  • Her son is James Cormwell, the General in The General's Daughter.

  • I get such a strange feeling everytime I hear this HAUNTING & BEAUTIFUL song, Well I`m just as dated as this movie! The movie has lots of funny scenes, Along with some FANTASTIC period styling. And Lillian Roth does a song called "Low Down" thats to die for.

  • Kay Johnson was a underated beauty and was never given the star treatment she deserved.Gee,the film looks dated...its 1930..I wonder why?..A strange film? you bet...but its worth seeing because its so Art Deco....Thank you for presenting it here!

  • It's not that this film is dated. It's that it is so freaking bizarre. It flopped when it was released in 1930 because it's so...bizarre. But indeed the decco production design is beautiful.

  • This movie is really dated however the Art Deco sets and the stunning Adrian designed costumes make it worth watching at least once.

  • I wish CNN would play the whole film! Cecil B. DeMille was a genius.

  • @takomaguy Oops, I meant TCM. Same owner...

  • Does anyone have a clip of the song she sang at the beginning of this scene, "Meet Madame"? I love that one.

  • Elegant Madam Satan gown, more stylin' than I remembered from having seen the movie years ago. Wonder whatever happened to it?

  • Didn't Cher wear it sometime in the 1970s?
