how much better you can get your renders to look ive tried maxwell aswell but its abit of a pain in the arse to be honest!! but looks like you really dont need any help in the render dipartment:D

  • you must be new to 3d if you think V-ray is the best you must have never seen someone render somthing using Mental Ray that really knows how to use it and light it!!! And remeber that 60% of the looks and final product it the designer and 35% is lighting and texturing and the final 5% is the render!!!

  • ok pal im just saying that i prefer v ray to mental ray and maxwell and blah blah percentage this and percentage that but i know for a fact that rendering in maxwell and vray makes a big difference. for example maxwell has some of the best lighting possible and the indirect illumination of vray is some of the best you can get : D and by the way 60% of statistics are made up remember that : D

  • Awsome video but How I make animations like smoke or fire and thoose things?

  • there are many ways. using addons such as afterburn or using partical effects. you can find many tutorials with a quick google search

  • Get Fume Fx its the best!!! afterburn is good as well I am not putting fox down on everything I just want people to know!!!

  • ya i just started using fume fx. works good. tips to you all. you need a good computer for simulating it

  • Made a small new Vid. shows some more recent images. check it out in my videos

  • the interior shot was truly impressive. the dash detail was stunning. great job on the detail.

  • man, this image is amazing. i'm just learning 3ds max. and right now my images just get so distorted I don't know what to do with them. What modifier tool do you use? EditableMesh?

  • i use editable poly.

  • hi you seem out to be very familiar with 3ds max! Since i downloaded the trail, and was lucky enough to find a product key on the internet i got no tutorials :(

So could you please tell me how to make previews of my videos which INCLUDES all the effects i applied to a model? I have been using it for a month and now i can make good graphics and textures. Well, when i hit "Make Preview" it shows the like you seem them in the viewport :( So how do i apply Reflection, refraction, opacity etc pls!

  • What it sounds like is you are going under Animation>make preview. that is good for rough drafts to see how it will turn out. to make a finished render you need to use the render menu. i hit F10. then you can find a spot where it allows you to save your render. use that and save as an AVI or prefered video format. then near the top select active time segment for render selection. hope this helps.

  • the 1st song?

  • Looks like a remix version to "requiem for a dream" anyway, search for Clint Mansell, surely this first song is him creation.

  • nice work!!

    anyway,

what is the title of the song??

  • no comment,amazing

  • the skyline and end anims are SW33T

  • thats amazing....hopefully i can be like that one day. Also, whats the name of that song?

  • thanks, the song is clint mansell- summer

  • it looks like the result of all the tutorial ive seen on the internet ..its nice what u dit but its preety average ,youre cars are to low on details

  • yea there most of my older cars. now i am making full interiors and the occasional engine

  • AwesomE!! Nice effects. I love the song you chose Reqieum For A Dream :)

  • amazing! im learning 3ds max my self in school and at home, im finaly just started to get the hang of it but still no ware near ware u have gotten thx for the vid, things like this inspire me =)

  • NICE JOB

    REGARDS

    JUAN CARLOS CESAR

  • wow

    your are awesome !!!!!!!!!!

  • How did you get the neon effect undern neath the car, as i want to put some neons under my ford focus model?

    thnx

  • i had to use a plugin for that. i believe it was finalrender or somthing like that. there is a FR cylinder light i used. but if you dont want to "aquire" the plugin as its expensive you can cheat and create spotlights and scale the cone into a ellipse.

  • thnx, i will just "aquire" the plugin. lol

  • i bet this takes a really long time to get it done...

  • when i first started it took long. now i can usually make the body of the car in a couple hours. then it all depends on how many details i want to do

  • can u reccomend any tutorials, Awsome models by the way

  • i have found many good ones. it depends what you want to model and how. my recomendation is to do a google search and put

3DS max ______ tutorial. i found many from cars, planes, to animation and rendering tutorials. sorry i dont have any actual web links off hand. good luck searching.

  • ok ill try that

  • 3dtotal(dot)com/tutorials

  • Nice job man, i realy like it, why dont you try to get a job as a draw painter, there is good money it too,

and what is the name of that song?

  • ya im looking for a job. most places require some sort of degree from a university or something. the first song is mansell-summer and the second is moonlight sonata, cant remember if its beethoven or mozart.

  • mt bommmmmmm

    mt bomm mesmo!!!

    parabems!!

  • DUDE TEACH ME

  • haha i have concidered goin back to my old highschool and see if there is some sort of program i can do and be the drafting teachers assistant or somthing.

  • hey i made up my car but got problems with rendering, its a 350z and i need orange colour

  • well how new are you, not trying to sound rude, but have you used material library yet? my suggestion is find some tutorials on the internet and they give you very in depth details on how to create realistic materials, currently i use raytrace, i find it gives more realistic reflections.

  • you're good

  • hey i started modeling 3 months ago, and i am in grade 9 now, just wanna know wht type of modeling do you use, poly modeling or spline modeling or NURBS. Thats the only obstruction in my way, which one to choose. And the first music is great.

  • hey, well right now i use poly modeling, starting out with a plane and making it a editable poly, then drag vertices where i need em, nd extend out edges, but for some people it is easier with different methods, id go out and do a few tutorials and see what you find best.

  • what software do you use?

  • it says in the name of the video, most was made in 3dsmax 6, and i have started using 3dmax 9.

  • omg nice vid i like the first song (another requiem for a dream remix?!?)

  • nice work...love the suspension

  • hey thanks for the comments, yea Adam145 it all takes practice nd ul get it. i have been working on 3d models starting in grade 9, so about 3 years. i still find myself to be learning constantly. right now i have come to a bit of a stop due to no longer having good school computers to use and having crappy home computer haha.

  • 5stars i like porcshe one!

  • Awesome animation and models ! I wish I could create enything near as good :D 5 stars from me
