  • @Zantek007 Two more things. I have a Lexus LS400 with 702,000 miles, best car ever made, so I'm not as Biased as you think. And American cars are only good in a straight line?! Might want to inform the Dodge Viper ACR, and the Corvette ZR1 about that. They are both faster around the Nürburgring than nearly every Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, BMW, etc. Also the Cadillac (yes a caddy) CTS/V was the fastest 4 door on the Nürburgring ever until the Porshe Panarama just recently. It was over...

  • @Zantek007 I hate Ford, yet they are doing better than Toyota, Honda, and Nissan. Look up some info before you talk shit.

  • @Zantek007 I'm American, but I hate this country. It's called the American dream because you have to be asleep to believe in it. I'm moving out of the country in a couple of months. Thank you I am a cultured individual as I've been to around the world, and have experienced life. As much as I hate this country, and what the rich are doing, I know that there are a few gems in the rough when it comes to domestic offerings. It's idiots like you why still look at the industry as if it's 20 years ago.

  • Out of all the cars ive ever had and driven, I have probably driven about 16 different German cars that include mostly BMW and Mercedes. I have also driven about 10 different Lexus's and a few toyota's. Honestly, I cannot see how anybody can say anything close to bad for Lexus. Im talking with the same money you put on a BMW, if the same amount was spent on a Lexus, hands down the Lexus outperforms it, and is 10 times more reliable. Out of all the cars i've driven, Lexus would be the best.

  • not bad it got 5 stars. the apillar didnt buckle so its a safe car

  • look u japanese mofos stop copying your German masters ( Mercedes-benz )

  • Passenger airbag looks like titties :P haha

  • I don't understand why people bother arguing about car companies.....after all the car companies are the ones that are making the millions and billions of dollars NOT YOU!

  • its flying man?????????????

  • I'd rather be in my 3 series =P E46 ftw... new ones suck xD

  • The right airbag just like a butt !

  • holy crap.. all the luxury car crash tests I have watched are TERRIBLE! WTFF!? Might as well get a f'ing HONDA!

  • Love Lexus.

  • passenger airbag looks like a big ass...lol

  • @mikeburrly or big boobs haha

  • ごみ

  • Toyota has recalls, but i'd still buy a lexus.. i love thier cars and always will :)

and like what the hell, why not give me that lexus instead of crashing it ;/

  • i agree i got a Hyndai thats falling a part bit by bit! its so annoying.

  • I love my car, I like my Mark Levinson audio-video, I like my ventilated seats and I like that my door's key holes are not rusted as I have seen on BMW M3.

  • perfect car..lexus & toyota maintain its quality

  • @Italian518

Lexus is part of the Toyota group, and Toyota have been around for a long time. Lexus has been around since 1989, and where I live there are still many original LS400 from the early 1990's going strong even with high milages (ie. 150,000km and above).

Yes, I too see old Benzes, and to be fair the older Mercs were solid durable cars, but the Japanese also make durable cars, there are many Lexus/Toyota cars with very high milages and they still run perfectly.

  • one of the best cars ever made

  • lexus is the best car ever, in reliability/ quality.

  • just looked at more comments

too many fools from the us ect on here, german cars are shit i never seen so much shit to come from there. i have worked in there dealers. my local lexus garage is full of german tread ins. bmw ect the game is up.o bmw / mini why ye buy the diesel engine from toyota????????.

  • @chinkushou

If German cars are so awesome, then why do they have so many issues with reliability? (partcularly Mercedes Benz).

I have driven a Lexus, and they are great cars to own and drive.

I own a Toyota with a Lexus V6 engine, and it is a great car to drive, plus it's very reliable.

  • Toyota 2009 deficit.Detroit is declining and crying.

  • This should be done to all Lexus IS out there. Such overrated crap is what these cars are. Ugly, unrefined and the interior is so damn cheap and yet all these Lexus cocksuckers worship it as if it was the second coming of Christ.

  • don't be retarded dude....if lexus was crap..unrefined..and used shit interiors...why would they be at the top of the list?....doesnt make much sense what u said, now does it? lol....now looks wise....i think they are pretty dull

  • Waste of a gorgeous car.

  • not a waste at all......thats like saying a human life is not worth saving

  • ...its not

  • driver side airbag looks like huge tits. or balls. wonder if that was on purpose?

  • dual chambered airbag, to reduce chest injuries :D

  • a bag that looks like a chest protects chests. makes sense. thanks for the info

  • lol you're right

  • I would like to add something more.

I like people when the clearly know what they like and why.

I hate people, victims of the marketing of every firm, trying to convince me (and the others) that our taste is wrong, and they are right.

The best car on the world is the one that satisfies all your criteria. We are not all the same. Thats the reason we may found so many different products on the market. One for you and one other for me.

  • Yes, finally someone who doesn't say i'm crazy if i want a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 6 without safety measures.

  • I wonder why German car funs are speaking so much about crash test results.

    1. A French car was the first with 5 *

    2. Sure, a strong chassis car is what everybody wants to have.

    3. But, it is preferable never in your life to realise how strong it is by yourself...

  • I CAN FIX IT AT MY BODY SHOP :D

  • THATS A TOYOTA

  • thats t a lexus. look at the emblem at 0:26

  • toyota owns lexus thats why u can see some resemblance of it in their luxury counterpart

  • Reckon the first crash woulda totalled the car?

  • mabye....

  • of course it would look at the engine it like squished to shit you can't drive away from that

  • I just wanted to chime and and put my remarks down in what appears to be an argument between philosophy student that can't spell, and a person whom I couldnt' care less about.

    So here it is!

  • it's the way All Lexuses should be treated ;)

  • I just gave you a link to one of the two institutions in the United States! Show me your facts. You just admitted it yourself that the information comes from these institutions. I gave you a link to the IIHS, and they said that Audi, Volvo, and Mercedes make safer cars than Lexus. What more information do you need? I got my information from YOUR source. If you are this naive, I cannot possibly fathom how you are as wealthy as you claim to be.

  • Well, show me those facts, because I'm not looking. I gave you official information directly from the source, it can't be more accurate than that.

  • Now that I know you are so wealthy (or at least you say so, this is the internet after all) you probably have somebody caring for your cars. I would bet a pretty penny that they know more about the car than you do. I take care of my own car. Your opinions about Lexus being the better car have no backing. You still have not shown me "the FACTS" that support your opinion. Unlike you, I did. I know I'm right, Audi, Mercedes, and Volvo make safer cars than Lexus.

  • Sounds like a threat to me. Being you hold a law degree from a notorious college, I would tend to think that you know comments like this can be held against you. You must really suck as a lawyer.

  • Well it wouldn't hurt to use proper grammar. At least live up to these degrees that you "earned." And a degree in philosophy dosn't mean anything to me, you majored in space rather than an important subject area.

  • How old are you faggot, i should put a bicykle in your mums ass

  • Just for the record, when I was searching for a car this past summer, my top priority was safety. I looked at several Lexus models, but they did not hit the mark. I looked at a Jaguar also, but it lacked features too. My ultimate decision was between a Volvo S80, Mercedes ML-class, Mercedes E-class, BMW 3-series, or an Audi A4. I eventually chose the A4, but as you can see, all are European. With safety as my top priority, I think I can judge better than you can in that area.

  • How can you criticize my writing when you write crap like this, "NO European car CAN ever be considered luxury cars till they stop making the so sporty and HARSH! 'nuff said! WORD."?

There are a number of grammatical errors and slang words in that sentance. I'm in one of the most exclusive high schools in the country, I have a 95 overall average, recieved a 96 last quarter in english honors, and I am taking AP language and composition next school year. You probably did not finish high school.

  • Are you retarted or just thick headed? I gave you a link to the IIHS, the guys that perform the crash tests. They have the equipment and training to determine how safe a car is.You probably didn't even go to college. I don't know what makes your unsupported opinion a fact, but I'd like to see your sources. I didn't see one Lexus on that list of top safety picks. I presented my facts, where are yours?

  • That's what you are sayin, but not the world haha Faggot. You'r talking like ur 12yers old.

    im 14 and own you

  • Oh, one more thing, please learn some proper english. It's very difficult to read something an idiot typed up.

  • I'm not a fan of Volvo, I prefer Audi and Mercedes, but I think you are overreacting a little. Volvos are very safe vehicles. They market their vehicles as safe and they almost always get excellent scores from the IIHS. I think Audi and Mercedes are more stylish, but Volvos are just as much reliable. As far as Lexus is concerned, it's a Japaneese excuse for a luxury car. All Japaneese cars are pieces of shit.

  • @Italian518

"All Japanese cars pieces of shit", are you kidding??

Toyota is the world's No.1 car maker for a reason, they produce reliable cars at a good price. Mazda, Subaru and Honda also produce great cars.

Modern Japanese cars are just as safe as European cars, and most importantly they are more reliable.

    Seb

  • I love japanese cars. I'm may be american, but our family owns two toyota's and you can't beat the reliability! My brother also owns an acura.

  • Ohh the new safety feature that volvo is the safest car in world check the facts!!!

  • What do lexus have? luxury? something else. that's why it fits whith aston martin mercs bmw and audi. If volvo wouldn't have quality then it wouldn't be safe. Volvo is more durable and better family cars. and it own lexus in thwe winter

    !!!!!

  • It seems like cars give their lives for the passengers now.

  • OMG i didnt think that lexus was that weak at protection 3/10

  • is the front passenger airbag a 2-stage airbag? i saw that airbag infalted twice.

  • i think it's very light

  • Toyota/ Lexus is the God of the automotive world. their R & D expenditure last year was in excess of 6 billion. BMW and mercedes can only pray they keep up with these guys.

  • At 0:29 the passenger airbag looks like someones big ass pressed against the windshield! lol

  • Better a big ass-like air bag than a windshield flattening your nose and your forehead splitting open and part of your brain seeping onto the dash and seat.

  • wow, it does... probably designed by some black guy.

  • This car est bien. At least the windscreen and door glasses aint shatter into pieces during the collisions.

  • hgfrjkgfjjj, your comment sounds really biased. I'm sure it's an extremely good car though. I knew from when I was like 10 yrs. old, that Volvos are safe, but when you start saying that they're better comfort than lexus, or start talking about volvo sports cars you make me start laughing. Leave volvos as they are--normally good extremely safe cars.

  • it's not i like just saying that volvo got better comfort it's the experts...

  • hgfrjkgfjjj, english please.

  • ok hgfrjkgfjjj, volvos are safe, I know. volvo's country's 'experts' say their cars are the most comfortable. ok, comfortable for them, I understand. BUT they are NOT "better than lexus on the road" like you said in the top-of-your-head comment you posted. I would say volvos are the one of the best family cars, but they will not beat lexus on the road. You think your volvo can beat a lexus GS300, LS, or ISF? Volvos are very good & I would like one for my family but they are like old-people cars.

  • just because you're swedish, it doesn't automatically make your country's cars better than everyone else. I would like to see volvo beat lexus in the market if they're that much better.

  • yes, im swedish but im telling the true

  • japan has better cars now... more cheap, more powerfull, same safety

  • Retard: Lexus was rated for the last 14 years in a row by JD Power as the brand with the highest long term reliability and initial quality. Aling with excellent crash test results, I would take Lexus any day over Benz, Bummer, Volvo and Audi which have all gotten crappy

  • @alexkvaskov

How has Audi and Benz gone crappy? Seems to me the only German brand that has actually gone crappy is BMW.

  • @910127 They have been designing very ugly cars - new C class for example. I posted that comment before I fell in love with Audi, so I take it back but German cars are nothing like what they used to be in the 70s and 80s, with world leading reliability and safety. But Lexus is still no where near :)

  • @alexkvaskov

C-Class looks Ugly???? U must be blind then

  • wazzuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuup

  • 'lexus is toyota'

hey, that's a compliment although only Lexus ES is mostly related to toyota.

toyota parts are very reliable, affordable, etc.

It would be dumb NOT to use it.

  • Yowzzzaaaaa!!

  • racist to asians well uguys r indians not the racist lol

  • if you want to survive in a car crash just drive Lexus

  • they're called crumple zones.

  • painful to watch

  • I'll take a Lexus over a Merc or Beemer anyday, might not be as exclusive but they are much more reliable and keep they're value alot more.

  • Yes, just look at Consumer Reports. Lexus is number one and perfect in every way. Mercedes is way below average and unreliable.

  • lol yup!

  • I hear all these people blabbing about German cars and how good they are. Fine! BMW and Mercedes are great cars, But Lexus is right up there too. Why dont you guys look around you, how many Mercs or BMWs have you seen on the road that are more than 10 years old, Now compare it with how many Lexus cars you see on the road that are more than 10 years old. I rest my case.

  • True dat....my lex sc300 is 16 years old and still kickin'

  • Lexus for is more reliable than BMW and Mercedes I have had all three with Lexus I never had a single problem I did however with BMW and Mercedes

  • I am too cheap to own a mercedes too... I like my lexus because it is so cheap: cheap repairs, cheap depreciation, cheap on gas.... cheap cheap cheap and because it is a lexus nobody will ever suspect that i am a cheapskate!!!

  • mrstickyrice, Yeah, I'm Japanese & I was kind of surprised to find out that lexus was actually sonsidered "luxury" in foreign countries, considering that they're so cheap (compared to mercedes bmw etc).

  • Actually, I see a lot of old Beemers and Mercedes on the road. My friend's dad had an '88 (I think) Mercedes 190-class. It has over 250, 000 miles on it and it's still running strong. It's covered in political bumper-stickers and there's so much junk inside lol, but that dosn't affect it's superior performance. I have not seen an old Lexus on the road yet. Oh, wait a minute, they were only founded in 1989, no wonder why.

  • apparently you failed grade 5 math :) I said 10 years. Look around you, and Im talking about Toyota Lexus to be specific. Japanese cars are more reliable than any other car look around you. I own a lexus I love it, but im getting a BMW very soon. If your looking for a 10 year planb buy a Lexus, if your looking to change your car every 4 years buy a BMW. AND im not saying it wont last more then 4 years im just saying id like to own a lexus on the long run

  • Then tell me why you are buying a BMW? I passed 5th grade math with an A+ for your information. I'm not taking your 10 year statement into consideration. My point is, Lexus is a 19 year old company while Mercedes is well over 100 years old, not to mention the inventors of the automobile. I do not believe I ever saw an old lexus in person, but I see a bunch of old Mercedes, older than 19 years. I do not think BMW's are reliable, but Mercedes is a much better car than Lexus.

  • you can like more than one car company. And no you do not know math if you did you'd know how to count more than 10 lol. It doesnt matter how old the company is trust me, Look at the American cars they were making cars just as long or probably even longer then the Germans and Japanese and are there cars reliable ? NO. When you say better ? yes in some ways it is but like I said for better spare parts and a longer life I prefer a lexus (Japanese Car) and I think a lot of people agree with me.

  • I said it once and I'll say it again, I was not taking your 10 year limit into consideration. Your telling me I didn't pass 5th grade math, yet I know the unit circle in the back of my head. With that said, in general, there are many older German cars on the road than Japaneese. I see old Volkswagen Things, Beatles, and Jettas almost daily. I see even more old Mercedes and BMW's on the road. Within the past year, I saw one old Toyota on the road. German cars are without a doubt more reliable

  • @Italian518

"Mercedes is a much better car than Lexus", sorry but Mercedes Benz is making rubbish these days, and they are living off their past.

Toyota/Lexus are making the worlds best cars.

I see many old Lexus cars on the road, and they are still going strong.

  • @aidan4age

Yes Toyota and Lexus have been producing some great cars, and they only seem to be get better and better each time.

Virtually every Toyota/Lexus owner I have met is absolutely delighted with their cars.

And every mechanic I have spoken to, has never ever had a bad thing to say about Toyota.

  • I never said the Japanese didn't make good cars, I'm just saying that Mercedes makes durable cars too, contrary to your belief.

  • Because Mercedes recommends that you replace every movable part every 5,000 miles

  • my car cool!

  • if theres japcrap wot kinda crap u made of?...mhmm yeah...

  • biah69, You are right. LOL THere is a reason though. It is Lexus' dual chamber airbag that lets your head fll through the airbag to the base of it rather than being smacked by it.

  • lmao, the airbag does look like a butt!! xDD

  • darzrav lexus is the best choice, compared to price and features lexus have practicly the same features of A MB or other but a more reliable price ohh and its japanese!(the best quality for less the money) hope the help.

  • You hit the nail right on the head. I own and drive an LS 400 and it's very true that these cars are extremely reliable. In fact, I think the Lexus LS has the world record for the most auto journalist awards. And the car is less than 20 years old.

  • Denial :)

  • If you bothered to dig up any real history about Lexus, you'll know that their very first car, the LS 400, utterly slaughtered the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and BMW 5-series for four years running.

  • Ok buddy...I had a 1992 Toyota Previa which had a fridge in it. Yes, a mini fridge, and now Mercedes is putting it in their Maybach which costs half a million. Stop talking about copying shit. And i dont know what your talking about standerd airbags on MB in 2000. I rented a 2000 C class in Germany and had TWO airbags.

  • Im seeking to buy my parents a new car and i was thinking 1 of the top 4. (BMW,Lexus,Merc and Audi). Currently im looking at the lexus LS460..What do you guys think?

  • go for it

  • lexus is japanese..

  • yes japanese cars are better quality and more reliable

german car are often more expensive for no reason,by right Japanese labour should be more expensive

  • If i were in an accident....Lexus, MB, BMW, or Audi are the way 2 go

  • yes... all of the europien cars are the safest.

  • Lexus isnt european....

  • you know what they ment X-D

  • at 0:28, the passenger is lucky^^

    He's motorboating:D

  • my wife was a passenger in an IS accident!

n she did actually describe the airbag as gigantic ass in ur face!

it saved her life, but scarred her dignity permanently.

  • totally agree malcolm, Lexus' are great cars had an 05 bmw m3 after 11 months 7 trips to the dealer for repairs 1 time left me my wife and a 7 yr old boy stranded. I have had it.bought and 06 IS350 so far 2 years 30000 miles not 1 problem. The bmw had airbag failure and abs failure it was a pos.

  • mr lexakis first of all i can afford to buy one but ther piece of shi* the reason why because i would buy a car for safty mb is not safe 2007 mercedes benz s6oo amg steering failure happend to my mom because they r cheap have worse reliability then a kia and they stay in the shop thats were they live horrable trade in value against lexus has bettter reliabilty safy andworth more in the end mb has transmission problems steering defects and squeaking in the steering.mb worlds most expensivelemon

  • Stop arguing. I just love seeing cars get smashed up!

  • hmmmmm the passenger side airbag looks like some inflatable double D cups

    boob-like airbags ftw.

  • was this car damaged by the crash?

  • Another stellar crash test for Lexus.

  • can u explain why mb is safer than a lexus??u crashed them both?japan for ever!much better cars the fact that german cars are overpriced doesn't mean that they r better!

  • just cuz you cant afford one doesnt mean theyre not better. you, my friend, need to stop hatin

  • at saving your ass in an accident. if you wanna drive a sexy casket with wheels, be my guest, but if my life is on the line, toyota/lexus will be the reason i will live to see my wrecked car after an accident.

  • Lexus is more reliable than a M.B and BMW I have had experience with both. and my Brother has a BMW the Lexus is more reliable than both BMW and Mercedes its a fact trust me. not that I like the styling of Lexus much but they are more reliable for sure. I like the styling of BMW but they tend to have problems alot

  • Could you say "reliable" one more time plz.

    We didnt get it.

  • you don't like my comment that's fine but don't be an idiot

  • reliable= less maintenance= less money for parts and repair

  • very well said

  • your absolutely right, Lexus is porbably the most reliable make, ive had a serious accident with a 1991 Lexus Soarer V8 SC400, and the headlights didnt even crack? but the result was a masive masive hole in a factory and a lamp post being bent, but the car, just wow, and even more wow to it is that its 17 years old the car! :)

Lexus or well Japanese cars will last longer than any other

  • yes yes this is why I put Toyota or Honda before gm, ford, and Chrysler. It's also sad that I was born and still currently living in Michigan. The only American product i trust is Boeing.

  • yeah i road in a solstice once. very nice!

  • BMWs get more repairs cause they have a shitload of things

  • no, they get a shitload of repairs cause their overall quaility sucks... sure it maybe more responsive but why do you think they say if you are going to be a car machanic become a bmw one cause bmw owners like sibblings will always need a repair ever so often

  • That's why my 200,000 miles 13yo Toyota Corolla haven't see a mechanic.
