The EV1 is optimizes for on-road use; taking it off pavement is a little risky (I wouldn't do it unless I had to, I wouldn't want to risk damage!)

Ya, I thought for sure I was going to bury it on that beach. I didn't realize the sand was so loose. I've got cars stuck before and I was seriously praying that this wouldn't be one of them, so I used a few tricks and they seem to have worked.
