you may be able to find some in the ditches but iono yet. Just don't get caught goin into them its against the law. I heard there are crawfish, fish, and turtles down in the ditches.
Ummm, by Azusa (Around Covina), there is Camp Williams Which is 15 Minutes from the Entrance from Azusa to Covina. Over there they have a ton of tadpoles during Marchish-Augustish, but only in the clean and calm waters that are warmer than the others. It is mainly a river but if you head upstream it leads to another section of calm waters and me and my cousing caught alot there :) Hope I helped. Its free to go there as a visit, but like $50 to camp overnight.
