  • this is good stuff! the video and sound is amazing on 27 imac :D

  • i love that movie!

  • i was watching avatar on mine full 1080p, and it looks fucking amazing ! It renders beautifully on my i7 imac :P It almost looks 3d !

  • i love macs esp the new i7 iMac, cant wait to get mine, my shitty macbook from 2006, with an intel GMA 950 card can even play 1080P movies, i can just imagine how much more things ill be able to do with this bad boy

  • impossible... imac does not support external 1080p.. or bluray.. and dvd DOES NOT support 1080p.. so the only way you was able to do this is installing windows and using an external blu-ray player with usb connection..

  • You don't need to go into every single comment and reply with your false information. 1080p is defined by the resolution: 1920x1080 in case you don't know.

In this case, this video was ripped out of a bluray at such resolution for testing purpose. I have removed all your other comments.

  • aww wow.. great piece of information thank you! lol.. even my 4 years old brother know 1080p is 1920x1080 and so i was right you are using bluray using windows.. you should mention that

  • I hope the 4 year old is not your older brother.

What tells you that OSX can't play 1080p content...? (encoded in AVI) Do you know what is a bluray ripped video? Ouch. If not, do some research and hopefully that'll shine some light for you.

    .....

  • Check the date of this video, it was within the first few days of 27" iMac released and there were still a lot of unknowns up in the air. I was one of the (if not the) first walk in customer to get it in Canada. The forum member basically wants to see how 1080p renders on the 2560x1440 panel. I don't see any reason I need to "fake" this, nor respond to you further to defend from your attack out of jealousy. Any more offensive comments from you I'll just delete them.......

    Thank you.

  • @migeru29 lol lol lol . Youtube expert, get outta here and get a clue

  • it says rendering, not reading..

  • Talk shit, get hit!

Of course the iMac supports external 1080p, in fact, it supports internal 1080p too.

Stop being a troll, all of your comment are incorrect.

Your stupidity is carved in granite!

  • Wow, he was using CC captions (for hearing impaired) to understand what were they saying, you can tell because those describe background noises as well :-D

  • Nope I am not hearing impaired! :) :)

  • The same guy that designed that iMac designed the white robot in the film. Nice tie in there even if it was unintentional lol.

  • It was unintentional ;)

I used Wall-E just because I had a 1080p ripped copy of it, and I absolutely loved the movie!

  • that's really crisp, clear clarity, i wish i could afford a mac, i've always wanted to try one

  • I agree with you 100%.. I think next computer I buy may be a MAC

  • thats amazing, usually when people film their screen you can tell, but this looks like normail quality from a film camera

  • @perculiartom: it's a great display but I think the difference here is mostly thanks to the excellent camera (as described in the video description), not some mobile phone.

  • Looking smooth
