I enjoy Rob Zombie. The first Halloween movie he did, compare it to the 70s Halloween.
In the 70s Halloween, we don't know why Myers did what he did. What drove him to commit the murders? What was he like as a child? The typical who, what, and why questions.
With the remake, we knew why Myers did his crimes, starting with the typical sign of a serial killer: mutilation and torture of small animals.
I think Zombie is doing a good job ending with H2. Don't over-'sequel' a remake.
Honestly I think that is what made the original scarier. It's a lot more disturbing and creepy when you have no idea why the person is doing it.
The background in Zombie's remake was not only unnecessary, but overdone. Cruel to animals, broken home with a good chance of at least verbal abuse, and likely physical.
I understood the vision he had, but he went overboard and IMHO made a version inferior to the original.

Like I saw the texas chainsaw massacre remake in canada right and it had totally different opening and the directors cut never even made it to dvd in fact opening scene showed up on deleted scenes I actually think try out directors cuts see what people think and thats why played in Canada first see if get as many scares plus are rating system is more for hardcore gore.

With the remake, we knew why Myers did his crimes, starting with the typical sign of a serial killer: mutilation and torture of small animals.
I think Zombie is doing a good job ending with H2. Don't over-'sequel' a remake.

Honestly I think that is what made the original scarier. It's a lot more disturbing and creepy when you have no idea why the person is doing it.
The background in Zombie's remake was not only unnecessary, but overdone. Cruel to animals, broken home with a good chance of at least verbal abuse, and likely physical.
I understood the vision he had, but he went overboard and IMHO made a version inferior to the original.

if this is following rob zombies last halloween, then no, he wouldn't rather kill his mom. he loved her. he hated his older sister, and his step dad. which he killed. his mom killed herself and he only wanted to protect his younger sister.
the movie will be interesting, but the idea is a rip off of the friday the 13 movies, which i agree with you totally.

michel is evil, he has no motive or sad background...he is evil because he was born that way...i do not want to see this movie and know that his mother is telling him to kill...micheal meyers is not a family man...he doesnt show compassion or love or even hate...he is evil by nature...there is no emotion inside him...only rage and lust for blood

If so, then you obviously know you are wrong. he cared very much for his mother and younger sister. then. and when he broke out, he went to reunite with his sister. his mom killed herself. not him. and when he had her, he could have killed her and only chose to kill her after she turned on him by stabbing him.

yeah but his mother was the only other person who was kind to him in the house. moms boyfriend was abusive and judith was just a plain bitch to him. he did love his mother but as time was going on when he was a child he was slipping away and becoming the quiet killer he became. still cares deeply for his mom though.

Like I saw the texas chainsaw massacre remake in canada right and it had totally different opening and the directors cut never even made it to dvd in fact opening scene showed up on deleted scenes I actually think try out directors cuts see what people think and thats why played in Canada first see if get as many scares plus are rating system is more for hardcore gore.

I hope Daniel Harris doesn't die quickly (or at all). She's not listed as a main cast member, so I have a feeling she dies in the hospital and is probably the one being stabbed my Michael. Other than that this looks like it's going to be really interesting...Can't wait.
