My dad was in the paras and was in N-Ireland from 1989-1991, and had 4 men killed by the IRA under his command, 3 were blown up in a landrover at Mayobridge by two IRA memebers who escaped by motorbike, and one knocked down, dragged along when his webbing became caught under the car and left to die on the side of the road by a hit and run driver who was later caught and found to be a memeber of the IRA.
